That BRZ raced in Super GT GT300, not GT3. It was even in GT6:

He's probably thinking that because GT3 cars now race in GT300 that the Subaru is one as well. It isn't, it's still JAF-GT, but it is obviously comparable to GT3 in performance and should fit the fictional Gr.3 specs.

It should be able to go in a class with a car with no roof, a peugeot super car and a pseudo GT500 car, but it's not a GT3, which was my point. Even as it is, the WRX seems to be more suited for GT3, welded doors and everything.

GT500 is more comparable to GT3 than GT300. Atleast in GT6.

You do know that GT3 cars and GT300 are essentially the same, dont you?So your point is?

GT500 is comparable to DTM mate.GT3 are way too slow.In real life that is.GT6 may have other ideas but it is what it is.

That they're really not.
So the 488Gt3 Ferrari is a different car from the 488 in GT300 in your opinion? They only change some speqs depending where they are using the car:GT3 or GTE or Super GT300.And performance wise the Subabu GT300 is in par with the GT3 cars.Thats why they race against each other in Japan.

It looks to me the livery on that GR3 Subaru WRX is based on this:

True mate. They seem to created a car based on a Subaru wrx sti ( Sp3t class) that is way too slower than any Gt3 car in reality. One the other hand its a fictional car so reality has nothing to do with it.

The 488 GTE and 488 GT3 aren't the same machine, and nowhere did I say that GT3 cars stopped being GT3 cars in GT300, GT300 is a class that features both GT3 cars and JAF-GT300 spec cars racing against eachother. GT Sport's Group 3 is based upon actual GT3 class racing, which is a different specification from Super GT GT300.

I did not say they are exactly the same.I said essentially.Meaning same performance wise.GTE or GTLM are faster than GT3.Differences in aero package for example. And again why create a fictional car when you can simply add the GT300 model?Because in reality it is not the same? That same reality -logic dictates not to create something that looks like a Sp3t car and put it against Gt3 cars?Btw whats the differences between the Nissan GT3 Blackpain machine with the GT300 one?Because according to jrm group the Nissan Nismo GT3 machine won 2 different championships in 2015:the Blackpain Gt3 pro and the Super GT300.

Oh frick, I know why PD didn't model the C7R in place of the fictional GR3 Corvette now. It's because the C7R in real life is in the GTLM class while the GR3 cars in GTS are based on the FIA GT3 class.

Um, I was just talking about the livery on the car, not the car itself.

I know mate but they look a lot similar in body design too imo.

That WRX is not an SP3T car. you'd need to modify that BRZ to make it FIA GT3 spec (Which is what Gr3 is vaguely based on) in a similar way to the WRX, so might as well just use the new car anyway. just because it raced GT3 cars in GT300 doesn't mean its actually a GT3.

Come to think of it, GR.3 seems like its a rough mix of FIA GT and 24 Hour specials (which is kinda/sorta real) as opposed to a strictly GT3 class.

Are you talking about the WRX in the ring photo(real car)?Because that one is an Sp3t class car.And if you think that a fictional car is better than a real one,ok mate.Different opinions.

You'd need a technically fictional car if you wanted the BRZ in FIA GT3, just like the new WRX Group 3.

Nope .You only need to change some speqs in order to add the BZR in GT3 as it happens in real life when you make a GT3(GTd) or a GTE(Gtlm) car for example .But that WRX (in game car) is fictional. And if,for argument sake,is based on the Sp3t real car it is even more bad choice.

The WRX is not based on the SP3T car, it is based on the WRX and heavily modified, RWD converted, converted to two doors and everything. Its about as good a choice as a GT300 BRZ if not a better choice.

That Sp3t car is a non fictional WRX STI car mate based on the....WRX.But either way since you think that the fictional GT3 version of WRX is the best choice, fair enough. It does not make that big difference. If we were talking about a racing game with super realistic physics I would argue with you till release day.Now its just different opinions about adding cars in a fiction car class in GTs.I can live with either choice :)

Reading the real GT300/ SUPER GT300 and GT3 info states the following.
"GT300 class does include cars meeting GT3 Specifications. SLS GT3, for example
Alongside the BRZ GT300......

So while a GT300 "may" not fit the GT3 regs, the GT3 does fit the GT300 regs.

Hence why PD have made a Gr.3 CLass, which encompasses all.

I actually think that with the boom in GT3/300 class racing going on at the moment, that we will see many of the individual classifications come together again as a FIA GR.3 Specification.

ANd If i can have both a WRX and a BRZ GR3 in my Garage, Bloody Brilliant.

Subaru WRX gr3 with even more stickers. More stickers =>faster? (NFS underground logic)

Everything... just works on this car. Love the paint, love the styling and I would definitely enjoy flinging this thing around. The stock version doesn't have the same coolness to it.

This will go to my sig :D.

To me, the design doesn't attract me too much like the Evo, but without a doubt, it's one of the hottest subbies ever!! Only one thing it misses for me at least it's the tire side-trim or lettering. Looks weird without it. Same for all the others!! :ouch:

So the Subaru gr3 livery from GTSport comes from an actual livery : the one from Nurb 2016.

What I don't understand is : How does sponsoring works with Poly? We can see a Gran Turismo sticker on the door. I know it's not a GT3 car so Poly has to "buid" one. We have two Subaru (Nurb and Isle of Man) with GT sticker and we know they won't be in GTSport...

Gran Turismo sponsors the 24 Hours of Nurburgring and the Isle of Man as well as the Pikes Peak hillclimb. Just cause they have logos on them doesn't mean we will have them

@queleuleu - In the case of the N24, GT is the series sponsor, so every single car carries the name on its windshield banner. The sticker on the door though, or the IoM record car? No idea. My guess is GT is simply a minor sponsor of Subaru's motorsports endeavours right now. Much like the Baja truck recently spotted, or the Acura ILX race car, I don't take it to mean anything with regards to game inclusion.

Gran Turismo (or PD, or Sony, doesn't matter) is like any other sponsor: they give some money and get advertising sticker on the car, nothing more.
