GT4 Bugs

I dont know if this was acctually posted here, but I dont want to read 32 sites :crazy:

Theres an transmission bug in GT4.

I took for example the Audi R8.
Go to the car settings an in the transmission part. Put the "Last Gear" (not the 6th gear, that whats under it :sly: ) and scroll all the way right (must be at 4000 now).
Then turn the Autoset to the Max (right). After that, scroll the Last Gear all the way left (2000).

Now you can drive about 300 kph in the 1st gear :dunce:
 
i just tried that trick with braking out at the nordschleife pit exit but its pretty hard... i always brake through the barrier bewteen pit and race track, i cant manage to out the big wall...

any pics of somebody driving around the F1 circuit of the nurburgring??
 
Is it even possible to drive to the GP circuit? :confused: It looks like the glitch is broken as soon as you pass over any part of the track, which you would obviously need to do in order to even reach the F1 track.
 
thats true wolf, but i saw somewhere a pic, where someone broke out with a BMW 320i Touring car, just at that barrier which connects the Nordschleife with the F1....i'm gonna look for it :)
 
Ahhhhhhhhhh! i got a bug, or something like that. can somebody help me please??? one day i turn on my PS2 and it wont load my GT4! and every other game i have works! so i thought it was my GT4 disc, and got another GT4 disc off a friend and it would'nt load that one either! so it's obviously my PS2, but it does'nt affect any of my other games!! has anyone else had this problem? help me, i cant live without GT!!!!!:nervous:
 
maybe yours ps2 doesnt wanna play your gt4 anymore...you played it too much :D lol no

i dont know, never heard about that prob ;(

Step one: Calm down.
Step two: Go into the disc/memory card browser screen, put the GT4 disc in, and see if your PS2 says "Disc Read Error."
Step three: If it does give you the DRE message, follow this link -- http://arstechnica.com/articles/paedia/hardware/ps2.ars -- or search for "PS2 disc read error" on Google and look at one of the other many links that pop up.

Yes. It's pretty much a given that if you own a PS2, this is going to happen eventually. My friends and I are down to one working PS2, out of an original five, even after cleaning/adjusting the lasers.
 
I don't know whether anybody has had this. Took the Subaru 360 to the test track for redlining testing in a-spec mode and the game went into b-spec. The only thing I could do was quit and turn off the ps2 and try again. Then it was fine. Weird!!

Dont know if this has been noticed before - I tried searching a fair bit. Had a go at the MG Festival - then I realised that the car in the background is not quite an MG:

You are being mostly facetious, of course.

There would be no reason to expect the implementors to have modeled the F1 circuit, except perhaps as two-dimensional long distance scenery (similar to the castle). So, alright, I suppose you might be able to drive to the two-dimensional scenery representation of the F1 circuit, but it would be unlikely you could "drive around" it.

Okay, I guess if someone could get a screenshot or perhaps even photoshoot of a car positioned on the GP track, it would be sort of neat. You can get good views of the track if you look hard enough, without breaking out.

Hello all

it's the 3ª time that I see this screen in my game!
the load began in red and no work noting, the solution is RESET.
I don't know if the problem is the game or the PS2
you already see this, or not?

If it has the little spinning red clock, it's probably the disc. Mine did that so I took it in to the shop to get it buffed out. That fixed it at first but eventually it started doing it again.

EDIT: I see the clock in your picture. Take the disc to the video store to be buffed.
 
be careful if you have a slimline, (and probably the big ones) the ps2 can do evil things to your gt4 disc, it but a big crack in mine and that was that, and my friend, he can only play gt4 because he can't get the disc out

or it could be the other way around gt4 can also do evil things to your ps2, for me they damaged each other

If by "points" you mean A-spec points, that's not a bug. You can never collect more than 200 points in total for any particular race no matter how many times you win it. See one of the many A-spec threads for more information.
 
Sort of a bug, sort of not:
The Honda S2000 LM (the red/blue/purple one) has #33 on the bonnet, but #30 everywhere else on the car.

Also, on High Speed Ring, you can cut through the pit lane by going through the cones. You won't be forced to pit or even slow down!

How would YOU feel if YOU couldn't move because YOU didn't have enough strength in your legs? What if, to get moving to go anywhere, YOU needed a push? WHat if everytime YOU stopped, you couldn't start again? I think you owe Mr. Citroen an apology, no?

(@2CV: He really didn't mean it... yes it's OK. He's just a little... you know... loopy?)
 
I noticed that when I try to break out of seattle in GT4, All I could do is get stuck halfway in the walls. I miss the break out glitches. :( I did them all the time so when I drive next to the board it looks like I'm flying an airplane up in the sky. :lol: I hope GT5 has glitches too... :)

You have to do the complete race in A-spec mode to get any A-spec points. Even 1 lap in B-spec and you will get no points for the race.

The 98.2% glitch in gt2 is'nt a glitch you need to complete each race in event synsizer (begginer, intermediate, hard, expert) once to get 100% eveen though not gold thropies come up.

Like a few others have said, the camber on the Shelby looks stupid but is'nt a glitch.

Your right, thats how i got 100% in a PAL version with English as the selected language :)
 
Recently I got some glitches, when I do A-spec races, the replay after the race is in 2x or 3x speed; the scrolling text in tuning menus, racing menus or car info doesn't scroll... I think all of this happened after trying my USB memory for a few photos.

HEY HOW DID YOU GET THE "POWERBAND" TO DISPLAY NUMBER-INFO??? Sorry for the allcaps. Dude how did you do it? Which version of the game do you have? Power gridds in my game just show the squiggly lines but no numbers.

Edit: never mind....i had no idea you can click on the actual power chart. Learned something new. :)
 
Can anyone with a bigger screen confirm this?
I'm currently racing the nurburgring 24hrs with the Toyota Altezza Touring Car

I never noticed it before, but the rev meter is wrong
It sais 0 - 2 - 4 - 8 - 8 - 10
There's an 8 instead of a 6 :)

But i'm playing on a rather small tv, so i could be mistaken (but i'm 90% sure it's wrong)

edit:
the speed dial is wrong too.
It says 180 - 200 - 240 - 200 - 320
but again, could be the small monitor.

btw, i have the eu pal version
