That will be 30 frames a second for you. :yuck:
Exactly. Playstation VR should get a locked 60 to output at 120hz . . . makes me think they have a buttery smooth 60fps GT7 . . . Yoshida sounds confident VR will be in GT7 and that it works well. I'd be all smiles with a locked 60fps! Havnt had that since that beauty GT4 !

Considering Forza 6 runs a locked 60 I think it's a safe bet, unless PD aim for PS5 graphics eye candy over performance again.

It probably doesn't mean anything but PD updated their website! It even has pictures!!

Looks like a nice place to work. :)

December - June

Then a release date reveal which will be Q4 2016, possibly delayed to Q1 2017.
That's what I've been saying since OP. :)

120 hz is 120fps... I think 60hz would be better for a locked 60hz game.

The thing is Forza has always run at stable 60 . . . I wish I could benchmark Forza 6 saying PD would get 60fps locked, but dont forget Forza 6 lacks real time day/night/ weather etc. Its just not as ambitious as what PD would want to accomplish.

With that said, PS4 is definitly the better hardware and PD can be wizards of code when they want to.
When I read Kaz say he wants to accomplish with GT7 what he couldnt do with PS3, I can say its a safe bet their going to prioritize a stable framerate this time around.

For perfect VR, it requires 120fps. or 120hz. Playstation VR uses similar tech to Gran Turismo PSP with its interlacing to convert a 60hz/60fps game into 120hz/120fps.
If Yoshida is confident PS VR works, it means PD has the game at 60fps. Thats what we will see on t.v.
PS VR however, would convert it to 120hz/120fps

As noted above, Morpheus converts 60 fps to 120 fps. You can read about it here:
http://ps4daily.com/2015/03/ps4-vr-headset-120-fps/

Oculus Rift runs at a native 90 fps, although it could utilize the same technology that Morpheus uses to double the frame rate, with cooperation from AMD and NVidia. I can't see why they wouldn't do this as it takes quite a bit of computing power to get to 90 fps on modern games, much less so to get to 60 fps with a given set of settings. The fps requirements are so high because at 60 fps it doesn't look as "real" as it does at higher frame rates and it helps overcome issues with "motion" sickness that some people have. A static screen for racing looks great at 60 fps but if you have a VR headset on and are glancing around or playing other games that require lots of looking left and right, you need that high frame rate so everything isn't quite so blurred when you have fast motion.

Considering that Sony wants to release VR in the first half of 2016, could it be safe to presume that GT7 will be a release game for VR now that Yoshida speaks so openly about it?

I have zero doubt that Sony will go full tilt on VR and GT will be one of the main elements in that campaign. I'm still thinking late 2016 but GT will be a perfect title to show off the capabilities of VR. The fixed cockpit view is something everyone can relate to because we've all been inside of a car.

...Hmm, with Course Maker Track Path Editor done and dusted, there's figuratively speaking nothing to stop PDI from announcing GT7 or whatever.

Since Paris is a bust, is it too soon to assume there's a chance of it being talked about at either Tokyo Motor Show or PSX?

Sorry for being offtopic but I just wanted to say that your GT6 video is the funniest thing I've ever seen. My eyes are still wet from laughing and I think I have a muscle strain! Genius!
