I asked this earlier but never got a response. The cars that are prizes for the licenses tests. Are they availible other places in the game ala GT3 or is that the only way you can get them ala GT2? I'm not so hot at the license tests and all silver or gold is usally out my range except for the lower ones. thanks for any info on this.

No the license prizes are all barring the Nike One only availble once to the best of my knowledge, there might be another available elsewhere but in general the answer is no.

All I got to say about the Formula GT Championship is "hell yeah!!!".

A series of full length Grand Prix's, I mean that the premise of some FULL Playstation2 games!!! (2004 F1). Ok, it's not on the actual F1 circuits, but you could argue that this series has a greater variety of circuit types...

Personally I don't think it's "artificial absolutely unnecessary prolongating playtime". An F1 'Championship' Series should be over GP length events, I had wondered just WHY they'd dropped "Mistral 78" from the Endurance Hall section, I guess we now know why...

GT4 continues to amaze me in size and the amount of time it will take to complete in "A-Spec".

Nice to see another F1 fan appreciating the length of this series. Plus, what other game on the PS2 can you drive flat out in a modern day F1 car on the 'Ring!

It looks like PD finaly is doing the F1 cars justice. I can't wait to try it. What needs to be completed to unlock the F1 races?

I may have skipped it, but does anybody know what race has to be won to win the carbon gtr? Thanks.
I'm not sure and could'nt wait, So I simply Bought it! 👍 More than likely it's available in the Manufacturer races if you want to win it.

From the looks of 1twojay's list on page 1, you'll need to win the Nurburgring 24 Hours first ...

Well, I'm aware of another way that also involves some serious madness. That's the Formula GT Championship.
Let me describe it :
15 races
Laps Track
60 Tokyo
127 Motegi (Super Speedway I guess)
74 New York
77 High Speed Ring
62 Grand Valley
23 La Sarthe
78 Côte d'Azur
113 Seoul
76 Infineon
85 Laguna Seca
64 Motegi (the normal track)
15 Nurburgring
64 El Capitan
67 Fuji 2005
53 Suzuka

At least, you can save after each track, but it's still mad
And considering you don't have the F1 to do it... I'm wondering if a Sauber C9 will be enough to win
Better let the PS2 24h on and win it with B-Spec on the Nurb
At least that's an improvement over the Enduros (why DIDN'T they include saving during Enduros anyway? To make it more of an Endurance Race?...) Can't wait to try it out, the current F1 calendar is rather boring ... mind you, strictly speaking, they aren't F1 cars, more of a "Formula GT" (hence the name) because they're all relatively identical ...

EDIT: Looking at the list, I think I'd prefer something other than the High Speed Ring ... Tsukuba, anyone? And does La Sarthe have the chicanes or not?

Do you race?

IMO, I think Midfield would've been a better option than High Speed Ring (of which I personally don't see what all the fuss about), or even Tsukuba. RRV if it had made it to GT4 would've even been a better choice...

From what I know, it's not available as a prize car. So you must buy it from Amuse. :) It's only 250,000CR (Asian version) so it's pretty cheap. Just do the Almafi EASY rally once and you'll have almost enough for it.

High Speed Ring is simply classic Gran Turismo :). It was most likely the first track people raced on in GT1 since it was the first track in arcade mode. And it provides a fun highspeed race with a few turns instead of the usual oval stuff 👍

Just looking at the list of tracks used for the Formula GT Championship, you'll notice they're all either Real Tracks (eg La Sarthe) or City Tracks (Seoul Central), EXCEPT High Speed Ring. So Midfield wouldnt really be that great a choice (and Tsukuba doesn't reall do that much for me) ... maybe Opera Paris would be a better choice - or even Georges V Paris, a Night F1 Race in a Real City would be great, it looks wide enough to have six cars racing!

spooony
George V Paris is a tarmac rally track and it's actually very tight throughout most of the course.
Damn ... Opera Paris then, I guess, unless someone has a better idea for a city-based or real-world track? ...

Just a note, the Subaru race is the "Race of Pleiades".

Subaru is the Japanese for the star cluster Pleiades, on which the Subaru logo is based upon. Sorry, I used to drive an Impreza... haha :P

TheCracker if he's not intelligent enough to search for the answer when it's pretty easy to find within 1 minuet of looking don't answer him. ;).

Search and ye shal find, it's not like theres no thread called official japanese car list which contains the official car list for the Japanese version of GT4 which is the same as the Chinese and Korean versions by the way.

Not sure if this was answered yet. But my question about the prize cars is that... can we repeat the races, and keep earning the prize car? Because a common annoyance I had with the past GT's, is that you can win a race, but only earn the prize car once, and it was annoying as hell.

JER_CREST
If you say that there are 3 Ferrari's in GT4 please post pictures of them.
He's kidding, there are no Ferraris, Lamborghinis, or Porsches in GT4, learn to search people... This has been covered more times than Michael Jackson has... nevermind.

This has been answered many times so if you want an explanation of how you'll have to look cos I can't be be bothered, but the simple answer is yes you can re-win prize cars for the single race events as well as series events.

Does anyone know what happened to the proposed VW Passat W8 or V6 4Motion? They were confirmed at one point, but I have yet to se either in a prize list or car list. Did they get scrapped? I certainly hope not, my folks drive one...:nervous:

LOL, good post 'cream of the cr@p' more like. Those are some of the most shocking Ferrari's.

I dont see why people are so desperate to see ferraris in the game anyhow, take a 640bhp RX7 Spirit R drifting and you will forget you ever wanted one LOL.
