Awesome cars, but way overdue. I actually wouldn't expect to play a Gran Turismo without these cars in it when it's released. We have had them since GT1 as they are the core of the series. Having them after almost two years of latest game is just a total disrespect to their fan base and their legacy.

I think the wet weather conditions will probably be on limited circuits at first, it's unrealistic to expect all circuits to have wet conditions in one update.
Im against people hating on PD for many of thair choices but PD has no excuse for doing such thing.

Watch it be another Lancer.
Evo 9 please!

And Hyundai. But I might be biased.
I just checked and the brands that haven't recieved any love since release are Bugatti , Chaparral , Citroen , Hyundai , Infiniti , Peugeot . *And Fittipaldi but im not counting it in because i have no idea what cars could come besides the EF7 .

Knowing PD, if it ain't a Toyota, it'll be a Lexus. (Still Toyota)
Fun fact the only official GT3 car we got as DLC was the 2017 Lexus RCF

I feel like we are actually gonna have to wait until GT7 to get some MODERN and UP TO DATE road and race cars... and it legit frustrates me without a doubt.
I know where you are coming from but you said the same thing 5 times already stop you made your point.

Considering it doesn't belong in Gr4, where should it go?
Well if they can make a chiron with wings just 980 kg (VGT GR.1) im sure they could give the Mazda 100hp more or what else it needed and put it in GR.4 or fix the class system or save it for the next game.

Someone made a comparison pic for that middle car in the silhouette pic.

It is indeed a Levin.
But why... i thought GT was done with this duplicate 🤬 and the second Clio was a marketing deal. If they want to add another AE86 it should be the Initial D version (and no im not a fan boy i have barely watched initial D) .

Hopefully the track and rain save this update from being a waste of space, for me at least. God, I'm sick of classic road cars, I've driven most of these in previous GT games. Why can't they add half nostalgic road cars, and half race cars and modern road cars every update, to keep everyone happy?

PS: Everyone saying these cars are what made Gran Turismo originally, forget these cars were modern-modernish when those iconic games launched

If the track is either Red Rock Valley or Rome Night from GT2.

I would no doubt give this update a 10/10.

Red Rock Valley would be very cool. Infact, any classic track would be! Let's just see what happens, don't wanna turn this thread into a suggestion thread ;)

A good track to comeback would be New York Street Circuit with and option to race at sunset or sunrise but since this is more of a japanese oriented update then probably Tokyo R246 or SSR5 would be more appropriate. Either way, I am quite happy that some iconic cars are returning to the series.

Now this is a car update.. Excellent additions, pretty much all of them classic, must-have cars in a racing game.

Bottom right will be the '99 Impreza STI VI Type-R btw. Pretty much the pinnacle and last year of the GC chassis, besides the 22B which is it's own, unique, unobtainable-for-regular-people kinda thing. It's one of the reasons I bought a 2.5RS way back in the day. It was the best we had in the States at the time :indiff:

Mine just before I traded it in on the '05 STI :(

Maybe if this didn’t end up turning into another flamefest website
Maybe if people didn't wade into a conversation calling people "dumbass crybaby" they would have a better time of things.

Children are allowed on GTPlanet, so long as they are 13 years old or over (federal child protection laws make it tricky for us to accept younger members). The second proviso is that they follow the Acceptable Use Policy, which they - like every other member - agree to when they join the site, shortly before picking a username. And hey, let's check out the third point on there:

AUP
You will not behave in an abusive and/or hateful manner, and will not harass, threaten, nor attack any individual or any group.
Right now you're blaming GTPlanet for you abusing other people and then getting offended when they look at your profile, see the age you've entered into it and extrapolate that your behaviour is a property of your age... which itself could be reasonably concluded is a property of your age.

You get out what you put in. You put in directed personal abuse. The response to that - from members who actually seem to have read and agreed to the Acceptable Use Policy rather than ticking a box - has been rather muted by comparison.

In other news, here's a negative of the middle car for no reason other than because I could:

Levin is classic GT
Levin is a 'dupe' of Sprinter, and we know that happens with GT
Levin silhoutte matches Sprinter silhouette with different nose
Update is tight-JDM-yo.

It's a Levin people.

About to have the most controversial comment so hold my beer...

PD is STILL stuck in 1999 in terms of the car list.... thank christ i lost all faith in any new race cars a month ago...

I hope they are secretly modelling many more cars (especially newer, racing ones) for the next GT (7? Sport 2?).

I find it funny, that the event is in New York, which might make you expect some American content, and the car pack is all Japanese. They might as well throw Motegi in for the track.
