I'm not sure how I feel about Le Mans in this game. Great to have the track of course, but what happened to the public road signs adding to that unique character of the circuit? My biggest gripe has to be the trees though. You heard me right, the trees. Too wilderness-esque for my taste.

Google "old Hockenheim today" and you'll get the idea.

And I know it was repaved recently (at least the Mulsanne straight was) but in game it feels way too smooth.

Some of the cars in here sound very decent however one particular again dissapoints me in how it sounds.

That car is the Nissan R92CP '92
While it sounds "decent" in no way it matches its IRL counterpart.

Watch from 5:32 onwards and you will get my point.

Its honestly a joke how entitled some in this thread are, to the extent that they can't even be happy about free content in a landscape where nearly every AAA multiplayer game has microtransactions/lootboxes/numerous DLC packs.

The complaint that this content should already be in GTS doesn't even hold, as there's little to no proof that PD intentionally held this back and GTS launched with more/similar amounts of singleplayer and multiplayer content than most AAA games.

 - Player’s Registration Details are now required when playing in “Sport” mode. Please fill in the registration form displayed on screen when selecting “Sport” mode. The content of the registration form is as follows:
  ・Contact email address (1)
・First Locale: Your State/prefecture of residence
  ・Second Locale: Your city/town/village of residence (2)

Not too keen about this as I try to avoid giving away personal data wherever possible and entering fake stuff defeats the point here, especially on the age part :guilty:

(The first locale information is displayed in the rankings.
The rankings based on the second locale and age groups are only visible to yourself, and are not revealed to other players.)

Jesus, can PD just put a regular Miura in these games so we don't have to pay 15 damn million for the ridiculous Bertone prototype?

What an absolute joke and it just makes it so much more likely that a ton of people will never drive the car. I've put over 100 days in GT Sport and think I've only acquired 15-20m in prize credits, and now there's at least 3 cars 15m or over. What the hell do they expect? Just another example of stupid game design by Polyphony Digital.

Is there any other game that has microtransactions besides NFS? I love me some free content, and this is going to be great for me when I get the game, but lets try to be truthful about what other games are doing. What's the problem with numerous DLC, are you actually trying to portray that as a bad thing?

That I can agree with. They are on par with most other Devs, and with how much post-release content is coming, It's hard to be upset with what they're doing.

Maybe if you do a 24h at Le Mans, you could earn a lot in credits? I heard it's very fun to do.

Can't wait for the 20 million credit 250 GTO and 10 million TZ2 for extra armchair anger

all of the photos for the cars in my garage have disappeared, has this happens to anyone else?

Yes. Mine started to reappear slowly after maintenance finished. It was taking up to 5 minutes for each car, so I left Sport running all night long and this morning they're all back. Man, PD freaks me out with every update, wondering what will be broken this time.

it's going to take forever for me, I have 162 cars

Do you guys think the track limits on Le Mans is a bit too strict especially on the Ford chicanes? I got a penalty for just running over the kerbs.

Maybe. Although, once you know where the limits are you can drive to them and its the same for everyone. It'll come with time but until then I'm seeing a hell of a lot of red laps.

Damn, no night racing? This is a sin for this track. Did they rush this out? This game has night tracks, so kinda curious why it was left out.

On a side note, right before turning onto the long straight, you can hear highway cars driving by. I parked my car in Time Trail and was wondering where that noise was coming from, guess there is a highway nearby.

Yeah, it's disappointing to spend a million credits and then hear what seems like the standard GT V8 sound instead of a roaring Group C engine. The Benz as the same problem, it's nothing like the real Sauber:

I don't really know what the problem is with their sound design department. They modeled individual scratch marks on the R92CP, yet they don't give anywhere near the same attention to the sounds. Which to me is much more important as a driver.

Its called making a video game challenging and rewarding. A lot of modern video games lack this like Forza because people don't want to put the time in. I think its very cool that they include these ridiculous prices because after a while, you'll have a car that nobody else would have and it s very rewarding because you worked hard to get it. This is just another example of ingenious game design by Polyphony Digital.

But me for example... I'm basically stuck with daily rewards only. I do like the game, but don't enjoy the driving enough to actually earn money. I've completed the career already & now i know i wont have a chance to test or hotlap any of those cars ever! Unless i'm very lucky.

P.S. ...But in the other hand, i've driven those cars in GT6 & have Assetto Corsa aswell. (Not meant to be rant/whine)

Lol what

Getting a lot of credits is not related to how good you are as a player, and how rewarding it is to do what you have.

You earn more credits per minute doing a bloody X-Bow race at Bluemoon than you do for winning a FIA Championship Race (or any daily race). The stuff which actually requires skill, which are the daily races, don't give you many credits.

Hence, the credits come from doing non-skill related stuff mostly.

It is stupid to say that gaining 15 Million credits is a 'rewarding experience' because the main 'rewards' in this game come from doing stuff that doesn't require any skill. You would have to do so many daily races to get 15 Million Credits.

If the main bulk of credits did actually come from stuff that required skill, then yeah, it might be fair to describe it as a rewarding experience to get so many credits. But it doesn't.

I just bought the new May update Evo IV. I was setting it up to make a drift video so I raised the HP and lowered the weight both at level 4 and I think something is wrong with the suspension physics of this new car. What do you think guys ? Have you tried it ? It looks too much loose to me... Maybe a bug to be fixed ?

Here is a better look at it.

Le Mans has some rather gorgeous looking scenery. The replay cameras are almost deceiving me into thinking that I'm watching real footage. I wonder if this opens the door for us to get Bugatti later down the line?

Again, not everyone has the time. I am 45 yrs old with many responsibilities/activities occupying my time. I want to be able to enjoy driving/racing these cars in the 2 hrs a week max I get to play. The time vs reward ratio in this game is just too high. Payouts should be bumped or higher end cars should be able to be unlocked directly (as in old) by completing game challenges. Random car rewards that can duplicate AND you can't sell is just a bad idea, and makes my time spent achieving such things feel wasted.
I, like others, want to play the game. What good are the added cars to me if I have no hope of ever buying them?
On top of all that, this game is geared around online competition, so the old model of unlocking things is anachronistic at best. The challenge/reward is the competition itself, not spending hours of valuable time to gain access to virtual items that will disappear once this game is shut down. So then we have to grind because the (barely existing) first player does not have a competent reward system.
My point is, in the ever increasing online focus of games these days, the reward/unlock system is not relevant. Sure there can be bonus items to work for, but the core content of the game should not be back there, especially since this game will be literally shut down one day in the not to distant future.

Thanks for sharing the video, very cool footage.
What is the whistling noise only be heard from outside the car? Turbo Charger?

Or you fluke it in the daily workout prize while every other unlucky SOB has to spent months saving up 15m to buy it, only to drive it a couple times and that's it because the game is primarily about racing cars. Very rewarding indeed. No single car should cost more than 5 million credits.

^^ This. I never heard someone ever say "ingenious design" for uber expensive cars. That's a stretch and sounds like Battlefront 2's excuse of grinding for "rewards". "But....but.....you'll feel special!!!" haha

Disagree with you here. Video-games should be a form of enjoying things you would, normally, not be able to do in real-life, like driving a rare Lamborghini Miura. If you have to struggle and grind to get to the good stuff, that's a chore and not fun, especially if the end reward is just the ability to drive a certain car. There are aspects of real-life exclusivity that don't need to be translated to a video-game because, then, a video-game stops being entertainment and becomes just the continuation of your real-life difficulties, in attaining such items, only in a virtual world. I don't understand people who like this.

I like Project CARS 2, for example, because it gives the option (options are the best solution) of doing a career, with progression and rewards for those who want it. Or if you're just in for a quick hot-lapping session, you can just pick your favorite car, favorite track and go. Don't like one style of play, don't choose it, go for the one you want.

Also, not everyone has the time (or the patience) you have to put in hours after hours after hours of gameplay just for one in-game item. I, personally, don't buy anything costing more than 2 million. Not worth my time.

And what's the point of the BRZ S when we already have the 86 GRMN?

...Road going Subaru that isn't an Impreza?

Agree, this car should be a Gr. X car and used for one-make races like the Renault Sport R.S 01, it's not a GR.4 or GT4 car, this is why i'm not going to buy it, it's just a out of place car :embarrassed: :).

and for the Megane, it's a one-make car in the real world and that's why I feel it is misplaced in GT S and should be a Gr. X car,

So you have a problem with one former One-make car in a GT4-based class in a game, yet you have no problem with what is essentially a race car (that also was for one-make racing) with no road car racing against cars in various GT3 categories that have road going counterparts in real life AND the game despite the Megane essentially doing the exact same thing in real life (albeit with a actual road going counterpart)?

I don't buy the other fictional Gr. 4 cars in GT S either, I have the Audi and the Porsche, because they are real life GT4 cars :).

Wow, so you prefer the German one-make racer (that does not race in ANY GT4 category in real life) to race in GR.4 yet not the French one that actually has. Comes off either as you not being all that versed in motorsports to say the Audi is a "Real life GT4 car", or you may be slightly hypocritical.

Oh and fun fact, this is Audi's actual GT4 car:

Well with the reactions of people when it comes to anything that isn't fast, maybe they were counting on people ignoring it
