GT Sport Update 1.57 Arrives

Maintenance notification in game says 16:00-18:00 AEST, meaning it starts at the top of the hour. They might've delayed it due to PSN having issues as of around 1.5hrs ago.

Do literal lions have the ability to even perceive the opinions of literal sheep?

The analogy is stupid.

So is pinning for scraps from a developer of a 30+ month old game.

Oh Danny boy the ACC, the ACC is calling! Plenty of racing games out there to entertain people. No need to put all your eggs in one basket.

So basically the summary is that you get one car and a whole bunch of gameplay and BoP changes.

Well alrighty then...

As the update copies, I think I will take a nap.
Not bashing the developers or anything, but HOW ON EARTH CAN IT TAKE HOURS to unpack 500MB?
Guess it is just another case of "waiting for players to finish getting ready"

I WANT PENALTIES
I WANT SLIPSTREAM
I WANT HANDLING

Earlier we hoped those updates, now it's ridiculous! They released a broken game and is now getting too heavy of fixing. It's very annoying because every time there's an update you going to need a ridiculous amount of space to download it! I just had to delete two games to make a space for 509Mb update! Please PD move on to GT7 !

Well, it's blue alright.

Main Features Implemented
1. Cars
 - The following new car has been added.
  ・Toyota GR Supra RZ '20

2. Physics Simulation Model
 - The tyre wear rate for Gr.4 FF cars (Front-engine/Front-wheel-drive) has been adjusted.
 - The handling for all Gr.2, Gr.3, Gr.4 cars has been adjusted.
 - Fuel consumption rate for all Gr.2, Gr.3, and Gr4 cars has been adjusted. As a result, the difference in fuel efficiency among these vehicle classes has been reduced.

3. Sport Mode & Lobby
 - 'Fuel Consumption' and 'Tyre Wear' have been added to Qualifying races. As a result, the tyre wear and fuel consumption setting applied will be different for Qualifying and the Final races.
 - To coincide with the implementation of tyre wear and fuel consumption in the Qualifying, tyre wear and fuel consumption can now be enabled during free practice and in the pit stop during a warm-up.
 - The strength of the drag reduction applied when the slipstream setting is on 'Real' has been reduced.

Other Improvements and Adjustments
- Fixed an issue wherein the ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) setting would not be applied as intended during a pit stop in 'Sport' mode and Lobby.
- Various other issues have been addressed.

Specs '19 & '20(painted green). Same transmission and gear ratios.

50 extra bhp and it only has a higher top speed? Not quicker and better handling. This is with all the improvements the real car has.

Well I got a penalty for pushing someone off so maybe there's something there in the changes they've made! Guy serving a pen at Fuji moved across to block me going past so I deservedly sent him wide at T1 and deservedly got a penalty for doing so, just the 1s though. Plenty of shenanigans going on and not too many penalties dished out. Was barged off in the twisties and nothing. Lost 5SR. Try another quick race and see how that pans out

Edit: Gained 6SR for a clean Race B (I'm sure people will know if that's more or less than in races previously). Again not many penalties dished out, didn't see too much dodgy stuff though and not seen any unjust penalties, although it's a very small sample size and no doubt we'll have loads of videos later of wrong doing! Slipstream slightly weaker by the looks of it, not much

Just noticed the Race C details though, fuel consumption and tyre wear 'live' during qualifying. Will no doubt shake the grids up somewhat

Lots more turbo whistle in the '20. Running around Autopolis, it feels more predictable when getting loose in the rear.

Edit: I'm no drifter, but I find it much easier to induce a drift and hold a slide without it abruptly ending.

Did some laps at Interlagos in the Cayman GT4 since I've driven it the most recently in preparation for a race this weekend and it didn't feel any different to me.
I don't think we'll know until the actual race conditions. People can try lobbies, but racing against people with bad connections, heat of battle situations, etc. that may bring out the differences.

Ii don't know. Maybe the Daily Rac C might show the differences.

Did my laps in a private lobby. Just ran the Genesis Gr4 a bit, didn't feel any different either.
