I thought there were no more rain races left.
I'm actually done with GT6. My PS3 is going up for sale. I get my Thrustmaster T150 in the mail from UPS this next Thursday and I'm going back to racing on PCars. The weather physics are messed up in GT6 and some just don't want to believe they are. That stupid monsoon at brands hatch was rediculous. You should be able to get some kind of grip with rain tires, but when the the track goes to 100% surface water it's like driving on ice. Not real at all. I don't need any comments on the weather in this game either, no one can convince me that it's okay because it's never been right. It was messed up in GT5 and GT6. I do love this series though Stephen. :D :cheers:

Totally agree about the physics!! The worst thing about the game in my opinion!! I love the series and will be racing in the next one!! Work permitting of course!!
 
In , but I will park in the pit iff the weather acts like at brands hatch , like TNT wrote , Iam very sorry too see you stop totally TNT :-(

I just might make it to the last race SRT if the T150 works good on GT6. I have to keep recalibrating my G27 about twice a month now. At Brands Hatch it was off to the left a bit and didn't help that it poured a monsoon. My new job had me working and doing my training during the Midfield race, which I didn't want to miss, I was pretty fast there last season.
The biggest reason for not returning is the big lack of support from PD and them not doing more for the game that needs done, like updated cars and fixing the weather in it. Most games out now for the PS4 are getting lots of support, fixes and updates. Something that PD hasn't done much with GT5 through GT6. It's sad because both GT5 and GT6 have been my favorites.

You are sadly right on your opinion there TNT , I'am also amazed that nothing has been done too solve issues in the game , that has been there since day 1 :banghead:

Outside Track limits
Any driver that runs outside the track limits with all 4 wheels must lift off completely from the throttle and wait until a minimum of 2 wheels are back inside the track limits before using the throttle pedal.
The track limits are defined by the white line running around both edges of the track.
This will be to stop the cutting of corners and running wide.
The kerbs are outside the white track limit lines and are not part of the track.

The only exception to this rule will be made if a car is forced by another car outside or they are avoiding an accident.

If your car runs very wide and you have no momentum to rejoin the track without using the throttle you are permitted to do so if your car speed falls below 30mph 48kph and you can only then gain a speed of 30mph 48kph until 2 wheels are inside the track limits.

Any driver that does not adhere to the rules will face penalty points for each incident.

We have read it, and that is what we did, lifted off briefly to make sure you dont gain time.
I went outside a few times, by about half a meter, a brief lift on the throttle and I have 2 wheels inside again.

Anyway, I thought I'd share a race race report from my point of view.:)
First stint went smooth enough, me and Mike took off and got a good gap to 3'rd, but I was stupd enough to do a overtake manouver right as I was about to pit, so I had to brake to avoid crashing into mike coming into the pits. lost a bit of time. but in the pits I had a stroke of genius, I went straight to full wets and skipped the inters. when I came out of the pits aughablo had closed the gap, and I was angry because I lost the time coming into the pits. then aughabo flew by, and just took off, and I was worried he was gonna be unstoppable, but then 2 laps later, I was rapidly closing in on him, and I realized he was on inters, and at that point I knew if I did not do any mistake, I would win easily.
Aug and Mike came in for full wets, and from here on it was a very lonely race for me, but atleat I had some alonetime to work on my lines, and even if a spun a few times, I managed to pull away from them even more.



Edit: @Ade Till : that was some very agressive blocking, a bit over the line in my opinion, and then I saw you do the same to Mikey and Aughabo... try to be a little bit more carefull next time ok? :)

I have to say Ade, you were a bit too aggressive in blocking in my opinion, you were fine with me as we were in a close race, but i did notice you being a bit more than that with some of the others.
I like the fact you dont give up your place easily, but just something for the future, as often when you get a bit over agressive then they do too and it can lead to bad feelings.

i'm aggressive if someone's aggressive to me ...
to me you were too agressive , your car was fast in the straights but you kept losing big time in the corners (came from beeing aggressive i think) ...
+you were bit laggy on my screen ...


i'm not saying this to you in a negative way , i like to drive against people that race hard , but clean .
 
I drive as fair as possible, I yielded a few times when I thought I'd gone off road or impeded someone's progress but I'll defend my position and take a defensive line if need be.....
So DrAug,are you saying your aggressive lunge up the inside of me and hitting me was a deliberate aggressive move against me?

You are allowed to drive defensively. (its encouraged)
But you are not allowed to actively block someone.

What that means is you can choose whatever line you want, but you have to stick with it. if you take the inside line (defensive), you have to stick to that line, leaving room on the outside. if you go all the way out to the cerb on the exit when a car is besides you, that would be a block, and is not allowed.

I like the fact that you race for position no matter who you are racing, and I dont think it was too bad in this race, atleast not against me. I just feel it was a little bit over the line, thats all.

Damn, you are right, most of the series we have run have been 12 rounds with 2 dropped scores, but this series was 9 with 1 dropped score, DAMN i will have to recalculate, sorry, lol

Understood, I will watch my driving . This is my first time 'serious' racing.
 
ade , in my opinion i really did what i had to .
i mean you were fast , probably faster than me .but you kept losing time , and recovering from small mistakes by rejoigning driving line as i was there(others sometimes) , i avoided at least 3crashes behind you ... i truly think it might come from our web as you were the only one bit laggy on my screen ... i once tought you couldn't see me on track ..

i'm not a dirty driver but this dangerous/dirty pass had to be made to avoid more danger that's my opinion .

now what your driving shows to me is that you're truly competitive, and plus , that you had a great improvement in the last months, well weeks at least . so keep pushing! you will win races , a lot .
