With the evidence that's been presented so far, it seems to imply that Gran Turismo has started moving away from the Playstation 3 and on towards the Playstation 4. That doesn't mean to say PD with stop updating GT6, as the two new VGT cars are bound to feature in the next update. Then again, I get the feeling that the VGT project will transition over to GT7, since more and more manufacturers are showing interest.

The Vision Gran Turismo project, above all else, is a stimulant for the internet. It captures the minds of people beyond just the Gran Turismo 6 players. Concept cars in general go a long way. Therefore, with GT7 on the way, now would be a logical time to make the transition in terms of marketing. It makes people think of Gran Turismo as a general franchise, rather than a specific game. The image is stronger in that way.

It's very interesting that these trailers and screenshots are hinting towards PS4 technology. Of course, it's mostly pre-rendered, but there is nonetheless a distinct difference between the previous VGT trailers and Bugatti's one.

I'm willing to bet that including the DS4 controller was done on purpose. If Sony is wanting Gran Turismo to step up its game, they are almost certainly considering us here on GTPlanet. It's just a way of keeping us speculating for the time being.

I wonder if they will show anything at Playstation Experience in December....

Well...I think it's CGI and GT6View attachment 446803

But it doesn't says GT6 and the guys at the trailer use a PS4, so I think the Bugatti is intended for GT7 but this trailer is purely GT6.

Hmmmmmmm.....

A PS4 in the Bugatti VGT reveal video and an obvious 3D rendered image of Le Sarthe that seems beyond PS3 stating that it's not in game footage. Also that wheel in the trailer looked like one of the PS4 wheels (not sure on that one though). Weird part is that the people in the trailer aren't even really playing the game so WHAT IS the point of having a PS4 and rendered images of Le Sarthe. Why not a PS3 and GT6 footage? Why even show a PS4 and rendered work? I can definitely say some of the footage in that trailer was NOT PS3 footage.

They should. They REEEEEEALY should.

Should I update OP and title about the interesting VGT Trailer showing ps4 stuff?

Edit: title updated.

...The DS4 thingy in the Bug VGT ad was a gaffe imo, nothing more to read from that. I'm absolutely not setting myself up for a big disappointment. No no.

Not trying to be a downer, but definitely nothing in Paris either. Not even a squeak of a GT related news in Tokyo has convinced me that PDI might hold another stand-alone "unveiling" event.

I can't find the part where Amar says he's wrong and was misinformed. Can you quote that please?
I think @GTPorsche missed the context of the message....

Amar said:
No, it was not.

I have nothing to do with all this mess.

I am officially retracting myself from this.

But that was just because a few of the people there said he leaked the information about GT Sport. This could still be a real game, but we don't know... In my research for a post on a different thread I learned that PD announced 'Gran Turismo for boys.' funny title, that's what wikipedia said anyways. That game was later annouced to have been included in GT:PSP. Maybe GTsport is a similar thing, except not announced. It is interesting to philosophize on whether or not GTSport is the name of GT7...

DS4 and G29 wheel in that video does not mean much sadly. The gfx looks like GT6 too. So nothing so far as yet.

Paris games show and PS experience are next. I think we can except something during these events :odd:

I wonder if PD found this thread. Kaz "Oh yeah, that looks like a good place for us to show our trailer."

There's also a PS4 in that trailer, not that it means much.

The GT Sports thing was never actually happening. Amar was wrong on that info and he later corrected that by saying he had been misinformed.

I read it as that perhaps he did something he should not have in mentioning the name "Gran Turismo Sport", and the fact Sancta Domenica picked it up for a preorder page was not supposed to happen either. As such, he retracted his involvement and has since disclosed no information at all regarding GT Sport or GT7.

This Buggati trailer reminds me on Vision Gran turismo trailer form 2005 when PS3 was presented for the first time... Back then PD basically used GT4 just upscaled to HD, increased grid size and add some action in pit lane... Same situation here better lighting and some minor updates...

Exactly this. I suspect they're using a similar approach here to basically "disguise" GT7 by using GT6's Le Mans course. It's the same stuff running in a new engine.

It's GT6, Jim, but not as we know it...
