Who's Biggy?

Also not sure if this link will work, but here's all the decals I've got uploaded so far if anyone wants to use.

It's just a regular Google search like any other. Go to Google and click on Images, then type in something like "coca cola filetype:svg". Download what you like and make sure it's under 15kb and open it in Inkscape to ensure it is indeed a real vector logo. If you need to reduce the size try running it through this: https://jakearchibald.github.io/svgomg/ Do not save these files with Inkscape, just use Inkscape to look at them.
Sorry, just to be clear I was referring to searching for completed liveries on the GT Sport hub on PC. As we know, the search engine in game doesn't detect anything over 24hrs old. I'm wondering if the PC search accesses the whole livery archive.

Made myself a 911 GT3 RS - Rothmans. This one was inspired 100% by the Dakar cars. The base tricolor livery took me more than what I'd expected. Only used 4 decals from the game/shared library. All the others were imported or created and imported.

Didn't share it yet. Will probably do it in the near future.

I had no idea you could search online. Does this allow you to search everything or is it still limited to the last 24hrs?

Go to gran-turismo.com and log in. You can then search for liveries, decals, the whole lot as if you were on your PS4. The search function is a lot better, you can even add items to your library, etc. It's looking a well polished tool at the moment.

I'm using Inkscape and when I attempt to upload a pic it tells me "invalid .svg format" ? What do you do in Inkscape to properly save it as .svg?

I have limited experience with inkscape, been doing a few decals with it. You can't just open a .PNG file and save as .SVG. you need to use the .PNG as a background image to trace/create the .SVG file over the top of. You can do this with the trace bitmap tool. In the options be sure to uncheck "smooth" and check "colour". The next tab will also have a "smooth" box, uncheck that too. Once you have done that you should have two images, one on top of the other. If you use the directional keys on your keyboard you can move the new overlay away from the original below and click on the original to delete it. You then go to file and save as .SVG.

I've decided to not share openly any of my liveries for the time being. I've spent hours / days creating them and around 95% of the people who leave a "like" don't share them. And I'm ignoring the people who get them and don't even put a like because there's no way of knowing how many downloads a certain item has. It's a lack of appreciation for other's (in this case mine) time and effort imo. I've only downloaded 1 livery (the superb @NBDESIGNZ rusty gulf 911) and I liked it, commented it and shared it. It's the minimum I can do to show the creator my appreciation for his time, skill and his willingness to share his work with everyone in the GTS community.

I get messages from people asking me over and over to share some liveries they've seen on some of my photos and they don't even share the ones I already shared. What's the point in getting something from someone and keeping it to yourself, really? I don't get it.

So yeah, for now, I'll only share shots of my liveries from photo mode. I'd suggest all of you to keep / start showing appreciation for the people you get liveries from (especially the obviously complex ones) and share them with your own friends. I'll keep doing it for sure.

This probably sounds worse than what it actually is, but I had to get it out of my chest. :D
Show appreciation, share what's shared with you.

@sumbrownkid you go to the rear view, zoom in, look up and move the camera down at the same time. I've left my signature on some rear wings with that method. Is more subtle.

if you set the depth and angle to maximum in projection settings the logo should bleed to the back of the wing, all though it will be mirrored.

Thank you so much, now I will use the carbon fiber decal on the rear wing.

PD if you are reading this, please please please allow us to keep carbon fiber parts bare naked instead of painting it over.

Don't...just dont. Don't be that guy that panders for likes with liveries. It isn't worth it.

Personally, I can understand why people like..."likes", it makes you feel good. But don't fall off your rocker because somebody didn't smash that like button. I find my gratification in knowing that someone out there is using something I've created. I still get likes, not many, but enough to know that people have seen my work, and at least someone has used it at some point. I paint what I want, if others like, hell, that's a bonus, but expecting people to like and share, it just feels...more like screams "Hey, you better look at me!"

I'm not saying you need to upload all of you're liveries, what you do with them ks you're business, but when you do, don't disgust yourself over someone not giving that gold star on an exam paper. Just know somebody has it, and is enjoying, isn't that enough?

I don't mean to come off so hard edged here, but to me, it just sounds like you're crying over something that isn't worth crying about. I'm hapoy with knowing somebody, somewhere is happy with what I've done. That's all I need, but you're not me.

Back on topic, all those schemes look great! I'd download the 919 if it were up, but maybe not having it up will drive to make my own. I've done it before.

Anyhoo, nice job.

Not sharing because you dont get likes or whatever sounds a bit “crying for attention” sort off, but nice livery you have there thats a fact!

I share all of them and get few likes sometimes. 1 is enough for me to find it awsome 0 dont care make them for myself in the first place.
