Bathurst is a Motor Racing Circuit.
It's a public road with speed limits for all except race weekends and was a public road before it was used as a race circuit ;)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mount_Panorama_Circuit

As a public road, on non-race days and when it is not closed off during the day as part of a racing event, Mount Panorama is open to the public. Cars can drive in both directions around the circuit for no charge. However, a strict speed limit of 60 km/h (37 mph) is enforced, and police regularly patrol the circuit.

What that other guy was showing in another post was a very amateur time rally/road race, the cars were nowhere near the same in performance.
Yes they are. You mentioned road cars. Those are road cars. Some have roll cages for safety in those sporting events. Some are road cars with stickers. The same as in GT Sport.

I posted those videos of road and race cars, on a road course. Your dislike of a Road Course as part of PD's part of "Sport". There were also posts of race cars on road courses(Macau, Monaco, etc.). I just gave examples of a couple motorSports on road courses.

How would modern f1 cars handle brands hatch?
Could they even go 2 wide?
I'm not familiar with the real like track, but isn't it extremely bumpy and very requires tons of use of the kerbs?
iirc, Brands Hatch was the British GP in F1 for a long time before moving to Silverstone. There's bumpier tracks on the calendar than Brands that's for sure, and F1 is at a level where they can take alternstive lines not using kerbs and just be as fast

But I think safety-wise Brands Hatch is more suited for slower cars than F1 at this point, given how fast F1 is now. There's some parts of the track where drivers can go 2-wide, but not enough to be a spectacle. That's my 2 cents for this

I’m not sure what age has to do with how good a game is but by all means carry on

Younger gamers think graphics over game play is just amazing and 'best game ever 111". More seasoned players who actually prefer, you know, a decent game to play, would not be so easily won by such arcade-like drivel.

Thankyou for your permission to carry on. I wasn't aware you were in control of the internet.

Can you give me permission to search for other terrible, I mean amazing games like Driveclub on google?

Thanks in advance.

It's down to personal taste though. There's a reason why arcade racing games are more popular than sims across all ages ;)

You know, if you didn’t jump to conclusions and assume I only like DC because of the graphics, things would be a lot nicer.

Again, sarcasm. I was being sarcastic when I said you were being factually incorrect, but it’s cool that you weren’t able to look through that.

Also, “arcade-like drivel”? Great joke! I love it.

Oh, and I’m pretty sure I don’t control the internet. Sorry that you’re mad

Nobody's mad here, but maybe you keep assuming such due to some substantial personal unhappiness? This radiates through your posts through to more than one user here.

'You mad bro' is sooo yesterday. I'd probably learn some more grown up comebacks if you'd like to have a turn at adult conversation/trying to troll but failing hard.

Driveclub is and was rubbish in my opinion and many of my friends.

Deal with it.

/back on topic... Any more information come out today about the update?

Oh look another elitist who thinks Driveclub is bad because its muh arcade.

I enjoyed driveclub very much because in the past I played lots of Test Drive, Classic Era NFs and PGR. Driveclub was a mix of all of them hence why I see it as a gem compared to other arcade racers where its customisation, nitrous and drifiting around corners or power ups.

Nah, pretty happy here.

I’m not trying to troll? And if I really wanted to have an adult conversation, I would. I’m on a forum about Gran Turismo and other racing games. I didn’t know I was in an English lesson.

You do know I don’t have a problem with you (or anyone, really) disliking Driveclub, right? The initial comment I made was sarcastic.

Good for you. I still think it's rubbish and aimed at kids. But whatever.

"If i wanted to have an adult conversation I would". Says it all really.

I really like that this is worded in a way that makes me out like I’m in the wrong because someone else wasn’t able to read sarcasm over the internet.

How could a game THAT graphically beautiful... be such a steaming pile of feaces? :odd:

Can you give me permission to search for other terrible, I mean amazing games like Driveclub on google?

Now now children, play nice, BTW I control the internet. JK :D I came here to read people's opinions on the update and ran into a Driveclub debate. I really don't understand why people get into such petty arguments on these forums, but whatever.

I did see some mentions about courses and time trials. GT6 gave us the Goodwood Hillclimb which I found a nice challenge and change of pace. I also heard rumors that PD had the Pikes Peak license. So it could be feasible that we might see a Time Trial in GTS future. After all we have the rally tracks that are only used in arcade mode and license tests. And we have the Audi Quattro Pikes Peak and the rest of the GrB cars. Although I would like to see more tracks that could be used in the daily races first.

Hmmmm... no teaser today. That's OK, I guess.

:guilty:

Where are they going with this damn track, GTP?

They haven't given us teasers every 24 hours, the second one came out a few days after the first. I'm surprised #2 and #3 came out so close together, but I'd imagine it'll probably be something more like ~two, maybe three per week. There's only so much you can tease before you've shown everything.

I hope you guys realize that pointing fingers at each other and resorting to flamewars does nothing but give yourselves a negative impression to the community.

Just my two cents.
