Because the Livery Editor has it's short comings, we can't paint decals 'special colors', which is rather unfortunate. Today I had an idea to bypass that issue. I present to you, Inverted Flames. To many people this will look like 2-3 colorshift decals on a black car. To those who know better, this will look like 251 black decals on a colorshift car.

By doing this, you can change the flames(and hood) to any special color you want with a single click, and many of them look really good. The fluorescent really stand out, but I did it mainly for the colorshift, so that the flames have some life to them.

To tie in the hood, I reversed the colors:

And to make them pop, I tried a few different colors of pinstripes, light blue or lime green seemed to work best:

I’m still trying to understand how you did this. So you paint the hood and it somehow turns the other decals the same special color?

No tricks, just time. The 'stickers' you think you see, are not stickers. Everything around the flames are the stickers.
Basically, I put decals all over the entire car EXCEPT for the design I wanted to show through.

Here's an easier to understand example:

I painted the car whatever color I want, and then used 3 black stickers on top of the paint (one huge block on the left, one huge block on the right, and 1 thin line down the center) to cover everything EXCEPT the lines you see, which creates racing stripes. Now, when you change the color of the 'car' all you can see change is the 'racing stripes'. So the car will always be black (because it's decals) and the stripes can be any color you want, simply by painting the car whichever color you want. This allows you to make the target area, a 'special color' that decals don't allow you to.

I was awarded a Red SRT Tomahawk GTS-R Vision Gran Turismo car, with Carbon Fibre Bonnet Stripes as a Daily Workout Reward.
But was a little disappointed to find that when I tried to do a New Livery, it painted over the Carbon Fibre. Making it look exactly the same as the usual Red one, which I also have. Could/should Polyphony Digital add a "Paint Over Carbon Fibre" (Yes/No) Option ? Alternatively, could they Add "Carbon Fibre" as a Special Colour / Finish for all you Livery Editor Artists out there ?

Team t-copia FT-1 is on the process!! Few changes, No more Michelins, now Goodyear tires since goodyear is a client, yellow lights to contrast the isotipe and red sides on the spoiler for the same reason!

Oh, yes, I forgot, I'm now deciding which base color should be since the in-game sky blue matches very well the sky blue we use...

If anyone for whatever reason is unable to use it/make the svgs/whatever and wants something uploading, give me a shout and I'll see if I can upload it for you. Everything can be found with #aletdownofstate (in tag position 1 if that actually matters?)

Now to crack on with some liveries!

There's some Marlboro stuff that's been up since the uploader beta thing started a while ago. So I guess it's fine for now?

@SHGTP Got them done. zf.com one I basically had to make by hand because I couldn't find any examples of it anywhere other than the one you posted. So it isn't the exact font, I don't think, but it's quite close. After this league race is done I'll upload them and send you a PM with the tags for them.

Top stuff mate. Did the same thing with my Tron cars..very tedious but the effect is worth. Well done.
