So what's the difference between the 2016 Clio and the one we already have in the game?

I'm surprised the Group Cs are in Group 1 and not, you know, Group C but I'm not complaining either. If they're all a million each like the other Group 1s I should have enough to buy them all since I have 3 million in the bank now. Can't wait to take these for a spin up against modern prototypes.

Surprised the Megane Trophy is in Group 4 but I can dig it. I'll pick one up as fast as I can.

And please, give me that Fiat 500.

I'm not that interested in the Evo IV or the BRZ so much but the Miura is cool. But I probably can't afford it and I already have my radar on the Group Cs, the Megane and the Fiat 500.

They are going to average 2mill each

That’s true but remember PD put GT500 super GT cars in Gr.2 so I don’t think they are strictly following real racing class designations. Apart from perhaps Gr.3 & 4 being closely related to real life GT3 and GT4 (ish)!
Look up Class 2 ;)

Differences between the 2015 and 2016 Clio are purely aestethics. There's absolutely no mechanical difference.

Megane Trophy in Gr.4 makes no sense. That car has way too much aero, they'll either underpower it so much it won't be able to survive any battles, or they'll make it way too heavy and hinder its endurance abilities, or the car won't be realistic.

There IS A GAP! Lap-times don't lie. It's simple math, lower means better. So maybe, at Le Mans, the gap isn't that large because Le Mans is, for the most part, a high-speed track. So much so, in fact, that manufacturers build specific configurations for it, while having others for the rest of the tracks. Speaking of other tracks, we've only been comparing LMP1 vs Group C at Le Mans, but that's not the only track in the game. What about more technical courses? What if we have tight or technical sections that will benefit the superior technology, both in aero and hybrid power, LMP1s have? It's not all about Le Mans, they have to balance them everywhere. That makes the BoP for that, even more difficult and ridiculous.

However, I digress because, as others have already pointed out, this ends up being a pointless debate. GT Sport is more about play-ability and competition than it is about raw realism. For raw realism, look elsewhere. Debate over.
You don't win this one buddy. In 2013 one year after the TS030 did its fastest lap in warmup. 3:26. Deal with it.
Anyway the Group C cars are all longtails built for just the one track. It would have been nice to get the shorttail versions.

Ah, so it was the Lancer Evolution IV GSR afterall. My second guess was correct all along.

The Group C cars look fantastic and it's cool to see La Sarthe back. I still think however that pinning them against modern day LMP1 cars is a bad idea. Granted, Forza Motorsport 7 did it too, but that doesn't exactly make it okay. In my opinion, PD should have took a page out of Slightly Mad Studios' book and put them in their own class. It worked out pretty well for Project Cars 2 imo.

Also, the Clio and BRZ are kinda redundant additions. I honestly would have rather seen PD model another Renault in place of that Clio. Perhaps the either the Clio V6 or Clio R.S. that were both in GT6. For the BRZ, a previous gen of the Impreza WRX STi would have been preferred.

I will be very disappointed if there is no night variation of Circuit de la Sarthe as racing during the night is such a huge part of the epic race.

Cannot wait to get going on the circuit though.

Awesome update!!!

But still no Mitsubishi 3000GT / GTO love. :(:(:(
I would love to see the 3000GT return. Such an under appreciated car. Some day...

I spoke of him highly once, but I was informed that he was affected by the grip bug. Also explains why he never appeared in the Top 10 leaderboards again

He had the grip bug and is much slower now. :indiff: Hope he gets some more natural speed soon in time for the FIA competitions.

There is a nice write up here:

The Silk Cut, The C9 and the 787B is the Le Mans cars that dreams are made off... and only one of them has a sound that gives me the chills.. nothing comes close... nothing at all.

Ohh and please, the 787B won that Le Mans, there is absolutely no discussion about that fact, there were plenty of other cars in that race that could have "made it", but to win you have to FINISH first.

No mention of the new tyre model in the update?

Expected more on the fia stuff as well, I know we have the announcement coming but thought would be something in this one too. Well more than just a registration page anyway!

Dilemma. I’ve been half-assedly grinding/hoping to strike the XJ13 in the daily workout as it was my favourite car I didn’t have.

Now they introduce the Miura which will slot above the XJ13 in that regard and about $10,000,000 out of my current price range.

And on top of all that my all time favourite Le Mans car, the XJR9, is introduced. What to do:confused:

You’re killing me PD:guilty:

I was afraid of what they were going to do with the Group C Cars, placing them with Gr.1. They really should be their own category. They're starting to get lazy with the classifications here. Other than that, a pretty solid update PD. Most excited about Le Mans returning!

I didn't see this mentioned, but what does the new medal in the top-right designate? Is this a FIA thing?

That is whenever you have unlocked an in-game reward. Nothing new

Except these two cars, you liked the contents of this update?
The fiat is useless to me, so I’m meh about 5 cars and a track that should have been on the game to begin with. like a scene before the actual track? Kidding me?
