Opening shot zooming out of huge 4K HDR rain drops... on screws on top of Suzuka ferris-wheel!
Sun breaking trough clouds shining in all rainbow colors on them...

:dopey:👍

edit:as one of the fixed weather settings

that would be lovely :)

It would be funny they announce dynamic weather and Day/night cycle the biggest surprise them all !!!

at least for Nurburgring and Sarthe, why not? Id sacrifice the pre-baked lighting. Having an option like we had in previous GTs would be best (choose between pre-baked lighting static time and static weather, or dynamic)

Yes!

Since such upgrades definitely will be only later added in via patches... would it be logical that first we get baked options, then one if them as dynamic... and with later patch another.

Or nothing until they optimize both?

Rain or no rain, we do at least know there will be raaceable foggy conditions. More of this needs to be seen on other circuits. This technology, and the stress on the system, will be very similar to the mist created by rainy conditions, and for that matter dust kicked up by cars or windy conditions.

I do not expect PD to go down the Forza 7 and PCars 2 route of thunderstorms and flooded tracks. In real life such races would be abandoned, for me it would be far more impressive to have steady rainfall and mist, with water kicked up by the cars and tyre trails on the wet tarmac.

Brands has so little 3D trees and so many criss-crosses (that produce an awful triangular shadow cascade). :(:(:(
Tokyo tunnel at night (3:11 timestamp) still looks odd to me. Between the light panels angles and distance, shadow intensity they produce and how evenly lit the asphalt is, it looks off.
Blue Moon blue buildings' glass coating too. It's probably correct but I don't like how its contrast looks even at midday light. Makes it seem like it's semi opaque, thick acrylics.
Dragon Trail is too dark there, but it appears the same as when the beta ended.

I thought general landscape design was in a "beta state" during beta, but guess not. I hoped for more consistency between track's quality given how well designed Nurb is (and Willow).
And that's it for nitpicking.

All those Bugatti VGT's scraping the floor though.:eek::eek:

It is indeed a massive shame that Brands Hatch has a little amount of 3D trees. It's actually the only 2D tree riddled track in the game as far as we've seen, and the reason is unknown. Not even the Nurburgring has a large number of visible 2D trees, if it even has them. Because I haven't noticed any 2D trees there. :odd:

Come on... Trees again? We had discuss this for ages... Also, does it actually have significant impact besides being a trackside details?

I don't forbid anyone here to discuss a same topic all over again, not at all. However, it just felt repetitive and dragging the whole thread discussions imo.

Accidentally posted in General thread, this is likely the latest gameplay footage :
Ok that's enough. Halfway through I remembered I wasn't going to watch anymore footage until the game is in my hands. Shame on you for tempting me!

That's exactly the part of the video that I dislike the most. Not only for the unreal madness but the abhorrent sound.
To be fair, those are downforce beasts on a short oval track. They don't belong there. PD are weird. Bring back the classics. WE WANT THE CLASSICS. WHEN DO WE WANT IT?! Now, please.

Dubbed engine sound in a video about sound ?

Is it about sound? Either way, these are marketing bits. If anyone cares about how they spend their money and what they pay for, they'll do a little research. Then they'll see the sounds are actually good now.

Like I've said before, I love these clips with Kaz in them. Dude's a starrrrrr.
