GT Sport's Next Update Arrives April 23

surely there will be a track included ? what are we all guessing it will be ?
Well, the TT will be shown first(alphabetically, of course). Hmm, how about the camera panning around a red TT, on the front straight at Silverstone?

Edit that: HOCKENHEIMRING!

I'm thankful for the updates and new material but who is really going to care about a fit and another Audi tt. I'd love to see a couple more muscle cars added. Or at least anything cool that doesn't cost 20 million. I refuse to pay for cars. Guess I'm just cheap like that.

I've also got one million plus a bit more to get the 962, Fit, Renault and AE86. My Group C gargae are ready for their latest brother.

I expected it to come later in the week... A pleasant surprise then.

How about this?
It's based on the Rothmans livery, but doesn't have Rothmans logos themselves.

But I wonder about the shapes of the winglets...
This is a good thing for me because I'd be able to properly recreate this car:

That’s not always the case. The most recent update showed the Ferrari first, then Lambo, Lancia and then both Dallaras. I think they show the cars based on... importance... or popularity... I guess...

Since we got a real-world circuit last month, I'm guessing it's an original. Deep Forest is one we know that they've been working on since release; I could also see Matterhorn circuits come back since they were just created in GT6 and possibly done with GTS in mind.

If it's a real-word track, I don't think it will be an Asian track, as I'm pretty sure Kaz recently said we'd get some non-Asian tracks before another Asian track was added. Ascari and Silverstone are good guesses, they were also just added in GT6. Despite the meme, Spa is a contender as soon as the licensing issues are resolved, since it's ready to go. I could also see an American track being added due to the relative lack of American tracks in the game, so a returning American track like Laguna Seca, Daytona, or Indianapolis is possible.

One other note: I don't think we'll get another circuit that's new to the game, as even though it's been almost 2 months since we got Autopolis, Autopolis was brand new to the game. As a result, much as I think COTA is likely to happen, it won't be this update.

I like your thinking. My guess would be Mid-Field or Apricot Hill for Fictional, since they were redone for GT6. Or maybe even Matterhorn. For Real-world, I’m thinking Ascari or Silverstone as well...

The Dallaras come under Super Formula. Still alphabetical.

Edit: I like that Daytona idea above. Group C cars on the banks of the oval. 👍

I'm going to care about them as I do a lot of N-class and one-make racing and like to diversify what I drive :)

They should be going the route where they introduce new cars and then add content like Audi TT cup, maybe old TT vs new TT and the Fit Jazz Sunday Cup etc.

The fact they havent added dedicated Group C racing is a waste of material... like extensive... how long did it take to model the 5 cars?

For what purpose? To end up as backmarkers for LMP-H and VGT?

Similar to the '08 GT500 cars. They aren't necessary, as we have the up to date models. I agree with the popular vote to separate Group C cars though. Introducing those cars, one would think they'd be in a separate class. Might have warranted them being put in Gr.X. PDLogic(trademark)

Well with the VGT's that have sort of made two quasi classifications.

Standard performance VGT's are just "VGT" racing and you can pick and choose there, it seems up to about 600hp which leaves many as being totally undesireable like the Mini VGT which is around 400?

The unlimited VGT is is the "VGT Plus" and again you get some undesirables like the 700hp Hyundai when you 900+ hp Tomahawks and McLarens reign.

They can do it, they just havent yet.

Just to clarify, it isn't "based on" the Rothmans livery per se.

It is the Rothmans livery, just with the 'Racing' logo retrofitted to comply with tobacco advertising laws in the country where it competed at that time. Sometimes this is done long after race cars are retired from competition, so that teams can use it as a show car without worrying about potential law suits or further censorship.

In any case I can nearly 100% guarantee that you will not see the word 'Rothmans' on the car in-game. It is for the same reason that you don't see the words 'Silk Cut' emblazoned on the Jaguar XJR-9 in-game.

If we do end up getting the Rothmans 962 I'm sure it'll just be the original livery with the Rothmans decals deleted, similarly to how the XJR-9 is missing the Silk Cut decals. Unless they want to censor them with "Racing".

On an unrelated note I made a Marlboro livery for the Honda Super Formula where the Marlboro text is replaced with McLaren in the Marlboro typeface.

i was watching tidneys stream the other night. he seems to know what cars and what tracks are coming somehow. he said a single car pack also coming soon, and tracks that we havnt seen before

I think some of the reasons why the content updates has less cars than they use to have is either the save up for something bigger. Or some of work goes up more for gt7

I dont take last month as normal but many people do... maybe they are moving to say 5 cars every 6 weeks or so...

I think this time last year they did 12 cars in one shot?

I think the early March Update was "effectively" the February car update, 5 cars were ready in February but not added until then, another 5 cars in March and now 5 cars in April. So, 5 cars each month is the recent pattern.

I have a theory that they are moving to producing more new models and fewer GT6 reworked cars. The new models would take longer to do and that would explain a slower output. But, that's just a guess on my part!

Also, I think, like many, that the 12 car DLCs in early 2018 included some cars that were ready earlier but added later to ensure they had a steady flow of cars for the first 6 months.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to all 5 new cars. Though I'm still working through all those March cars and haven't had time to drive the Dallara's or Stratos yet!

I understand it's your opinion, although me and many others would like that track. (I've always wanted this track since it first appeared in Gran Turismo 5!!!
