Seems like GT6 assets in GT7 engine. I. . . hope it doesnt mean we will see that in GT7 . . (like Trial Mountain in GT5,6)

The nurburgring clip for GT6... the round 4 of Academy... bobblings cars doesn't mean GT7.The thing that got me was the way the cars moved. That clip of the Bugatti sliding across the corner, the car bobbing up and down and the suspension picking up the uneven road surface looks far in advance of GT6's physics.

Agreed. But its the low res track textures Im worried about. While the track graphics in the trailer are beyond PS3 and GT6, I still dont see as much 3D grass and 3D trees that line the road etc.GT6 assets in GT(7) on PS4 aren't necessarily a bad thing: any of the cars created with adaptive tessellation will look right at home on a new system. Modelling is becoming less important at the current Premium level - diminishing returns and all that - while the lighting and texture rendering is what matters, things PD have always been pretty great at.
I never did GT Academy this year so have no idea what you mean about that.
The car just struck me as notably precise and detailed in its movement in a way I certainly haven't seen. I remember that clip of the Bilstein R8 and Schulze Motorsport GT-R at the Nurburgring that floated around prior to GT6's release, and I think this is more advanced than that.
PS3 quality?!

I'm pretty sure its just using higher res textures...The initial scene of the Dunlop sign is DEFINITELY beyond PS3. As for the rest of the vid with the cars racing, I can't tell much because of the fast motion, but the treeline "looks" a bit more detailed. But, yeah, that opening scene is definitely NOT PS3.
I don't think so. Look at the trees and antenna tower in the background of beginning scene. If it's higher res texture then Le Sarthe is maybe a track designed to be next-gen (current gen) proof???I'm pretty sure its just using higher res textures...

It's either a test run on GT7s rendering engine. Or its just a normal high quality animation rendering.I'd like to link to this post by @Whistle Snap on NeoGAF...

...which is pretty much conclusive proof that the physical modelling is identical between the trailer and the same point on GT6's Le Mans course in-game. This means the assets at least are identical, regardless of whether the trailer is running in GT7's engine or not.
In my opinion, this looks almost too good for PS3 graphics. Might be PS4 (I know I know, it probably isn't. But hey, I like speculating.), might be PS3 with some added effects to it.

It says "is not game footage." So I think we can entirely discount the possibility that its the GT6 engine... the lighting is a lot more, accurate, in that version. Theres a lot less bloom too. Although I like the bloom, it simulates the blindness from facing the sun well.Looks like PS3 to me. The resolution is rather low though, but if you race at La Sarthe in the morning hours that's what it looks like.
The sounds are obviously added on later.

Thanks. That's actually a comparison I really wanted to see. The assets are definitely identical. Is there a way to see any differences to GT6's game engine from what's been released?I'd like to link to this post by @Whistle Snap on NeoGAF...

^^ Here comes the people complaining about the hype train.
Incredible! is an understatement! If they get it 1080P and 60FPS! GTPlanet will have a meltdown!Do you think this could be from GT7?

As i dont remember PD showing pictures of their cars that arent wether real or from their ingame engine!
IF this is how GT7 could look like its incredible!
