It’s great that we’re getting more real world circuits in the game, but you think they would have put a track that was useful for higher class racecars in the Gr.2 update. It doesn’t make any sense adding a track that’s not very great for the type of racing that was just added.

Daily Race B: Red Bull X2015 Jr. at Tsukuba 10 Laps Total Race Time: 3:00 mins

What doesn't make sense? Seriously, you would think they would add a track that could be put into rotation for all the daily races that would accommodate all cars. Considering the paltry number in use currently. I'd imagine we will see a N200 Race C on Tsukuba at some point though.

I'm actually looking forward to the Red Bull cars though. They were really fun to drive in the previous games, like an F1 on steroids. And speaking of previous games, GTS is shaping up to mirror them with the inclusion of more GT-Rs. But do we really need another Mustang? Come on PD show my beloved Chevys some love. I want a Camaro ZL1 in the next update. And while you at it bring back Big Red. I wouldn't mind Cadillac being added to the lineup also. They could include the CTS-V and the LMP1 that is being used in IMSA.

Or maybe that will be later in the month.
That's how I see it. According to the PR on the official website: "You will be able to experience its performance very soon, so please look forward to the April update of Gran Turismo Sport". Unless the April update they're talking about is the same one that will be released on April 9th.
I'm happy to see a new track. I am curious to see what times of day/weather it will have. There was never a night version correct? Only a wet one?

Would like to see a weather update in the near future as noted last year.

Me too, but for the moment I'm fine with cloudy weather (usually my choice as I think the game looks better that way).

Well, PD just dropped real life track this month. Next cycle would be alternative layouts I think. By the way, we still don't know yet if the Audi VGT and GR Supra will be included in monthly update roster or separated as an exclusive launch. It says 9th April for Audi, but it could be just the public reveal date and it might not come in GTS the exact date. Like Zagato VGT for instance. If so, what do you guys think then?

I think It will be released on that day, since they said "..coming to Gran Turismo Sport on April 9th".

I like how the game makes an effort to revive the JDM spirit of the very first GT game. Now we only need the NSX-R, GTO Twin Turbo and perhaps some Silvia K's. Oh, and the classic original circuits too, but it's great to see Tsukuba back.

But it completely destroys the immersion when you can increase the power to insane levels without even adding any aftermarket parts. I can understand cars can be flashed tuned but thats only an extra 30kw to the wheels.

There should have been performance parts added with every level you increase. The R34 gtr can be made to have over 900hp in gt sport and thats still with the stock exhaust lol. The only difference I can hear the spool of the turbo is noticeably louder.

The addition of GT500 cars were noticed by official Super GT account, which means there is chance to add existing or newer model like the good looking LC GT500 or perhaps mother chassis GT300 cars (86/BRZ, Prius, Evora, etc) in my opinion. I hope so... :

I kind of worried if GT500 might not come in GTS since Sega also did have a license for Super GT and they just released their new "Sega World Drivers Championship" arcade in Japan last month. But now I'm glad they make it into the game :D.

is that a denim chair?

Maybe, just maybe, Gr.A will come in the future. Even though Gr.B is more of a modern take on that rally era, there's the S1 among them.

The Calsonic R32 could make a showing. It could lead to the AMG 190E DTM being in that class. That's a class I see developing.

Damn, a new category (Gr.2). About time Super GT cars came into the fray. That said, will we be getting older GT500 cars as well? And perhaps GT300 cars slotted into the Gr.3 category? That would be something to look forward to.

That BMW M3 though, huge megaton for the community (I think its entry in the Suggested Cars page can be crossed out now  ). Can't wait to see what all the hype is about once I get to drive it.

Honestly, at this point I have faith that PD can do just that. I mean they made a new category for the GT500 cars out of nowhere.

Glad to see Tsukuba is added to GTS. Very disappointed to see no new track layouts at Dragon Trail though.

Question, how is it actually pronounced? The T is silent, correct?
According to a great You-Tuber Noriyarõ 'aka' Alexi, he's living in Japan, and is a Drift god. He, and Japanese guys pronounce it 'Skuba' Skuba Circuit (Tsukuba Circuit). He can also be found on Twitch:cheers:

I don't get all the Tsukuba hate, Yes its a small track but it has a nice flow to it in my opinion, Its also a good place for tuning since its a small track and you can set your base times quickly to then further tune to perfection, Plus its also a good track for those who prefer to drive looking sideways.

Regarding Gr. A there is two possiblities whether it is Group A track racing or Group A rallying. Since Gr. B in GTS indicating rally class I guess Gr.A will likely be the same. Would be nice to see modern take of it or perhaps iconic car from that era. I also remember PD already modeled Celica GT-Four rally car and Subaru 22B close to premium quality in GTHD but then it was gone in GT5. Would be nice if to see them returning with even better quality model.

Gr.A will be the Gr.4 for rally cars, in the same way Gr.B is Gr.3 for rally cars.

The final ones in 1992 had 380ish hp but I‘d say that was just qualifying spec lasting two laps before blowing up :D
There were two Group A versions of the M3, the 2.5l (380bhp) and a 2.0l (300bhp).

The 2.5l M3's competed in DTM, ATCC and JTCC for overall wins (against R32's, RS500's and 190's). The 2.0l car was in, amongst other series, the BTCC. Here they went for class wins alongside the Vauxhall Cavalier. It was basically the basis for the Class 2 Super Touring regulations of the 90's.

It's a weird one. I put RH tyres on the S-FR Concept Racer and run it in Gr.4. The car is the perfect fit for that category.

If I fit RH tyres to the M3 and if the suspension has good tuneability, lap times will be interesting to compare with a Gr.4 car.

I'm. This car, designed by Adrian Newey, remains the most beautiful prototype I've ever seen in my life. I already have Liveries prepared for it. ;)

If you do the X2010 livery i will be you're #1 fans, with Bridgestone stickers on the front wheel, the " S. VETTEL " stickers on the side of the car.

Bring me back to the old times.

Was looking at the wrong results and WEC seems to use a different layout of the Fuji track than Super GT as the fastest LMP2 set a 1:45 in the race while a (GT300) M6 GT3 had a fastest lap of 1:40.
Edit 2: The Asian Le Mans Series is using the same layout than Super GT (can be seen at the GT3 times). Difference between Super GT and LMP2 lap times is about 2,5 seconds on 1 1/2 min lap times (GT500 being quicker). So, a bit of BoP tinkering could maybe put LMP2 and Super GT together in Gr. 2.
Last years Fuji WEC round was wet. LMP1 and GTE-Pro would have been a second or more quicker than their 2016 times if it was dry. LMP2 would have been 3 seconds or more quicker as they ran new generation cars (extra 150bhp and better aero).

2016 Poles

LMP1 1.23
LMP2 1.31
GTE-Pro 1.37

So you can see the latest LMP2's and GT500 are almost perfectly matched.

This may sound stupid, but I honestly LOVE PDs approach to adding new cars and tracks on a monthly basis. I think if we were just given 50 tracks to begin with, I wouldn't have had enough time to race all of them, nevermind get good at any of them. With getting new tracks/layouts, it adds excitement to my month. I sure hope it continues into the future. I honestly do expect the content to keep coming. The way I see it is that any new tracks and cars that they are currently making could easily be imported into the next GT game, which they are already working on.
