In Iracing , even if the car pass over big bumps or kerbs, the pilot vision is stabilized and the car movee around his eyes. This is not very real but i agree that it help a lot to maintain a good driving line. In my opinion this is a necessary help that GT must follow. This actual lateral and longitudinal force G simulation in cockpit view is not good at all. This will not incentivize any GT player to adopt this view because it will not be the fastest way to go.I still stand to what I've said.
Cockpit is the way to go (with options to adjust that camera) in serious racing. There is more in just what you "see" in racing. Its also about awareness for example.Even in real life, sport racing or every day driving, you have "blind" spots.
Thats my opinion mate.Others may not agree with that.....
My last batch of races from the beta. This was from 2 a.m. It was fun while it lasted. Can't wait until the full game releases.
P.S. (I'm pretty sure I spelled "Hurrah" wrong)
Probably framerate issues, at least on the PS4 Pro in 1080p mode with the unlocked framerate. 'Cause on the pre-race menus, I notice some little framerate drops compared to the replay mode with the black bars. One weird thing about the black bars is that the replays are full screen when you're in the pre-race menu. So why does it have to revert to that.

Otherwise, I guess they're shooting for that cinematic look? *shrug*
PD are really making us wait for some rain gameplay. Figured I'd look at some GT5 rain gameplay to remind myself of where it was. Decided not to look at GT6 because I remember it being a downgrade compared to GT5. Still scratching my head about that, I'm guessing it was to control the AA.
One thing I appreciate about GT5's rain is that it captures the scary nature of driving in the rain - rain really impaired visibility and made it easy to lose track of cars that were ahead. Especially when the cars ahead produced massive trails of rain.
Can't wait to see what GT Sport has to offer - every sim coming out this year has had their rain gameplay reveal.
I found it a little weird at first, but I kept with it through the beta and it became my preferred view, even improved my lap times by a couple tenths in a few instances when compared to the bumper cam. I still wish you could enable an in-game rear view and side mirrors to help with visibility though. This actual lateral and longitudinal force G simulation in cockpit view is not good at all. This will not incentivize any GT player to adopt this view because it will not be the fastest way to go.
To this day Driveclub is still top notch for capturing the physics based water on windshield, at the time GT5 was impresive but all the drops were pixalated whereas in GT6 they were much better (just was not physics based) and only it did not give you the sense you were driving fast in the rain.In GT5, water reproduced on the windscreen is physics based, unlike pCARS for example (not sure about pCARS2), which shows once again how much more advanced GT5 was for its time (2010). I am hoping for something similar to this, along with those huge water sprays behind cars, but in higher quality.
Something about the way those wheels turn in that first GIF looks unnatural.
You may have not seen me just there.A three point turn never looked so good.
What in the actually heck this???You may have not seen me just there.
You have something against them for advertising a few success stories?Do they understand that the casual GT players like me don't care about GT Academy and eSport?
I wish all the GT Academy drivers the best career! Nothing against them and it's cool to see that the transition works. Though, instead of talking about GT Academy, what about the features, tracks, cars?... Like Forza did this week with the first official wave of car list.@queleuleu do you not even feel a little excitement when you hear about Gran Turismo players becoming real life racing drivers? I personally feel a sort of fellowship and am definitely proud for these guys.
Whenever I'm doing time trials and I see their times and others times above them or drive against their ghost car it's amazing! You just think, wow if they can become 2nd in Class at a real race and then you see all the other virtual drivers that are quicker, I am just in awe of them all.
I really can't understand how you can play Gran Turismo and not feel a little of that?
