I'm late to the party. One thing I'll say to this, are the wheels we change. There is no performance advantage to fitting a lighter wheel or heavier wheel, in this game. Then, what's the point in being able to change them?

Now, about that red and white object, with the black things on the side. Could be this:

There was/is no point since the start (GT2) however theres was/is for thr rest of the aero parts & if we take that away just because it would be a major step back.

There's been a step back with content. It's also a next chapter in the series. They've already taken away the aero parts. Power and weight options is pretty much available for BOP. Not so, much for most players, to tinker with set ups.
We'll see if there are any aero parts to come.

The bridge does not seem to match the original layout of the map, and it seems to be too long compared to this:

In the beginning it does look a bit convincing given the mountains in the background just before reaching the tunnel to the bridge going into reverse:

But as we approach the bridge this is where things start to get weird.

The layout itself looks out of place given even if they have removed the orginal tunnel's (which happens to be two mountain connected as the river splits the land):

Compare that with the picture you have shown and you can see something is way off.

But I could also be wrong and they completely revised the way the bridge connects the land (but why remove the mountains/tunnels since it has always been there since GT1?)

Kaz Quote “The problem that we had with some of the older tracks from previous Gran Turismo games was the scale being off in certain places. The size of the trees are very large, or the width of the curbstones, etc. There were curbstones that were wider than cars
If we want to bring that into the quality of GT Sport now, there is a lot that we have to redesign, and it is not that easy.”

So I just watched footage on someone doing a lap on Circuit de la Sierra...

What a horrible track. It had no flow and it is way too long. There were several instances where the car jumped high off the ground due to the the roughness off the track. The user crashed because of this at one point.

Yea, that'll go well in sport mode. JK, it wont ever be a sport mode race because they hardly use N24, so I doubt they'll use a track even longer.

I most certainly hope that track is not coming to GTS.

It could be anything at this point.

Yep, the replies are hilarious, and only some intentionally so....

IMHO, it's more likely to be a box lorry [truck] with a white cab and red box [see color incorrect version below].... but it's just a pixellated blob, so my guess is as good [or bad] as anyone elses..

Rational for lorry: the size of this vehicle - relative to normal cars - is why the is visible in the footage, and not any other [even though there is likely to be multiple vehicles on the bridge when this footage was captured].

Rational for camera footage [not rendering]:
Beoynd the sheer detail in the scene, if you look very closely at the video and /or still frames - see image below - you can see there's another vehicle [same size and colours] near the top left of the frame, traveling in the same direction and speed, but way above the bridge. My hypothesis is that this is an internal reflection between the camera lens and lens cover of the drone or helicopter cam. The reason only the red-white colors are reflected are due to their relative brightness and contrast compared to the remainder of the bridge details...

Gaming, especially racing, is SUPERSERIOUS.
Racing is serious mature stuff

La Sierra wasn't made for racing,it's just a cool Time Attack circuit,it was cool because of the time attack aspect, brought back the nostalgia of the arcade days

Sierra is like an old school rallycross, you're supposed to use a vintage, slow but lively handling car. Kind of like the '84 Ferrari they give you.

You're not supposed to approach it like a race track, or treat it like one. And the track is far too long to be treated like a conventional time trial where you learn every single curve.

Real life doesn’t look that bad either.... it’s definitely computer generated.

CG?Because i'm having a hard time believing that's GT Sport footage

If it's in game PD did a great job because for me it looks like real life(saw the teaser on 1080p)

Its (probably, almost definitely) not game engine footage and its absolutely not real video footage. Look at the flickering of the water where the reflected mountain meets the reflected sky; it clearly aliasing where the render engine couldn't decide which pixel should be what colour and there wasn't enough pixels in between to effectively anti-alias it.

What it appears to be is a 3D render using the ultra-high quality assets that they use for intro/teaser videos, like this:

Fun fact: For every car and track we see in the game PD has ultra-high poly models and ultra high resolution textures, so they can make the above kind of teaser/trailer. Yes, every car and track really is that detailed but has to be massively reduced (in poly count and texture resolution) for the Playstation to handle. Trust me, PD aren't faffing around making two independent versions of everything; They make the ultra-high quality models and we get the reduced poly/texture versions in the game engine. What really irks me is that, with the quality of those models, imagine what GT could look like if PD made a PC version. On a powerful enough PC we could practically play a game that looks like the freakin' intro/teaser videos. Imagine playing GT that looks like the intro/teaser videos!!! Forget new tracks, that is my ultimate GT wish; a PC version. I know, I know... hell will freeze over first!:lol:

Well at this stage it is impossible to conclude which track is being shown. So let's just evaluate the presentation instead. PD hasn't done this for any other track that's come to GT Sport, which leads to me to suspect that this track is somewhat significant. I fail to understand why a brand-new track to the franchise will be shown in this way - I want to rule that out BUT there isn't enough evidence to do so. As for a new layout of an existing track, I can't really see how that would happen. The scenery doesn't match up. There's another thing : the other side of the bridge (on the left of screen) has pretty much been rendered invisible due to the fade-in. I think this was intentional so that we aren't able to recognise the track as Grand Valley; or any other for that matter. I tried to fiddle around with a screenshot I had in an attempt to seek out a corner that went right - no such luck. Take that as you will.

What really irks me is that, with the quality of those models, imagine what GT could look like if PD made a PC version.:lol:

That's the issue with every console exclusive,"imagine what God of War would look like on a high end PC".About the high quality models for trailers,it must be the "future proofing" PD talked about, they are saving those high quality assets for the PS5,everything in GT Sport will be in the next GT.
