It is neither one...which one
When was it confirmed?
Confirmed by me, visually, I don't see it how it could be the Levin... The shape of the car may match, but the headlight is still throwing shades at me....
Of course I could be wrong....

Do you know what, it really does! How incredible would that be though?OK, I finally pinpointed the car I think it looks like, which it definitely isn't. Which is the Austin Princess.

Oh, I was hoping you had an actual source. I'd avoid saying something is 'confirmed' unless you actually have something to back it up.
But I still stand by my prognostic... I don't think it either cars...
I find it interesting that despite the wealth of knowledge here, we are still not able to make it out lol...
I’m going to say that the piazza actually fits the mould so much better than the levin. So then, by the usual use of the word "confirmed" in the usual context of this thread, being that it requires something official from Kaz, Polyphony, or GTP, it is not confirmed.
I'd rather it not be the Levin since we have the Trueno, and I'm sure it's not... but I've tried and failed to match it to literally every JDM car from 1978-1995 that would be of a similar shape, and even considered ridiculous oddballs it'd clearly never be like the Nissan Auster JX Hatchback (and everything in between, such as the Mitsubishi Cordia, Subaru Leone Coupe, Nissan Langley, Toyota Celica XX, etc.).
Despite the lighting, bonnet angle and everything below the bonnet and leading edge not matching, the Levin is the best candidate we have right now, followed by the Isuzu Piazza or Piazza Nero (still not a total match but it's about as close as the Levin), and maybe the later AE92 Levin/Trueno.
What's causing any match to fail is what the shadowy lighting shows to be the backward angle and harsh/weird baseline of the headlight, a prominent grille edge (a top edge halfway up the headlamp height) or crossbar, and a separate indicator light/shape signature on the front wing before the wheel but behind the headlamp.
Of course, there's the possibility it's not JDM at all - but the shape doesn't lend itself to that possibility very well. It's too small a car to be American, based on its proportions being similar to the AE86 Trueno, and it doesn't match the appropriate European big-hitters of the time.
I’m going to say that the piazza actually fits the mould so much better than the levin.
And given the fact it has appeared before in the franchise most recently being gt6 in XE form, I’m putting it at the front of the running candidates.
Hilarious seeing some other guesses. Some stuff is just not even close
That's a League of Legends team.Infinity esport ??
Half the cars in GT Sport are N-class cars. What do either of these things have to do with the update?Groupe N ??
The roof's leading edge moves the wrong way in the silhouette compared to the blueprint, and the rear edge changes where it doesn't in the blueprint.Sprinter Trueno and Corolla Levin comparisons...
Mirror looks a little different, Plus the flip up headlight line. Newer Impulse doesn't have the flip ups. Should be a good reveal come Tuesday. Tough call.
The roof's leading edge moves the wrong way in the silhouette compared to the blueprint, and the rear edge changes where it doesn't in the blueprint.
Even so, the Levin's windscreen is shorter than the Trueno but Mystery Middle Car's is longer, while the Levin's roof is the same length but MMC's is longer at the rear.I'd put that down to blue prints of the era not being 100% accurate (or my resizing and realigning of them), and the anti-aliasing caused by the small silhouette image being resized and the fact the lighting in the two silhouette images is different to begin with.
I'll let @homeforsummer post up that 1980s coupe image - he's probably got it under a hotkey somewhereEven with that in mind, I think there's too many things that match, that are ridiculously unlikely to match up by coincidence if the model doesn't use the same bodyshell as the Trueno. I'm certainly not an expert in old Toyota's, so if there's other models that would fit that bill, I'd accept it's not a Levin.
What article where?I read an article saying that a pilot of the ctcc will be presented to the new York world tour of this one being part of the team gilette infinity esport
Mystery car also looks like it has a separate side marker behind the headlights.Even so, the Levin's windscreen is shorter than the Trueno but Mystery Middle Car's is longer, while the Levin's roof is the same length but MMC's is longer at the rear.
If they were moving synchronously the wrong way it'd be fine, but they're moving in opposite directions.

That's entirely in Spanish...
