I know that @Zlork but this is PD's best take at showing it in non HDR so far. Of course it's impossible to notice HDR or 4K on a 1080p SDR screen.
And its a bloody terrible take if you ask me.
Like SDR would make everything look like 15 years old tv. All greyed out. Grey layer over the left side of the picture is what that is. Nothing more. Its like those picture enhancement demos they make for tvs.
Yes there is difference in color and brightness - HDR is able to burn through bright areas. Im just not convinced i prefer burned over detail as reflections and glare look fine in gts without hdr.
Theres huge differences between sdr fhd tvs and as big differences between a calibrated sdr fhd tv and one before calibration.
The new Samsung QLED was just tested as "terrible" without calibration.
Im not so sure about 4k either. Just look at good quality bluray in a good fhd tv and show me we need 4k HDR..
