GT Sport Update 1.57 Arrives

I also wonder if any new GT League events could be coming? I don't think we've seen a new race added for the Gr.3 Endurance Series in a while - perhaps a round at Laguna Seca would be a good addition? Especially since we just got another Gr.3 car with the DBR9. I bet there'll be at least a new round for the Supra Legend event, too, with the newer A90 being added. I could also see another round being added for the hatchback event, since we've obtained the non-Abarth-tuned Fiat 500.

Not sure if we'll ever see new events entirely, but I think it'd be cool, especially if we got some classic events like the Roadster Endurance, or something with more interesting regulations, like an endurance event that features Group C cars.

The update notes have always stated any new GT League races before. None are stated for this update, so I would assume none are being added.

I do think there may be new races with the May update, which is due to add the new Mazda GR3.

However, we had a rash of new races when Laguna Seca was added (and Spa before that). It may be that we don't get any new races now unless and until a new track (or wet track) is added.

Glad PD aren't wasting their man hours modelling a few obscure race cars of the last 20 years just to appease a small minority of very, very loud voices. I'm sorry, but a majority playing this game has no idea about the GTOne, CLK-GTR or any of those that always get chucked around these threads.

Ready for my crucifixion now.
I'd say at least half or more then the half of player base know these cars. And even if some don't, that doesn't mean they wouldn't get to like these cars if they were added. Besides, what about cars like Jaguar e-type, Mazda Demio, Toyota sports 800, Dodge Superbee, Toyota 2000GT etc? These are even less known and less beloved, yet they were added.

Honestly, I see PD do this and I smile.
One duplicate in 2 months is nothing to smile about.

They don't cave to crowd pressure over adding content into the game. They know what they feel the game needs and they stay the course and do it. This should have been predictable with the return of Supra cup and the Toyota relationship that exists there.
Come on you can't say that with a straight face. A duplicate isen't whats best for the game, people were/still screams for a better class system, more race cars which are absoloutely needed etc. Its not about "caving to pressure" Who gives a 🤬 about those entitled people who cry over everything? The problem is they are ignoring valid criticism as well.

I strongly disagree a legendary car is a legendary car regardless of age ill take a CLK-GTR over a duplicate any day. And besides isen't that part of Gran Turismo's point?. I mean if you want to drive the newest "cool" cars you have 10 other options on the market. And by using your way of thinking very few people give a 🤬 about Super Formula and Super GT so why waste time on them?.

I would like to compare both Supras and see if they handle differently. The 2019 Supra felt a bit unstable at low speeds, and was prone to sliding. It didn't have enough rear grip, which put a dampener on the experience. Maybe the 2020 version will rectify this issue.

Can you imagine people's reaction if the update only adds the Supra and doesn't bring the promised Sport Mode changes? GTP will turn into an all out WW3 zone probably.

Can't say I'm excited about the Supra, but it's not like they spent ages modelling it at the expense of another car since it's basically the same model with a new rim and some performance changes. At least it will probably be competitive in detuned N300 races in the future, possibly a good alternative to the M4 on high power tracks.

Personally, I'd love to see them add the 3000GT Concept version shown at SEMA

In addition we're still missing lots of historical Toyota models - Celica GT Four, Gen 1&2 Supra, Soarer, Starlet Glanza, Altezza, MR2 AW11, MR-S, Chaser, Mark II, Corona Exiv, Celsior, Century. And don't forget the legendary race cars like OG Castrol Supra, GT-One, Minolta, Toyota 7 and Celica/Corolla rally cars. In my mind, the Toyota partnership is a blessing in disguise because we wouldn't have gotten half as many of the new premium Toyotas in the game if it weren't for this. Just look at how sad the Honda/Subaru/Mitsubishi dealers are by comparison :(

And remember guys: one less car we see in GTS, is one more surprise in the next GT ;)

I was pleasantly surprised when I seen this update post on Twitter late last night. I totally forgot about updates with GTS as it’s slowing right down. But I thank PD for still applying any updates that contain any type of DLC. I’m looking forward to comparing the 19 and 20 models of the Supra around SPA. :gtpflag:

That one looks awesome I’d love that in the game for sure.

Why do I hope next update is literally northern isles speedway in reverse and nothing else just to come here and watch people have an aneurism over virtual cars

It's a classic trait from people that isn't happy, they want other people to be miserable to, that makes them feel better about themselves.

It's ok, believe in yourself, be the change, it starts with the man or child in the mirror..

Highly possible the RX-V GT3, could show up like the GR.4 Supra did. Of course, nothing saying it will or has to show up, but when the GR.4 Supra did, as an AI car, was quite weird.

A dedicated GR Supra Cup....
A yearly GR Supra models being featured as new cars....
Not to mention GR Supra racing models....
And other things like GR Supra survey.....

Yeah at this point I think I know why Polyphony Digital can obtain the Toyota License in the first place. There's some dealings going on there.

You typed all that for a joke

I concede similar confusion. The car shown in the images is clearly the 2020 "A91 Edition", and that should be 382hp - thus N400. But the site does indeed call it an N300. I guess we'll find out in the morning.

Plot twist, it's actually the 4 cylinder model PD is adding

Who wanna take a bet on scenario?

PD releases patch, after Sunday they got bombed on social media with bugs that patch created. In next 1-2 weeks fanbase is all over PD Twitter. We got hotfix and season is changed to exhibition once more.

Can't bet against that. My prediction is that the slipstream issue will be improved (which is the easiest thing in the world, putting in a factor 0.5 into the code. If the penalty system improves in any way, I will buy 3 more copies - just out of gratitude.

PD vs Entitled GT Planet Members.

Now it all makes sense.
