For endurance races at Circuit de la Sarthe, I wonder what detrimental impact on fuel usage we could see on the Toyota TS050-HYBRID since PD gave it a 6-speed gearbox when the low-drag aero car always used a 7-speed? It was, like the other LMP1-H, to help efficiency and ICE stress.

It may have little impact but it is a situation that should not have arisen.

It'll die 3 minutes before the end for realism

I wonder if they'll have the 850/1350 downforce split like most of the other Group 1 cars do, or if they'll keep the ones they had in GT6.

Nice :D. PD's got it totally wrong! We're racing in Prototypes when we should be driving entry level hatchbacks. Rented hatchbacks, no less.

Of course there isn’t. It’s a class made specifically for an e-sports league.

Of course. My point was always the ridiculousness of the cars composing the class. It just got even more ridiculous.

Whats the difference between GR4,GR3,GR2,GR1, what makes Croup C lumped together with LMP cars so different? isn't all groups a mashup of different cars all brought together by the magic of BoP?
It will be interesting to test the new cars without BoP on the Le Mans track..

Cool. But when racing in Group 1 they are no longer LMP1 or Group C cars, they are Group 1 cars, which have other regulations.

Which is why I avoid them, because I like to drive the real deal and there's no such thing as a Group 1 class in real life.

I'm not sure if i understand you guys correctly, the LMP1 and group C cars in GT S is just put in a fiction Gr. 1 category in GT S, they are still LMP1 and group C cars under correct FIA regulations but just in a odd Gr. 1 category in GT S.

This is the car that won Le Mans 2011 on Circuit de la Sarthe, it is a LMP1 car but in the odd group category in GT S, but still a LMP1 car, I don't think it can be more like real life than this.

I never complained about duplicates but the Clio really...? They could at least bring the new Megane but another Clio we already have? For me it's the ugliest car in the game by far & nothing special about it!

The bigger offense is a second Megane in Gr.4. Kaz is just trolling us. But I may also be starting to believe that Renault conspiracy theory...

I wonder how PD chooses what cars to add into the game, other than fan recommendations I mean.

I honestly believe that half of the cars we get are just cars PD are working on for eventual inclusion in GT7, and they just put in whatever they happen to finish into GTS.

No. They have LMP1, Vision GT and now Group C all in Group 1, but the cars are all "modified" to be able to race each other. In other words, the cars in Group 1 all run under some fictional set of regulations that may, or may not, be based on a real set of regulations. Their outward appearance matters not. In the game's code, whether realistic or not, they're programmed to run at a similar pace.

How do you know the LMP1 cars is modified and the Group C cars which we don't even have yet, if some cars is modified it is the VGT LMP1 cars, so they are similar to the real life LMP1 cars in GT S.

[...] Megane Trophy in Gr.4 makes no sense. That car has way too much aero, they'll either underpower it so much it won't be able to survive any battles, or they'll make it way too heavy and hinder its endurance abilities, or the car won't be realistic.
From what I remember, only the headlights, mirrors and taillights were actual production parts that came from the Mégane. The rest of the car is a custom build spaceframe with a Nissan build V6 engine. In my opinion the car doesn’t belong in group 4 as it’s a purpose build race car and not a modified road car. It should either be in group 3 (power wise) or dumped in group X so you can only use it for one make races, as this car was designed to do so. Although I have seen other racing series having the first generation Mégane trophy car participate.

Because we know that, in real life, these cars would have different performance levels when compared to each other. Even between LMP1s, the newer Hybrid cars should be a good 3 to 4 seconds, a lap, faster (if not more) than the 2011, diesel only, R18 TDI. Yet, they're designed to run at near identical pace on all tracks in the game.

No mention of the new tyre model in the update?

Expected more on the fia stuff as well, I know we have the announcement coming but thought would be something in this one too. Well more than just a registration page anyway!

No new tyre model?

Excuse my ignorance, but was getting a Tyre Model Update official?

This is the first I'm hearing of it.
