Thank you @Lord Protector

Here is my channel. I have three streams...though they are all rough...it's my first time streaming! Some hilarious noon stream skills.

I did get the 8th overall BH quali time on the second. I'll be streaming more soon, and I do take requests for anything you guys would like to see.

Are you sure that is 10 ?

My perspective of Race 1 from last night at Nürburgring

Is that a replay or live footage?

For some reason it only struck me when I saw this video just how much of the screen is taken up with UI, timers, turn in points, name plates, and all the rest of it. One of the best things about the game is how great it looks, yet it's obscured with all this...tat.

If it's a replay I can sort of understand where Polyphony is going, they want to feed the viewer as much information as possible so they know what's going on. If it's live...just let people drive the car. I know it's a video game, but I'm not sure it needs to be quite that gamey.

Glad I'm not alone. I appreciate information, but so much real estate is dedicated to it in the HUD. Really hoping that's customizable in the end product.

It's one of my favourite things about Uncharted: the complete lack of info on screen when playing. I know that sort of hyper-minimalism isn't really an option for a racing game, but surely there's a middle ground.

One of the things that bothers me most is info right in the middle of the screen. FM6 has it for people who leave mid-race, and it always seems to pops up right when I'm looking ahead for braking zones or traffic. Drives me bonkers.

I thought I might share this video.

A couple of things caught my eye.
First, @RACECAR's 4wheel-steer nitro Megane. :D
And second, the text that pops up at the beginning of lap 3 regarding disqualification.
I can't say I've seen that message before, and wonder if anyone can elaborate.

Ouch, gets booted off track and gets a 16.6 second penalty for it. The text was implying since they had such a large penalty they were going to be disqualified entirely. In other instances for small penalties the player is required to slow the car (let off the accelerator) for the amount of penalty time. Usually something like 2-5 seconds for cutting a corner.

I am surprised the cars did not ghost for that instance. It would seem they are testing and updating their ghosting logic in this beta, as last week cars were ghosting even when they should not have.
EDIT: On second review, the impact was not terribly bad, it just happened to be perfectly timed when the backend of the car was very light transitioning into the downhill section.

Yes, I'm not sure how this system works.
It says "You will be disqualified", but then that timer was still counting down.
The clock doesn't seem to start until he re-enters the track, and as you say stops at about 16.6 seconds and the message disappears.
So hopefully someone participating in the beta has some more insight.

Live gameplay footage using PS4 Share.
While we in the beta cannot change the HUD (only display options are HDR on/off & Exposure), I'd imagine they'll have the option to change it up in the full game. I personally don't mind the HUD, but I agree it looks pretty cluttered.

Seriously hate seeing that with me. It bugs me to no end that I have no idea what is causing that and in the exact same fashion as it did with GT6 (and GT5), Happens with no other game.

Sorry mate, I didn't mean cause you grief. :guilty:
After reading your posts discussing it I thought you might be interested in seeing it from another cars perspective.
My apologies.

No need to apologize. Seeing from another angle, as much I hate it, was something I needed to see and it just further conforms its an issue only with me. Can't be mad at you for that.

Sounds pretty similar to me, PD only needs to make the engine sounds louder

Try playing them both at the same time.

Also I agree that they need to make the engine sounds louder to balance the whine but do you trust them to make the engine sound good in the first place?

I don't.

The intro before the race starts looks neat!
