It's not good, the GT3 and 4 cars are getting out of date very quickly, I can only assume they are saving them for the next Title if that's not the case there championship will soon die out, next year will be 3 years with the same car list for the Manufacturers

Woo hoo! The silhouettes are back :D

I'm not an expert on cars, but these silhouettes do all look like japanese car designs typical of 90s or 2000s.

One thing seems clear in my opinion, if these are all the cars in the update, then the new partnership has nothing to do with these cars, whatever it is.
Unless it's a partnership with some tuning magazine or other tuning-related company...

Details don't match the Levin either. I mean, if it was the Levin, we wouldn't be wondering what the car is, we'd have already known it by now.

Damn that middle one is hard. It's super close to a Levin but the headlights don't quite look correct. Could just be a red herring on Polyphony's part with the lighting and the angle but stringing people along about a slightly different variation of a car that's already in the game would seem a little odd.

I thought maybe an Alfasud but the bonnet profile isn't quite right.

The wing mirrors are throwing me off because they're more typical of a late 80s/early 90s Japanese car while the headlights and grill are more typical of something from the late 70s or early 80s, which leads me to suspect that it's either not Japanese (hence why I thought maybe an Alfasud) or that it's something of an oddball pick.

There's no bonnet bulge so I don't think it's a V8 Zagato. It clearly doesn't have popup headlights so that immediately excludes a lot of potential candidates like the Mitsubishi Starion.

I'd say there's an outside chance it's a Maserati Biturbo but the roofline and headlights don't quite look right.

The issue is that a lot of 80s coupés looked super similar, and while the Lenin is still the most obvious pick I wouldn't feel confident betting more than a couple of euros on that being the case. It could be a Škoda 130 or something completely out there for all I know.

My final guess will be a TE71 Levin, since that'd be a fantastic oddball and might explain why they'd be trying to throw people off

My gut feeling is that the middle car is a Toyota. I’m guessing an older model Celica. ‘86 2000 GT-R.

I was thinking similarly about it not being Japanese. Hell, the V8 Zagato was something I looked up too, along with a few alfas.

Car in the silhouette has a flatter roof, shorter hood, different mirror shape, and different headlights but sure, it's the Levin.

We'll go with that then.

Could be 4-door STI.

Could be a Lancer vs Evo event. Would be cool. Certainly more cars added to the AWD GT League event.
Could've been better pick. Like, you know, remaining Impreza generations like GD, GE, etc.

I thought it might be a Eunos Cosmo, but the headlights are too vertical. Mitsubishi Galant GTO also came to mind and Toyota Carina 4WS(lights are too sloped). Shame it's not a TOM'S X540.

I’m really disappointed in another update for the second time in a row. They really messed up that last one with the placement of the MX-5 Touring Car and this time it’s another low car count but there’s only one type of car being represented in this update between the five we’re getting (late 20th century JDM).

I thought GT was supposed to be about diversity and the celebration of car culture. Instead most of the cars we get in updates are Japanese cars from last century. Meanwhile the racing catalogue is getting a little stale after two years and the Australian and American scenes are being completely slept on. I was positive that the C6 ZR1 and Viper ACR would return by now, but it’s crickets so far.

I don’t care what anyone says about what I post or how many people call me out. This update is boring and that fixed headlight AE86 is a damn duplicate.

(It’s not going to matter anyways because the Alfa 4C, MX-5 TC and KTM are all in the same categories, so they’re all pretty much useless anyways. GT Sport is fun but damn does it have some serious issues.)

My goodness me! I walk away from this site from a few hours and get show this. Amazing! Still just 5 cars, but that's fine.

Car #1: Ah, so they're finally getting to the Nissan Silvias starting with the S13, nice. I can't wait to put a GT1 RM on one. :D
Car #2: So they finally add the AP2 S2000, great!
Car #3: Audi Quattro? Toyota AE86 Levin? Isuzu Piazza? Eh, I got nothing.
Car #4: Okay, that would be so cool if it's a 1st Gen Mitsubishi GTO, it's been so long since I've seen one of those in a racing game.
Car #5: That looks to me like a GC8 Subaru Impreza Sedan WRX STi Version (either a 1998 or 99 model). or I could be wrong and it's the 1999 Subaru Impreza Rally Car. Either way, I'm excited for that.

the front is frustratingly close to an 80s Mazda 323/Familia but the rear profile doesn't match up

The rear end is what keeps tripping me up. I increased the brightness of the photo and I can kind of make out what looks like a spoiler. That’s why I guessed a Celica a few posts back. It sort of has that short end similar to a hatchback and what resembles a spoiler.

But the Levin might be the best guess.
