...I don't see why we shouldn't be able to. It's not really like it'll affect the others' times will it? Well, I suppose if someone posts a wicked low sector time the others might be like "Gee, I better get back in there and run some more laps..." or something

Wasn't this supposed to be a best full-lap posting, since it's a qual round though??

Oh, your qualifying time is a full lap, but in many series people talk about their Sector 2 times, just to have a go at where they are at.

Anyway... best sector 2 is a 31.1 so far, best lap is 31.5...

Wait....how could you possibly have a full lap time of 31.5 with sector 2 alone being 31.1?!?
More than that....how could you possibly have a full lap time of 31.5!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!?

Nevermind  I see now, I think: you're saying that 31.1 is the best Sector 2 time you got in your best full lap...:dunce:
My bad dude!

i didn't get much time to run this one...i was hoping to do more laps then i did. as such, i have a really ****ty time. i think i'll have more time for the race, and future events...i must say that business is a bast@rd when trying to make your own hours while keeping time off for yourself.
My time is in the mail. :shakehead

As the Barenaked Ladies put it: "Who needs sleep?"

I don't get to make my own hours :( and there have been so many requests for OT at my place that I'm mostly at work these days. Shortest shift I've had in two weeks has been 9 hours...

If this keeps up I may have to retire the number and watch from the bench!

32.554 as S2 time. it's that hard left that you have to go through to get a good time. Gotta get positioned for the turn and stay at grip through the turn at speed.

You guys have a good chance at kicking my butt. :D

sorry guys, i'm going to have to withdrawl from the comps. i just don't have enough time to be doing these races.

it was fun while it lasted and good luck to you all

aw MAN....Sorry to see you go, Trojan!

Hmm...Fuji, I know you've already set up the season schedule and everything, and you've really done a great job with it. Tops, really! But if I could make a suggestion?

Perhaps if we reduced the total number of races or spread them farther apart? .....I have to admit, it's going to get tough to follow the race schedule if the overtime keeps up at my work (just speaking for myself here :) ) and I want to try & stay in it as long as I can, but....
Maybe if we reduce the total # of races or spread things out, even those people who are a little strapped for time would be able to stay on with us? It's not going to be much of a series if people have to keep dropping out :( :( :(

Just a suggestion, though! No negative criticism intended :D

After this round, there will be a new schedual. The schedual will be updated in the site. I'll also post it in here after the race. So be sure to check for it so you can set your time to race!

I have the numbers at my house, i'm at school, results won't be up untill later today, central time 4:00pm - 5:00pm

thanks!
FuJi Khang

i for one am all for spreading out the schedule a bit, perhaps one round every two weeks(qualifying from the first friday to monday, race from tuesday to the last friday).
trailer, i hear ya about the overtime...i've been doing all my gt2 playing at 2 and 3 am most nights...then waking up at 7:30 to go to work....can't be doing that for any extended period of time methinks.....lol

i might be able to combine psx and work though; my partners and myself are considering opening an online gaming forum to host races and other forms of video game competitions. i came up with the idea, and now we have to work on the prolbem of getting people to go to our forum.

but i am all for spreading out the schedule, i'm not sure about cutting rounds off(i want a chance to win on people's off days).
ttyl

Yeh, that's very true Mike...Work 11 hours, come home, GT2 for like another 2 hours, tops, then fall into bed to get up again at 7:00 (if I don't whack the snooze bar like 6 times as per usual!  ). That's not going to go on for long. Or my race times will suffer!!
Ever hit a wall at like 140 mph because you fell asleep at the wheel? :blackeye:

But hey, looks like Fuji has taken pity on us poor slobs and there are some changes coming up!! I think your scheduling idea would work quite well, and give greater time to tweak the settings.

Must....eliminate.....0.030 sec....from.....best lap....!

nope, but i did hit a concrete highway divider at 10ish km/h after sliding sideways for about 100 feet...wasn't my proudest moment, but unless you were me or my car it was funny as hell.

Heh, I've still got you beat...I hit a tree and totaled my car because I unconsciously let go of the wheel after turning a corner :dunce:!!!
Long story, but as you said, if you weren't me or the car I bet it looked quite funny. Imagine the car ahead of you coming to a complete and controlled stop at an intersection, turning the corner, then running off the road and accelerating into a tree for no apparent reason....That would be me...

And i thought i was good at midfield...1.5 secs behind...ouch
This sums up my qualify lap--> :lemon: (<---that's a lemon for you slow pokes :P )

congrats folks on finsihing where yas did.

Mike M, What the heck is your last name...lol if your another Mackinnon i'll **** an egg. :D :D :D

i'm hyper and found the smilie collection....268 of them here, atlasf1 only has maybe 50...so i'm in smilie heaven!!!!

Gotta get to 200 posts before wednesday....:spam: time

Wow, suprised to be so far ahead. A 1:06.8 is possible under perfect circumstances..but I couldn't get that close.

I've run a couple of race runs. With my fastest time, out of the nine running laps, I've only got one lap that would not put me on the pole. I think I have a strong chance of being on the podium.;)

ahhh, you suck buddy........jk lol

back in tha day when i was a young whippersnapper like yourself, i was driving circles around the competition racing guys like Fangio, clark, Mclaren, Hill...you don't know competition. Of course that would be circles as in donuts in the sand traps...lol

i'll get yas.... eventually :banghead:

we may have a new racer...........

it's race day!!!!! i must keep ahead in the straight :nervous:

oh well, this track is too STRAIGHT.........needs more turns!!!!

hehehe

...one get into this series? Is it too late, or can I just jump right in? If it's too late, I guess I'll just look for another series, but if I can get in, let me know ASAP!!!

Holla!

i'm not one to say officially that your in, but i'd say there's a decent chance. Talk to fuji to see if he'll let you in, he's the administrator for this series.
Ya missed round one, and prolly this round, but its all for fun. don't sweat it if your accepted.

take a boo around http://www.geocities.com/fuji_racing to see if there's any info about late signups.

off topic: that's the 4th time i've caught myself posting a new thread instead of a reply....my eyes are forgetting where to send the hand with the mouse to click.
