GTC parts & upgrades still have to come. I'm also planning a little tool that can show you which car you've put in which slot in the GTC garage, identifying the slot by it's original carname, so you can quickly find the right car if you've been toying around with your GTC garage. May do the same for the GT3 garage.

When I've added the GTC parts, I'll be adding some compare features.
will the parts be in GS or CB format ?

Same as they are now for the GT3. Not actually sure what you mean but I guess you refer to something in MKS. It's really not very interesting as the Replay Manager is not a Garage Editor and so all that counts is that the names are in there correctly. But internally I use the GT3 format that you can see also in MKs.

need parts an car codes in CodeBreaker format

Well why don't you just boot up MKS with the parameter GTC then, load up a GTC garage, rightclick on a car and choose "Show as GS" ...

prefers NOT to use GS, had nothing but problems therein

Yeah well I don't know CodeBreaker and I don't know its format. I have an Action Replay v2 but I don't even use that much, just the X-Port v2.

Recent additions:

11 april
- original final drive and Power Multiplier added to carview
- added a progress bar which shows file scanning progress
- added a custom option for the car view for which you can design your own HTML page
- rewritten a large bit of carinterpretation and added all the parts to the xml model, so they can now be used in the car description files separately in the above.
- tried to make it more robust against non-gt saves. You may still get the occasional warning, but the program should continue running
- posted a new screenshot

download on top of the previous version?

You can download on top or delete the previous ... If you download on top of the old version just make sure that the old files are overwritten, sometimes they're not by default.

Should I delete the older version will my games saves an files be deleted also ?

Well, that kinda depends on where you keep your gamesaves. If you keep them in the same folder or one of the subfolders of the application (which you shouldn't), then yes. But otherwise, no. If you want to be save though, you can just leave the old application there and just make sure that when it ask "overwrite existing/older file" you just click yes.

All I did was this....

D/L the files to my desktop.

Clicked the .NET thingy first and it didn't look like it was doing much but something happened I don't know

Then I extracted the Bin folder to my desktop

Clicked into the bin folder and saw loads of icons and 2 other folders ...

Found the application icon called RManager and clicked that!

That was that, it worked for me :D Simple :P

THANX SOOOO MUCH lotus350 !!!
:D By holding "boom's" hand you also lead ME thru it!!! (I'm about as computer literate as a Brick.) Got a friend with HI-Speed to download the .net program to CD in 3 Minutes versus the 2.75 hours it was taking @56k!!! Then reloaded Arwin's program & still got no where. Your step-by-step saved the day, THANX AGAIN!!!

THANX ARWIN !!! 👍

waitin for him to add an editor to the program that will mak it even better

Don't hold your breath for that editor though - we've got MKS for that and I've got lots of stuff on my to do list before I could even consider making ANOTHER editor, which for now I'm definitely leaving an MK exclusive. He did so much work on it and I'm not about to rip his work off as a reward. Instead, I'm going to concentrate on things that are not yet available, such as a challenge manager with a replay validator.

@UB57: glad you like it!

you'll figure out something, its the challenge you enjoy

Hey All,

If anyone's interested, I made a new skin for the Custom Car Details window (Right Click > Car > Details > Custom) in Arwin's April 11th update (also for the Replay Details window, not it Arwin's update).

customcar.gif

customreplay.gif

To try out the CustomCarDetails Skin:

1. In your browser, go here .
2. From the menu, choose File > Save As ...
3. Save over CustomCarDetails.htm in your Replay Manager's Bin directory. OR Save over CarDetails.htm in the Bin directory to make the new skin the default one.
4. (Optional) You can delete the CustomCarDetails_file directory that the browser created (it should already be empty).

To try out the ReplayDetails Skin:

1. In your browser, go here .
2. From the menu, choose File > Save As ...
3. Save over ReplayDetails.htm in your Replay Manager's Bin directory (this will make the new skin the default and only replay window skin).
4. (Optional) You Can delete the ReplayDetails_files directory that the browser created (it should already be empty).

To test the installation out, open the Replay Manager, load up some saves, then right click on a save, choose Car > Details > Custom or choose Details > Replay

Voila!

Glad to be of help to someone, I'm no computer whizz myself but I do spend a lot of money on useless PC magazines ( not that I use them for anything) :D

Arwin...got your updated version and... 👍 I'm not bothered about an editor you're right that's Mk's stuff there ;)

Luxy...I'll check out your stuff in the next couple of days

MODERATOR... make this thread a sticky ! :P

Nice one, Luxy ... you're the first to pick this up, very nice. :D I'll add the link to a CustomReplayDetails.htm under the Custom button A.S.A.P.

Have you figured out that you can do all the parts if you like too? Combined with what you know and by looking at 'all replay details' you can probably figure it out. All you need to know is that you can leave out the Replay part. So if you see:

Replay.Parts.Tyres.Front
Simulation Race

Then if you want the "Simulation Race" to appear somewhere, you just put [{Parts/Tyres/Front}] at that spot.

I've just finished adding the pictures for the concept cars, and I'll add your custom versions as default custom details, they're good examples. Eventually I think I probably just should let you drop your own 'skins' into a folder and then automatically link to them in the pop-up window, but I'll think that out properly - you'll want to be able to determine the size of the window as well, otherwise it will be restrictive.

Oh by the way, in your download instructions- it's much easier if you just right click on 'here' and then choose save as from there. It saves you a bit of browsing and you don't get the extra folder.

EDIT: Done ... the new version is being uploaded as we speak. Should be done uploading about 15 minutes after the edit date of this post. ;-)

Glad everyone likes the skin! :D :D

Arwin, thanks for the tip about the "all replay details," it's like a gold mine!

You're right about the window size, too. A suggestion: can you make the details open in a regular browser window, instead of the .NET window? Then we'd have access to all the window properties through JavaScript ( I'm thinking window.resizeTo(w,h); ).

I think I can manage that, I just read about it. ;) I just want to be able to control the windows somehow if possible and I don't like that I'm losing the (still to be developed) icon for that car, but we'll see. There's a lot to be said for realtime resize options for the skinner. :)

EDIT: I posted a new version which opens the details in the default browser. It's only in the no images download currently. Give it your best shot. :)

Awsome, Arwin. Thanks.

One more teensy, weensy request :D

Can you get rid of the chrome (address bar, menu bar, etc)? You can't get rid of that stuff with JavaScript for a window that's already open (i.e. I can only get rid of it if my script is what's opening the window).

I'm gonna try to put together a nice, compact custom skin that displays a good mix (read: stuff you can change without hybriding) for the 'all replay data' stuff.

Arwin,

What programming language is it that the html files are using to display the values (and where would I look if I wanted to learn a bit of it)? Is it possible to using if statements or process strings?

Also, the HP value in Parts.Engine seems to be bhp (i.e. before tuning) ... is the actual HP available? Also is there a value that represents the state of the car's oil?

No more questions for at least an hour, I promise!
