So we get a Gr2 and a Gr3 race on the new track. Hope it is suited for faster cars then (it is probably also a longer track, as the upcoming daily race C is much fewer laps than usual).

Also guessing that the "car TBD" is the F1 car. That'll be chaos, an online F1 race.

It never clicked with me that most of the Circuit Experience cars are Gr.3. I had assumed that PD would choose the Toyota TS050-HYBRID for the Circuit de la Sarthe version, but perhaps they will go with the Porsche 911 RSR to keep that consistency. I'll still say Toyota though.
I think they will use the 919

Just spotted something...For the Nations Cup Season 3 there is a race at Suzuka and the category is --. This to me is the best clue that that race will be for the new F1 car since it is Japans F1 circuit, and it will be in a yet to be announced category.

That said, they could be doing a different or more major overhaul of categories this update.

Old news.

How is it old news? It's still the best and easiest way to earn some quick cash if you're in a pinch.

I've won that race 50 times since GT Sport came out, still no where near enough credits. Sorry if I don't feel like grinding the same race 50 times every time an update comes out and clears out what credits I have saved up.

I never said you had to grind the race, heck I never said you had to do the race period. Again, it was just a suggestion of the easiest way to make money.

I'm glad it won't be deep forrest or grand valley. Because, to be honest guys, we drove that tracks so many times its time to move on.

The F1 and 787B are closing the circle, every other car after them are just bonus for me

I used that car loads in one of the GT games can't recall which game but that car is wonderful in every way.
If that Mazda is presented to us then I may reconsider playing again.

Too many French tracks ;)

Free updates are ace, it's got to be underlined. Especially these days.

Looking forward to that F1 car, if only to livery it (wishful thinking).
Where have you been mate?

Can it be that the new track incoming is named :

"Track TBD"

Just seen this on the GT website in the schedule of the FIA championships from 8 August till 8 September :

Well if it is an 8 lap race at the TBD circuit, it must take at least 2 and a half minutes to get around. I make that assumption based on the length of previous races. Also, 15 laps at Suzuka in Car TBD. Wouldn't mind betting that it's the Mercedes F1 car.

This could be the new Group A that mysteriously appeared in one of the Daily Races a long time ago

For people saying they won't get GT sport because they don't bring back old tracks, are assuming that all the new tracks are bad. These people are the reason why GT5 and GT6 were weaker than past games.

Imagine if I was a person in 1998, deciding to get gran turismo 1 or not.

"No, there are no tracks I'm familiar with, so I'm not buying this"

But it says Car TBD though. The race itself will use Racing Medium tires and it uses the Grid Start with False Start Check starting procedure, which is a typical Formula racing start procedure.

That's interesting, don't think ANY Sport Race has had a Grid Start with False Check. Definitely implies a one-make race for you-know-what.

If it's the new Gr.A class, then the old "Group C" cars such as fe. 787B or C9, will stay in the Gr.1 class.

I believe that would be the case then IF Gran Turismo were let's say cartoon or TV show before the first GT game, and none of the tracks seen in either cartoon or TV show would be included.

GT has always been about the cars. In 1997(actually), I couldn't believe what I was seeing in that Gran Turismo demo. Exiting from a tunnel, a green Civic racing a Viper and a Corvette. The body language of the cars, looked so real.

With GT, as long a as there is a road to drive on, that's all that matters.
