A maintenance notice has just been posted over at https://www.gran-turismo.com/, revealing that a game update will be released with maintenance at the following times:

04/21/2019

At the following time, we will perform maintenance on the 'Gran Turismo Sport' servers. A new game update will also be available after the maintenance. Please note that during this time the online services, including [Sport Mode], will not be available.

[Day & Time]
April 22, 2019: 21:00 – 23:00 PDT
April 23, 2019: 04:00 – 06:00 UTC

We can safely assume this will be the update adding the recently revealed 5 new cars - https://www.gtplanet.net/gtsport-april-2019-update-confirmed/, potentially along with a new track as is to be expected. This means a trailer may be posted tomorrow, on Monday, along with the update overview on the Gran Turismo website. Otherwise, we can expect to see the trailer published along with the update itself on Tuesday or late Monday (depending on timezones).

So this should get us to 294 cars in total and if we get a new location its 27 track locations in total. But i am more intrested for the future of ps5 when we might get a proper gran turismo again gt7. Becouse no matter how many cars and tracks they add. Its still going to feel empty in a lot of areas. In terms of features its really lacking, almost in the same sense as an prolugue game would be just with sport mode and new cars and tracks.

Like the Wind would be a nice addition for the Professional League. There would be no car restrictions, with the exception of a 998HP limit. Races on Blue Moon Bay (10 Laps), TEW East (3 Laps) and finally SSRX (1 Lap). It would be a multi-class race like in GT6. Gr.1s mixed with hyper cars that have high top speeds like the Huayra, Veyron, P1 GTR, Mach Forty, etc.

Wow would be nice, multi class like GT3 A-Spec and GT6, Le Mans cars, tunned cars, Super GT, classics and street vehicles in one soup.

This. I expected it with the May 1.19 2018 Update which brought the Group C cars, but we didn't.
Very nostalgic races, especially at Test Course.

CVT doesn’t mean Gr.X. Road cars that are fully electric only go to Gr.X.
I think it’s the CVT that gets them into Gr.X not them being electric. Both the i3 and the Tesla have CVT’s. I feel like a CVT would give a bigger advantage than an electric power train. It could be that it’s both CVT’s and electric cars are banned from N Class, we’ll never know unless PD decide to add either to N Class.

OK for all these car update, actually you think which car is supposed to be added in GT Sport (that keeps the 'Sport' and online theme)?

Didn't know the 962C and the Fit Hybrid was from GT6.
Audi TT Coupe 3.2 quattro 2003, Toyota Sprinter Trueno 3door 1600GT APEX (AE86) 1983, and Renault R8 Gordini 1966. Awright... 3! Then the Honda Fit you add "hybrid" and re touch the programming ending up with one new car... the Porsche.
Sorry about the inaccuracy.
