Is the EU Beta different to the US one. I don't see any arcade racing all I can do is a qualifying lap and then wait for the daily race which I've yet to be able to join cause I'm not at home at that time and don't know if I ever will be. Plus all these scapes and in race pictures when I don't even have a way to get to photomode?

I'd post this in the Beta thread but it's a bit messy to say the least.

@m8h3r Seems you haven't read the game version updates, or here on GTP either for that matter. To bring you up to speed:
The Time Trial was removed to focus the beta on stresstesting the online servers. The amount of players overwhelmed the servers, and they crashed several times. A positive experience, to say the least. Even though it sucks the servers crashed and we couldn't race for a while, it's positive to know a lot of people are already playing. Imagine when the game releases! :)

And since it's a beta, why would you want a photomode?

Short answer - the beta got updated, it's the same one for everyone. No TT, just online.

If it means the rest looks like this

does it matter?

It looks bad. Cherry picking little replay parts won't change that. Does it matter? In a game that prides itself on its GRAPHICS above all else? If course it matters. This might not be fixed. It might be the cost of 60 FPS

Oh ok I see. I hadn't read that. Thank you 👍

In regard to photomode though how are people getting such nice photos from it?

From the menu, when you're idle the scapes and replays will cycle. :) Aaaand from replays from their qualifications. Just hit the share button to make screenshots. They've mastered it quite well

If corners are cut in parts that you will rarely see, then I don't think it matter to be honest.

I hate to be the one to say this, but you are aware that the PS4 can capture gameplay, right? You don't need to record your TV screen. 👍
I don't have a computer with software to edit my voice into the directly captured footage, but for all of the videos that are just the gameplay, without my voice, I use the direct capture.

Something interesting in this GIF

See how the fog lights sort of appear when the car gets close. Guessing it's the higher LOD when it approaches the camera. If that is the case, then this is a much better and subtler implementation than PCARS's jarring LOD switches.

Funny you post this the track atmosphere looks great here in my opinion you can see the man put his arms up in the crowd cheering. I just don't think the Nurb is bad as some others believe, it looks and feels really good.

I haven't played the beta but from what I've seen from Youtube videos, Nurburgring, Willow and Brands all look very very good.

I have noticed specifically that rendering of light sources seems to pop in/out. You can see here in the mirror the Mercedes lights pop when it gets far enough behind the player car.

If GT Sport looks bad then all racing games look bad.

Precisely. I mean ... I know, everybody criticizes everything , nobody wants to actually help and all of that, the reality of the internet I'd say, but, c'mon, if GT Sport looks bad, then I assume that everybody has a stroke, every single time, they see Project Cars.
