Think I'm able to go definitive on this one:

- Teams are permitted to licence their current car to ONE game outside the main FOM licence.

- Current can be defined as a car raced in the previous 12 months, i.e. the last season and the current season.

- Non FOM licensed games may contain ONE contemporary car.

- UGC permissions around that car are entirely up to the team.

My understanding is that:

- The lack of the F1 Ferraris in GT6 was related to Ferrari's relationship with Kunos.

- The restriction with the F1 Ferraris re where and how they could be used was a Ferrari thing, not a FOM thing.

Recent history of F1 cars in non Officially Licensed FOM games:

Gran Turismo 5 Prologue (2007) = Ferrari F2007 (2017)
Gran Turismo 5 (2011) = Ferrari F10 (2010)
Real Racing 3 DLC (2014) = Ferrari F14T (2014)
Forza Motorsport 6 (2015) = Lotus E23 (2015)
Assetto Corsa DLC (2017) = Ferrari SF70H (2017)
Assetto has also the SF-15T, The Crew 2 the RB13 and iRacing the MP4-30 and the FW31

Not the car that everyone thinks and to be fair to them, they're most likely right, that is not the car. The high nose regs ended in 2013 and the car you pointed out is a W04 which is from 2013.

I think F1FOUAD is talking about the car that is almost out of shot.

Great I know what car I'm getting next then. Guaranteed copen.
I just bought all the N100 cars and the Daihatsu RJVGT(146hp, is the limit for N100 classification), to do a TT comparison at Tsukuba(the game won't allow MULTI-CLASS racing, using the VGT).

Swift Sport- 16,300
MX-5- 24,950
S-FR- 30,000
Sambabus- 75,000
500F- 21,000

Bare in mind, when using an N100 car for ARCADE Races, N200 cars are used in that grouping.
Just as a reference, the oldest N200, is the FD RX-7 @24,800 Cr.

The Copen went for 15,000, in GT6. Honda Beat, 13,800.
The Fiat 500F, in GT6, was a hair under its current 21k Cr.

Maybe we see all three Kei cars in that 20-25k range. I'd be surprised, happily surprised, if the kei cars are under that 21k figure.

or maybe is this one

752e1c5b.png

There is no rear wing tho.

Sometimes its not what we see, but rather what we dont see.

One can clearly see how the reflection on the ducktail is cut out where the rear spoiler leg and spoilers edge plate are. :odd::cheers:

When Forza 7 came out it the Renault of that year was on it no? So that makes sense.

I think it’s a FGT car, based on the W08. Like the FT1500 that’s based on the Senna Lotus?

Here's your statement:

That's definitely true, if you think that over a quarter of the tracks in the game by your criteria count as "we don't have"

See, "everything the game has" is only 58 tracks, and that's all variants, including reverse. Here they are:
Alsace Village & Reverse
Autodromo de Interlagos
Autodromo Nazionale Monza
Autodromo Nazionale Monza (no Chicane)
BB Raceway & Reverse
Blue Moon Bay Speedway & Reverse
Blue Moon Bay Speedway - Infield A & Reverse
Blue Moon Bay Speedway - Infield B & Reverse
Brands Hatch GP Circuit
Brands Hatch Indy Circuit
Circuit de la Sarthe
Circuit de la Sarthe No Chicane
Colorado Springs Lake & Reverse
Dragon Trail Gardens & Reverse
Dragon Trail Seaside & Reverse
Fishermans Ranch & Reverse
Kyoto Driving Park Miyabi
Kyoto Driving Park Yamagiwa & Reverse
Kyoto Driving Park Yamagiwa+Miyabi & Reverse
Lago Maggiore Center & Reverse
Lago Maggiore East & Reverse
Lago Maggiore GP & Reverse
Lago Maggiore West & Reverse
Mount Panorama
Northern Isle Speedway
Nurburgring 24h
Nurburgring GP/F
Nurburgring Nordschleife
Nurburgring Nordschleife Tourist
Sardegna Windmills & Reverse
Suzuka Circuit
Suzuka East Course
Tokyo Expressway Central Inner Loop
Tokyo Expressway Central Outer Loop
Tokyo Expressway East Inner Loop
Tokyo Expressway East Outer Loop
Tsukuba
Willow Springs Big Willow
Willow Springs Horse Thief Mile & Reverse
Willow Springs Streets of Willow Springs & Reverse

How many short tracks there are depends what you define as "short". If we use the sub-two mile definition you seemed happy with above, 19 tracks qualify. That's 33%, and they are:

BB Raceway & Reverse
Blue Moon Bay Speedway & Reverse
Blue Moon Bay Speedway - Infield B & Reverse
Brands Hatch Indy Circuit
Colorado Springs Lake & Reverse
Kyoto Driving Park Miyabi
Lago Maggiore Center & Reverse
Northern Isle Speedway
Suzuka East Course
Tsukuba
Willow Springs Horse Thief Mile & Reverse
Willow Springs Streets of Willow Springs & Reverse

However, that's a faintly ridiculous way to count tracks.

Let's ignore the rally tracks (because Polyphony largely does too), and the three ovals (Northern Isle is only short because it's short; this seems like an odd thing to say, but it's a half-mile banked oval and there's nothing really that would distinguish it from a five-mile banked oval like Test Track). Let's dump the reverse tracks too - including Inner/Outer Tokyo variants, which are reverse tracks, but distinct on the grounds of using the opposing carriageways - and the "No Chicane" versions of Monza and La Sarthe, plus the Ring's Tourist layout (you can't race on it, and it's just a different start/finish line).

That gives us 29 tracks:
Alsace Village
Autodromo de Interlagos
Autodromo Nazionale Monza
Blue Moon Bay Speedway - Infield A
Blue Moon Bay Speedway - Infield B
Brands Hatch GP Circuit
Brands Hatch Indy Circuit
Circuit de la Sarthe
Dragon Trail Gardens
Dragon Trail Seaside
Kyoto Driving Park Miyabi
Kyoto Driving Park Yamagiwa
Kyoto Driving Park Yamagiwa+Miyabi
Lago Maggiore Center
Lago Maggiore East
Lago Maggiore GP
Lago Maggiore West
Mount Panorama
Nurburgring 24h
Nurburgring GP/F
Nurburgring Nordschleife
Suzuka Circuit
Suzuka East Course
Tokyo Expressway Central
Tokyo Expressway East
Tsukuba
Willow Springs Big Willow
Willow Springs Horse Thief Mile
Willow Springs Streets of Willow Springs

And of those 29, eight qualify under the two-mile rule:

Blue Moon Bay Speedway - Infield B
Brands Hatch Indy Circuit
Kyoto Driving Park Miyabi
Lago Maggiore Center
Suzuka East Course
Tsukuba
Willow Springs Horse Thief Mile
Willow Springs Streets of Willow Springs

And that'd be roughly 28% of tracks.

But... you gave us a new rule:

Trial Mountain is 2.47 miles long in GT6 (just under a quarter of a mile longer than Deep Forest). With that as the minimum length, we now have 12 qualifying tracks:

Blue Moon Bay Speedway - Infield A
Blue Moon Bay Speedway - Infield B
Brands Hatch GP Circuit
Brands Hatch Indy Circuit
Kyoto Driving Park Miyabi
Lago Maggiore Center
Lago Maggiore East
Suzuka East Course
Tsukuba
Willow Springs Big Willow
Willow Springs Horse Thief Mile
Willow Springs Streets of Willow Springs

That's 41% of tracks now.

But wait, there's more! You apparently include Dragon Trail Gardens as a short track, and that's 2.7 miles long!

This minimum length increases the count to 15 - FIFTEEN!

Autodromo de Interlagos
Blue Moon Bay Speedway - Infield A
Blue Moon Bay Speedway - Infield B
Brands Hatch GP Circuit
Brands Hatch Indy Circuit
Dragon Trail Gardens
Kyoto Driving Park Miyabi
Lago Maggiore Center
Lago Maggiore East
Lago Maggiore West
Suzuka East Course
Tsukuba
Willow Springs Big Willow
Willow Springs Horse Thief Mile
Willow Springs Streets of Willow Springs

15 tracks is more than half - 51.7%, if you're interested. So now most tracks are short ones! However, there's one more qualifying criterion you mentioned:

Deep Forest (home straight) and Trial Mountain (back straight) both have a straight measuring roughly half a mile. Willow Springs - which you were happy with earlier - is about the same, as is Suzuka East. Interlagos is, surprisingly, shorter, at about 710 yards (0.4mi), but that's because there's a corner right at the pitlane entry. Brands Hatch is much shorter, although including the kink at Pilgrim's Drop, it comes in around 740 yards (0.42mi)...

I'd have to get out and measure the straights at Lago Maggiore, but the longest one, on the GP and West circuits doesn't seem as long as Dragon Trail Gardens' main straight - and you're perfectly happy with that track.

So we could potentially ditch only the two Blue Moon infield tracks, leaving 13 of 29 tracks as "short", by your criteria. Even if you want to include the ovals and rally tracks, it's 17 of 35 (and that's almost half).

oooouch :-)

I continue to wish for way more scapes than there are currently in the game, and from many more countries and cities. The total number of scapes have remained just about the same ever since that 9GB Scapes DLC in October.

I was hoping additional scapes would have been added along with each update throughout, but it sadly hasn't been the case.

Don't forget The Crew 2!

AJ
Not a 'current' car.

My bad, for some reason had it in my head it was the RB06...

old-man-shrug.jpg

Assetto has also the SF-15T, The Crew 2 the RB13 and iRacing the MP4-30 and the FW31

Soooo many Assetto mods i've forgotten what is real anymore...

Morpheus2.jpg

iRacing.......yeah.......thats a thing......wow.........is that still going, I had literally completely forgotten it existed.

Well if it’s the W08 it’s not a current car either, the one in the crew is last year’s Red Bull no?

The W08 'is' a current car. It is not currently in any game outside F1 2017 & F1 Mobile Racing. And I am certainly not saying it is about to be, and want to make that quite clear for the record, your Honour/@Famine. Quite clear.

In my understanding, W09 is the current car.

Hm, looks like you guys is right, it migh be this car:

car_351_46737_555f42556183a.jpg

I don't remember how much this car costs in GT 6 and I wonder if it will be a Gr. X car?

It was about 1,800,000 credits if memory serves. More then likely will be a GR.3 car if the Citroen GT is anything to go by.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I'm 99% positive every update has had new scapes scenes.
I won't argue that. I haven't been around for many of the updates so I don't know everything that's been added.

I do know that there were 1,017 scapes on Oct 23rd. It then shrunk to 1,008 in late November and we're currently at 1,096 as of today.

That is only 88 new scapes since November and most of them are at Monza and Le Mans.

I had been hoping that they had been holding back on a couple hundred scapes all ready to be added every now and then. To show more of the world.

If I had my wish granted we'd have scapes from Hammerfest, Svalbard, Stockholm, Chicago, Calgary, Texas, Hokkaido, Socotra, Buenos Aires, Glasgow, Barcelona, Monaco, Florida, Saskatchewan, Arkhangelsk, Belfast, La Plata, Inuvik, Reykjavik, Warsaw and Omaha :)

Recent history of ('current') F1 cars in non Officially Licensed FOM games:

Gran Turismo 5 Prologue (2007) = Ferrari F2007 (2017)

Gran Turismo 5 (2011) = Ferrari F10 (2010)

Forza Motorsport 6 (2015) = Lotus E23 (2015)

Assetto Corsa DLC (2016) = Ferrari SF-15T (2015) [Credit @iFerrari]
Fora Motorsport 7 (2017) = Renault R.S.17 (2017)
Assetto Corsa DLC (2017) = Ferrari SF70H (2017)
The Crew 2 (2018) = Red Bull RB13 (2017) [Credit @TheGeologist]
So given this information I guess there is a good possibility that the open wheeler could in fact be an actual F1 car then! And goven the LH stuff, it could be a Mercedes!

I still think (purely my opinion) that it’s going to be an updated FGT though!

When did we lose scapes?

W08 is the 2017 car
W09 is the 2018 car

All the cars on games have been the years the game out e.g. Forza 7 etc...

W08 isn’t a current car, therefore. It’s a one year old model. January it was launched in 2017 and is therefore out of date in terms of F1 development.

Still think it’s a FGT or even better a Super Formula car (praying it is but I know it isn’t)

With the F1 car likely to have a pretty hefty price tag I thankfully have over a week to grind more on top of my current Cr6.1m. I really hope the Mazda 787B uses the GT6 sound sample and not the horrid LM55 VGT one. They made a huge backward step with the Peugeot 908 HDi so it's not unprecedented.

Also, on a side note, with Circuit de la Sarthe Circuit Experience presumably being added as part of the update, I assume PD will choose to use the Toyota TS050-HYBRID 2016 after the win this year. We are so getting the TS050-HYBRID 2018 in the next GT game.

Hell yeah Paul! Would love the 2018 Le Mans winner

Incorrect.

'Current' in this context has nothing to do with when the car was launched or its technology, and everything to do with when it raced, licensing, marketing, and specifically the fact that the current year version of the official F1 game launches in Q3 of the year.

I don't see it coming to GTS though. I'm only too happy to be wrong though! It would be the only car with a chance of catching up with the 7000km on my 2016 car.

I’m on 12,000KM in my TS050. Love it, but would love a 2017 or 2018 TS050. Plus, it’s the Le Mans car in the game, needs 7 gears not 6. 6 was for the highdown force kit such as Silverstone.

Not incorrect, the Renault is the 2017 car, and Forza 7 came out in 2017.

Not incorrect just saying the pattern, the deal with Microsoft clearly helps that.

It’s not a current car regardless of whatever is said, it’s a 1 year plus 4 months old.

Anyway, I don’t care what it is....just glad PD is finally adding a Single Seater that’s modern and up to date.
