My two Cents on this update:

Cars:
I like most of the additions, especially the introduction of Super GT cars. Both Red Bull cars are also nice. I didn't need most of the serial cars tbh.

Track:
Disappointing. I'm not a big fan of Tsukuba and it's a really short track. There are far more important tracks like Spa, Silverstone and Le Mans which are still not in the game. Or how about Fuji and Motegi? They fit better with the new Gr. 2 class.
But perhaps we see another new track in April though it is unlikely.
December 17: New layouts for Kyoto Driving Park
January 18: Monza
February: New layouts for Blue Moon Bay
March: Tsukuba Circuit

Following this pattern we will get new layouts for an existing track in April but who knows? Maybe both? Maybe nothing? ^^

Nice that time trial has been added for VR but this still needs a lot more in terms of options (race length, AI difficulty) and more players as well as online races in VR.

I'm also hoping that they also make some modes available while being offline (Brand Central e.g.) and a shortkey to deactivate/activate the HUD while racing. It sucks to go into the menu for this. I would mostly drive without HUD but in and endurance race I need information about my tires and fuel consumption. A shortkey like pressing the left or right button on the d-pad would be awesome, just like Evolution Studios did with DRIVECLUB. Some new camera options (shaking for hood and cockpit cam), dynamic weather system, more settings for time of day (I miss a night time for the Nurburgring and one for 4 or 5 AM when it's dawning).

And last but not least: They used Piers Baron's "As our witness" in two trailers. Why is this nice song not in the game?

Overall I'm pleased that PD continues to update this game at a regular pace. This isn't something you can say about GT5.

Super GT is a bit faster afaik
Deleted
Was looking at the wrong results and WEC seems to use a different layout of the Fuji track than Super GT as the fastest LMP2 set a 1:45 in the race while a (GT300) M6 GT3 had a fastest lap of 1:40.
Edit 2: The Asian Le Mans Series is using the same layout than Super GT (can be seen at the GT3 times). Difference between Super GT and LMP2 lap times is about 2,5 seconds on 1 1/2 min lap times (GT500 being quicker). So, a bit of BoP tinkering could maybe put LMP2 and Super GT together in Gr. 2.

The amount of Visible polygons is crazy, this looks like GT5 ..

Are you planning to look at all the interior bits or the road when racing? I mean, does it bother you this much?

Just read they added Fanatec Support. Finally, now I can stop seeing the damn posts about the lack of it in the Undocumented Changes threads.

And now I sound like Mike Tyson trying to say it.

Now try singing the main chorus of "Hotline Bling" like that. You're welcome :D

What I'd rather drive than "around Tsukuba":

* In London
* In Belgium
* The car from "The Fog"
* A 1997 Vauxhall Corsa with one missing front wheel
* Off a cliff
* A rusty, blunt nail in such a fashion that it attaches my testes to each other

So basically, places you'd rather be. Speaking of which, you think you can convince a sanctioning body to move an entire event just for you?

Now it's safe to assume that we will receive new track every two month. January Monza, March Tskuba... :)

We can only hope, but I am interested to see how the next update will be handled. The Supra Racing Concept and Audi VGT are imminent to be added to the game and PD has momentum and consistency in terms of updates being released at the moment. Cautiously optimistic, but hopeful

Not enough proof to back that up, but I really hope they speed it up - too many circuits not included in the game to start with.

Also you forgot Blue Moon Bay infield, and the variations to Maggiorre. Granted those aren't "new tracks"
I said new track/location not variations from track already in game.

Tsukuba Circuit is the new track, was it really worth it as its only 1.2 miles long, at least give us a track that's worth racing on.
You got to be joking right!

Oh boy oh boy oh boy we can finally recreate those 90's JDM races on Tsukuba!!!!!! :drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool:
Not really, we are still missing 1'st gen NSX, 90's subee's and EVO's.:banghead:

I'm 100% sure PD has a LOD level problem. Many times the detail you see on the screen is lower than in the last two games.

Arrrrggghhh... Nice to have an update with new material... but out of all the Mustang choices we get this??? :confused:

I'm sorry but it's fugly as all heck imho, and yes I might be alone on that view point but with other models like the one below this pic (GT500) being available why not go for the epic, iconic Mustangs of yore, Maybe you can't tell but I'm a big Mustang fan and was properly pumped when seeing the silhouette in the preview. to get this is a bit of a bummer... at least there's the M3...:bowdown:

Phew... that feels better... :):lol:

Totally agree! When I saw it was a mustang I initially thought it was the Shelby GT350 from GT6. Then someone pointed me to this and to my horror the chopped roof matched!

Still disappointing I cant install aftermarket performance parts on the jdm cars, yet we can increase the power to 900hp and the car still has the stock exhaust sound...

Kind of ruins the immersion dont you think?

How many hours before the update is up?

Dunno but I'm in the Pacific time zone (UTC-7) and the updates are usually available at least as early as midnight for me. Though I am unable to see just how early I can get them.
