A game with 140 cars and 19 tracks when one of your direct competitors has over 700 cars and the other has 60 tracks, and people are surprised when others are perturbed at the thought of maybe having to pay for some extra photos to place your cars in so you can take more photos of them.

Didn't Kaz confirmed no micro transactions in GT Sport already?! They have been teasing 1000+ scapes for some time now and I expect them to be all included so I'm not sure I'd worry too much about this. That further locations can be added isn't a bad thing. Just like for tracks, cars or any other component PD still have to clear what their DLC policy will be.

And here we are with the current state of video game. I have nothing against DLCs, some are bad and some are simply amazing (The Witcher 3). But this is different, these scapes could be in the game at day one. I will wait before any judgement, don't be Ubisoft please.

It's about what's involved though. We know a car takes six months, a track a lot longer than that. How long does it take to take a bunch of photographs and implement them into the scapes system. I can't imagine it's anywhere close to a car or a track.

Less time for sure but it s a lot of money if you have to travel all around the world to take these pictures, they don't have free pass to have a trip. And don't you think you can't simply take a shoot behing a desk

That's a good point. However, if there are scapes from these countries in the vanilla game I'd be amazed if they didn't take all the photographs they needed on the original trip. And if they didn't it's yet more proof of the inefficient incompetence of the studio.

Micro transactions are not for content. They are for easy access for something you can also grind for (usually). If it says DLC you'll be paying for that (probably).

Maybe they want more, for the second trip they go on the other side of the country ? When you do a trip, you can't do all the location at once
And about photograph, it s about passion and patience, nothing to do with competence to grab a picture nor the studio behind, i m a photographer myself
I don't know how are the instruction to the photograph, but i don't think Kaz ask ' Hey i want you take this monument'' pointed on a book or website, and the photograph go grab this, on the contrary they have more freedom

I have to tell you, though, punctuation please. That goes for the lot of you. But, mostly you lol. I don't want to be singling you out.
 
Why can't scapes just be unlockable.

Imagine having to pay 50p each per scape.

I hope PD aren't pulling the revealed DLC before release method which cancerous publishers do.

This is essentially their deliberate strategy though, isn't it? Quality over quantity. I mean, the merits of that vs other games can be endlessly argued, but they're certainly doing it deliberately.

If the quality of their competitors work was lacking then that may be a decent strategy. It's not.

Well that's what I mean, we can debate the merits of it, but it is certainly deliberate. So the mocking of numbers and quantity makes little sense to me, is all.

And yeah, time will tell eh, I'm ok with the lack of content, with too much stuff you lose focus, but I see where you're coming from. It does look a bit empty content wise, compared to the competition...

Is this counted as off-topic?

I think Kaz will do the roadtrips himself and we have to pay for his 'work-vacations' :lol::lol::lol:
