Funny how we perceive Kei cars like the Beat, Copen and S660 as being small. They are but don't match the size of another "Kei" we got earlier.

The 500 has a smaller (hence the name) and even less powerful engine. The 500 was 325 mm shorter than the Honda Beat yet, is able to carry two more people and luggage.

The 500 also only weighs 499 Kilos where as the Beat weighs in at a hefty 760 Kilos.
Dante Giacosa knew what he was doing by maximizing interior room when designing his little car.

I define them as small because of their HP and not size and that's why I throw the VW Bus into the same category. Again that's just me and the way I perceive things.

It's at an odd time though. 5:30pm - 7:00pm EST is basically dinner time for a lot of people. For me at least we plan to eat around 6:30 every night

The unfortunate part of setting up a recurring lobby event is that one can't really accommodate everyone's schedule. You've got time zones and unique personal schedules to consider. Ultimately, though, those are the best times for me because that's when I'm normally playing the game. I've offered both weeknight and weekend morning sessions in an attempt to branch out. Unfortunately, those times still aren't going to suit a lot of people.

This '63 250 GTO went up for auction in June and sold for a world record $70 Million. I hope PD doesn't jack up the price because of that. :scared:

I have seen that particular car a few times irl when it was owned by some german family as their mechanic has his workshop in my city :dopey: such an awesome car

It's all those pesky safety regulations that bloat the cars leaving no room for extras :banghead::banghead::banghead:

You're right. But sometimes it's for the better good i guess...

I've seen this video numerous times. It is incredible what 50 years of safety can do.

I'm glad I wasn't around to drive back then!

Can the Formula car be the Renault RS18? Because PD has a great relationship with the Renault-Nissan Alliance. Or the Renault F1 cars are exclusive to the Forza Motorsport franchise because of the RS17 they have?

Can someone explain this “certain amount of F1 cars on other games” apart from the official F1 game by codies?

Is that a legit thing where Liberty are only allowing certain teams to have their cars in other games? Forza, AC, iRacing & The Crew 2 have F1 cars does that mean licences are available outside Codies F1 game?

I mean, i am not saying no to the clearly W08, but if there’s a deal in place then surely a PD Formula Gran Turismo would be a safer option?

IIRC, games outside of the F1 titles can't feature multiple cars from the same year (in the modern era) racing against one another on a track. I'm probably missing some aspect of that, but that's the gist. The teams can license their single cars out to devs.

There's no "safe" about it, though; a dev would get in all sorts of trouble if it ever included a modern F1 car without jumping through the (probably myriad) licensing hoops. If the upcoming open-wheeler is a Merc, I'm 100% sure PD has all its ducks in order to include it.

It's on a team by team basis outside of the Formula One Management license. Only Codemasters has the rights to set up a game that features the F1 grid and resembles the actual championship.

Any other game that includes an F1 car can only include 1 per season.

How exactly? The shapes don't even match up. The car being teased is clearly shorter.

I'm not sure which is the more horrifying; this, or how Kimi Raikkonen looks in the more recent Codemasters F1 games.

Wait, they've actually managed to make him look worse?

Codemasters was the reason why we lost two Ferrari F1 cars.

Its either CM or the FOM that chuck a fit at GT for featuring some Ferrari F1 cars.

It was more so FOM as they were at the time the rights holders for F1.

However (at least the last time I checked), Codemasters having the exclusive F1 license doesn't stop F1 cars from being in other games (as long as its only 1 current car of the time). Its the Rights holder (which is now Liberty Media) that decide whether another game can have a F1 car.

So in other words there’s a chance because of AC / Forza & Crew 2 that the W08 might not be allowed in because those 3 games having 2017 cars? Just so I know mate, just want to clear about it is all.

*Edit*

Or am I being a donut, either way it’s great to see a single seater in the game. Oh hey LMSCorvette! Remember me? The guy who saw a single seater on the bridge? Oh hi ;)

It's not a death trap as your latest post mentions. If you actually see some of the flaws in that test and read up on it, you'd possibly see the flaws in your comparison.

Kei cars :banghead: couldn't care any less about those things. Happy to see the 787B, 250GTO, and a Ford GT of some sort however. And the modern F1 car, too, even though it's a Merc :P

I'm still holding out hope that they'll tweak the daily roulette wheel and allow for duplicate prize cars to be sold. And since the game is online play-and-share heavy, why not allow for players to sell/trade cars with one another under the Discover section? You'd list a car, not unlike a shared photo or livery, and the transaction would be as smooth as adding something to your collection (only credits get deducted).

Yay, time to do the obligatory guesswork! :gtpflag:

Top row: Daihatsu Copen and the Ford GT LM from the GT4 coverart
Mid row: Honda Beat, Mercedes-AMG F1 W05, Honda S660
Bottom row: Mazda 787B and Ferrari 250GTO

Am afraid that Ferrari will be another 20.000.000 car :ill:
