Laguna is one of my favorite tracks but c'mon these reactions are a bit over the top. Someone made a mistake, the track will come in the next update.

At first they started teasing new content at World Tours, and that was not ok for me, but whatever. Then it took 2 months for Spa to appear. Now they even started lying. Just stop it. Don't tease anything, just release the content as time passes, because as HSG said, the community is now getting only the scraps. It's getting annoying.
And no, I don't care that they're doing all of this for free. It's their choice to do it, they started it because they knew that at the start this game was lacking way too much content, they can't backtrack at the last moment on what they say they will do.

Scraps?
There's a lot of moving parts between "track in/not in update" at PD and the person at PlayStation writing a video description. It doesn't surprise me that - if it's not true - it hasn't been fixed yet. It'll take a while to move through the chain, if it ever does.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not happy about it - after all, I wrote an article for the biggest GT and sim-racing news site saying that, based on that description, LS was coming to GTS this update - but there's no indication that this is a deliberate act to mislead.

So someone made a complete screw up of the YouTube video (and a stupid one at that knowing the community), ok that sucks that we aren't getting it as it turns out. The stroke people are having right now over it though..does no one have ANYTHING else to do?

It's funny how there was a debate about when Laguna Seca was unveiled even when the YouTube description stated it would be coming out in this update. It's ironic the track ended up not appearing in the update afterall.
Even if it is a simple mistake by the person writing the YouTube description, which it could very well be, there should be a explanation from Sony or PD. If it was a legitimate mistake, it would be wise to explain. If it was a technical issue with the track beyond their control and the track was not ready, Sony or PD should state that. Sony and PD can do damage control properly and I believe players who are reasonable would understand.

We're all here because we enjoy interacting with this community (even if it's often in negative ways) and I don't get the point of asking if they don't have anything else to do...
I don't care what HSG said because everything that comes out of HSG's mouth is worthless.
With that being said, PD have really dropped the ball on their future content marketing throughout this year. The hype for the big additions of wet conditions and Spa had almost completely died down by the time they actually came, and now Laguna Seca's hype is going to die before arrival too, especially since this comes after an actual 'confirmation' that we were getting it immediately.

Catalunya. PD never used to be trolls in regards to teasing content at the live events, so I have no idea why they started doing this in 2019.

I think people also need to think what would PD/Sony gain by deliberately misleading everyone? That would make literally no sense whatsoever. The outrage is predictable but someone made a mistake.
We don't know the full story of whether or not Laguna Seca was ever scheduled for release tomorrow or why the date was put into a a YouTube description put out by PlayStation, but there are any number of reasons and deliberately misleading/lying is never one of them.
It's a little irritating but the track will come sooner or later (and I still think it will be December), then the complainers can find something else to be outraged about.

Bruh the people complaining and saying PD lied and over reacting like some entitled child. Yall need to chill TF out, it's a damn game ever cross your mind that they found some issues with it or the date on the playstation YouTube video was a mistake. You just jump to conclusions, it just as bad as those of you who complain that the participants in the FIA events get stuff early when everything new you see in those events is usually WIP(work in progress). "Oh we the community get the scraps" just because it's ready to use in a devlopment build for these events doesnt mean it's ready for consumer build. It might be stable on the dev kits they run the game on at the events (from what I've been told they arent normal ps4 they use) a whole lot more work will have to go into it to run without causing crashes on retail hardware. Just be damn happy your getting 5 cars and other additional content. PD for the past 2 years have supported this game with free content and there is always constant damn moaning from the same lot of you every damn update.

The point I am making is how people need to chill out (maybe using a less then optimal question). People are already accusing Sony for false advertising when someone simply posted the wrong info on a Youtube video.

Catalunya was shown at the FIA event in October 2018. Polyphony didn't even release an update for that October, but did an update during the next month with Catalunya. PD unveiled Laguna this month, it follows the same pattern we wouldn't be getting it this month this early right after the FIA event.
In what way are they trolling?

That's not the point every time something new is added that yall dont like or there isnt something in the update you wanted you all get the pitchforks out. Now because there was a mistake around the Laguna seca release and going oh PD lied how scummy of them when no knows the reason why it's no longer in the update for this month you just jump to the conclusion PD lied and start behaving like entitled children.

I've personally never said anything about PD lying or anything of the sort. Sure, I'm upset but I'm allowed to be and I'm also allowed to express that on a public forum in any way I see fit so long as it follows the forum guidelines.

If you’re going to talk **** about me, at least have the gall to call me out by name. And I’ll assume the worst if I want, we all know PD is bad at communication but this is just another level of error on their/Sony’s part.
