EDIT: a video recorded in the last days. A clean lap of the Nurburgring with the alfa 4C.

Very nice comparison video! I think the illumination of the speedometer in GT Sport isn't as it should be... It doesn't really glow it diffuses the light like other materials.

But except for this, the look of GT Sport and the behavior of materials (illumination, reflection, and surfaces) is awesome.

Graphics are definitely improved, but the sound seems strangely disconnected in GTS.

Probably because there is lack of wind noises in GTS third view cam from what I've heard from the video, while in GT6 the wind noises are more pronounced. Onboard otherwise sounds fine in GTS imo and I can hear the wind noises better on cockpit cam.

Sometimes penalties result in unexpected finishes:

Rewatching this now I'm not actually sure where Whistle got the penalty from, it may have been some contact early race that he just never fully cleared.

I hate when people block like that. I can't believe you race from that view. I love it but it's the most difficult for me

I like the interior cam for spatial awareness - from bumper cam I feel like I don't know how big/wide my car is, or how far my tail is kicking out. I do get blind spots at times (especially from the non-driver side), but for me it feels more natural. I know a lot of wheel users don't like seeing an extra in-game wheel, but I use a DS4 and that could be part of it.

It does feel more natural but it's so hard to tell the amount of space around the car such as if you're trying to make a three wide pass through the middle or if another car is coming up to pass you it's difficult to tell how close your car is to his and how much space is ther. But I do wish their was a feature for some races that made it mandatory to race from that view

I agree.Esports/competitive/serious online race should be locked in the cockpit view -in any game that wants to be called "sim",not just GTS-.

So there are zombies all over the place nowadays. Can racing and horror be combined in some ways? Could it be the next, or next after the next, thing in gaming? In Gran Turismo?!

A remake of I Am Legend ? The proof that more realistic graphics don't imply more fun. I know it's a beta but the track hasn't changed in terms of life since May 2016!

Yea,because a "hood" or "bumper" cam is so much more "sim"...

You are correct, they are as "sim" as cockpit camera. That is, not at all.
BUT, normal view or "bumper", has the most unobstructed view, which even though it's not "sim", is the closest to what you have sitting in a car.

Perhaps Driveclub's dashboard panel camera is the best compromise between "being in the car" and "(human) BEING in the car". Even then it's not "sim".

I still stand to what I've said.
Cockpit is the way to go (with options to adjust that camera) in serious racing. There is more in just what you "see" in racing. Its also about awareness for example.Even in real life, sport racing or every day driving, you have "blind" spots.
Thats my opinion mate.Others may not agree with that.....

In time trial cruising in GTScb's Tokyo with slow pace the feel was nothing short of apocalyptic.
Anyway I appreciate PoDi's decision to introduce the track for us in the end of the beta even if they left the life out of it. It's a track hard to master but quite a thrill in speed.
