I have to say I'm rather confused as to what many of the posts in this thread in the last couple of days have to do with trailers, videos and screenshots, but anyway, this one contains...

Footage of the Renault RS01 at Brands Hatch (for all those who keep commenting about the standard of driving in these vids, it's not me driving )

Ready steady go on a short clip of the Bugatti Vision GT (shame we didn't see the real car as it was packed away after the press event). You can't hear it here, but I can confirm the old beep, beep, beeeeep was present at the start of the races during the event.

And finally for tonight, here are all the colours which were available to drive for the Nissan GTR 2017 at the event (there may or may not be more colours in the final game of course).

More soon...

So yes, I'm still not seeing this as anything more than a coincidence. You have an exact hit rate of exactly 7 cars. I could probably do the same with the Forza and get a similar number of hits, they're all including similar popular cars. All of the slightly specialist models in Driveclub however are nowhere to be seen in GTS, nor are most of anything.

Then we have....

Anomalies

Alfa Romeo 4C '13 (GTS has the '15)
Aston Martin One-77 '10 (GTS has the '11)
Renault Megane RS 275 '15 (GTS has the base RS)
Volkswagen Golf GTI Mk VII '13 (GTS has the '14)
Audi TT RS Plus (GTS has the facelift, base RS '15)
Lotus Evora Sports Racer (GTS still has the base '09)
Nissan MY15 GTR R35 + GTR R35 Nismo (GTS has the '12 and the '16)
Chevrolet Corvette (C7) Z06 Supercharged Stingray '16 (GTS has the base '14)

Race cars

Mercedes AMG GT3 '16

If, as you claim, Sony had the rights to include these licensed cars in any game why did PD instead include slightly different models, requiring a new license? Or are you now going to make the ludicrous claim that Sony has the license for their games to any Megane model, any Evora, any year Golf and so on? Why don't they have the AMG GT3 Racecar?!!

Your claims, that Sony has a "universal" license and that any car included in Driveclub will also be included in GT because of that license is absolutely baseless. Show some actual evidence these licenses exist or admit you were just totally guessing yet presenting it as a fact.

Those are statements of fact. Back them up.

I think I have clearly shown that this was hogwash. Even at the time you posted this it was hogwash since "a lot" was actually two, the AMG and Veneno.
You missed a few, while fast sport cars, they are still seen on the road.

The Anomalies you mentioned, most of them are the same cars with perfomance changes, so those still count Samus, perfomance changes are different than appearance changes, they can be easily added in the game and not sure what happens in the licensing case with such small differences.
I'll assume 2 of the anomalies are quite different, which leaves us with approximately 13 Road Cars that were in DC aswell, out of how many US/EU Road Cars in GTS?

Evolution Studios closure does conflict my views on their licencing to this day since there was no real reason to close the studio, however, as i mentioned previously, GTS at first was considered to be GT7, since it's not, it's a spin-off that focuses on Race Cars, even if PD does have the legal ability to model these cars, they do not prioritize them since their focus is a different class of motosport.

To answer your question regarding the 2 GT3 Driveclub cars, quite simple, fan service, similar to the Nissans, they wouldn't have probably been included if the fans hadn't been so loud on almost every single post they (Evo Studios) published on social media websites, there are a few exceptions in DC, yes, but the focus remains EU/US Road cars, GTS focuses on Vision GT and Race Cars.

Just because they have the legal ability to include cars, doesn't mean they will right away, if you read my previous post I said they are coming to "GT", not mentioned GT Sport in particular.

Wouldn't be suprised if they replace older models with newer better perfomance-wise models for GTS though, it only makes sense to do so.

What did I miss? I listed all DC cars. So you are going to claim those cars can all be done on the same licence? I'm sorry but i don't think you actually know anything at all about car licencing and you've provided no evidence that anything you've stated is true.

You need to make your mind up, one second you're saying it's your view, then you're speaking factually again so please clarify. Do you or do you not actually know anything regarding licences of cars in Driveclub or are you just guessing? I have asked you several times to back up your factual statements and you continue to not do so.

Isn't there a wishlist thread for Sport? Or is that sort of combined with GT7? If not, there really needs to be one because I agree with sirjim. This is kind of derailing yet another thread with yet another off topic argument... just sayin'.

Anyway, I can't get enough of this stuff. Keep it coming as long as you can. :gtpflag:

You missed the whole point of the discussion, that's what you missed.
when someone sees GT as a single game and not a franchise, it's quite hard to discuss anything with that person, will stop going off topic and wasting my time now.

Do enlighten me, those questions I asked have nothing to do with my understanding a franchise. AS @GTPorsche said, you seem to be dodging once again. We knew GTS was online/E-Sports focused in October, you still posted:

so expect all those nice looking Driveclub cars in GT Sport.

as it includes a lot of the Driveclub cars, you can expect 90% if not 100% of the Driveclub cars in GT Sport.

You even acknowledged back then there would be a focus on racing cars, and were willing to lower your 90% prediction, not to 6% though I'd imagine.

As I previously mentioned, the decision what to put in the game is up to PD, they could have 90% of the cars, but seeing how GT Sport's focus is on racing cars, I would lower that percentage.

Finally the only reason I responded to this in the first place is because you yourself challenged us to do so.

Yes this is off topic but I only replied here because this is the thread you made the claims originally. I'm sure @SlipZtrEm and the rest of the mods will be interested to know you're making factual claims but aren't willing to provide evidence for them, against the AUP.

Thanks for posting this! I began driving aggressively after I realised it was a dog-eat-dog race... Then I got punted off the first corner. Watch the Australian flag whizz up and down the position chart.
I think you're the person to the right of me: Link to my post of couple more videos of that race

I managed to avoid contact I think and was quite smooth sailing rest of race for me once I overtaked person in first place. I was quite cautious with move to allow me chance to avoid contact but thought the other person might be even more cautious so it worked out as well as I'd hoped. Thankfully got lucky with starting position too. Relph overtake was most impressive on final lap to me if using ASM still and same tyres, given line going into corner he still got such good turn in and exit speed was quite incredible compared to car getting passed: Link

Yep, that's why I'm interested. @Shirrako has made outrageous claims, and instead of just admitting to them being no more than his own guesses and/or wishes when asked to expand, he's resorted to insulting other members and even staff. We've seen that exact same behaviour countless times over in the Ludicrous Claims thread, typically from members that ended up telling porkies.

So, @Shirrako, you can either produce some evidence of these claims - actual evidence, not circumstantial stuff – or you're falling foul of this part of the AUP:

You will not knowingly post any material that is false, misleading, or inaccurate.

You can even do it privately if you prefer, so that this thread can return to its regularly-scheduled program. But this isn't negotiable.

Nürburgring Nordschleife AI Race:

The way the lighting interacts with different textures and surface types has definitely benefited from the new hardware. Let's just hope there's not a massive drop in quality during gameplay. But Polyphony's usually been very good about maintaining a high LOD in-game.

"Fernando Alonso" sign on the steering wheel
Let me guess who gave to PD LaFerrari for scanning

I think that car is one of the test cars (used for reviews by magazines, etc), with one of them having "F-150" on the wheel, and the other "Fernando Alonso". Both are/were used as press cars I believe.

More Community Event content than you can throw a stick at...

Firstly, here is a short vid showing the driving options available in the build at the event, plus in the background @Tom murdering some people's names  in the callout for one of the event races:

And secondly, here is another gameplay video, this time of the Alfa 4C going round the Nordschleife. This also happens to be @scholesy1899 's first drive using a controller rather than a wheel for many a moon, so please excuse all the parking in the grass ;) - it goes give us a good close up look of the grass textures and deep green colour at the very start though... Downright gorgeous in my opinion!

More soon as Alan probably says in the video above
