I wanted one of the the Speed 12 GTS's I think they were fantastic, not reliable enough to win the Priviledge cup but when they won, they won, they shouldv'e at least put in one of the current Tuscan 440R race cars. Also I'm dissapointed with PD's choice of Marcos cars, of all the Marcos's made, they choose the Mini Marcos as the car to put in GT4, the bloody Mini Marcos. I've got nothing against that car but when you look at some of the awesome road and race machinery thats wore that badge the Mini Marcos seems somewhat insignificant.
you know, i've thought about this, even with gt3. I think pd chooses cars from europe and u.s. (and Aussies) that wont make their domestics look bad. 385 HP ZO6 instead of 405 HP Pontiac Vibe instead of WS6, SHO instead of SVT Supercharged cobra, 215 HP neon instead of 240 HP... I could do the same with Brit cars Sagaris, Nobles, Ascaris.........

Excellent point. 👍

A little untrue though, there are American and European cars that will kill the Japanese equivilents, the Saleen S7 for example is a true Supercar and only the Nissan R390 road car is in that class from Japan and that in stock trim isn't as fast(unless the GT-One road car is in too, but I've not seen or heared of it). The Ruf's are fantastic, the TVR Speed 12 is the fastest stock road car in the game (if it's performance is true to life, unlike GT3 where it couldn't even hit 150Mph stock and the single road model wasn't limited). Also we have the Mercedes McLaren SLR :D, the Caterhjam Fireblade which will eat any other small sportscars in the game for tea. The Ford GT whic is a Ferrari beater, the BMW M3, M3 CSL and M3 GTR strassversion, not exactley poor performers are they. Back to TVR the Cerbera Speed six, Tuscan speed six, T350C and Tamora are all fantastic performers compared to any Japanese equivilents (if there are any). The problem isn't the spec of the cars included from Europe and America, it's the number of cars, as far as I'm concerned Marcos might as well not be in and they couldve added a Sagaris or Typhon but then you have that question. Would PD have been allowed to add these cars that we all wanted but are missing, and if so at what cost.

Also we have the Mercedes McLaren CLR.
Eh?

Incidentally, I just raced against the all white (no stripes) ford GT that features in the title screen. Must be a special prize. Also, are people aware of the re-modelling of the RX7 LM and the FTO LM. I may try and USB upload some photo-mode pics.

A typo, SLR. An no I've not seen the new FTO LM and RX7 LM so pics would be appreciated.

Ok, USB transfer was successful. Now to find out how to take a photo mid race so that I can upload the revised LM cars.

I think you press select to take photo's mid race. I've nerver tried though, I've never watched a replay even.

I think this is true to a degree, I can't help but think PD always try & show the Japanese cars in the best light possible & seem to include the US/Euro cars etc... for the sake of throwing us a bone, particually with the rally cars (e.g. '99 206 rally car versus 2004 Impreza). I know GT4 is a Japanese game but they should cater for all countries as it is a global game & they themselves have benefitted from it, its a long time since GT1.

So far with GT4 from what I've seen I'm dissapointed that relatively few 'normal' European 2nd hand cars have been included. The Fiat Panda & Volvo 240 come to mind, but there isn't many more than that. I really hope this is ammended for the PAL release. Can't say I've even noticed any 'normal' 2nd hand US cars...

Don't even get me started on the number of Skylines...

405 hp Pontiac Vibe? You're kidding, right? Certainly there have to be some American cars worth mentioning other than that turd. I'm sure when the history of sweet chassis is written the Vibe/Matrix platform will not be listed in index. In my opinion, most of the current American cars will go down in history like a fart on a radar screen.

That's not to say there aren't some glaring oversights in the historical cars included in GT4: The dawn of prehistoric motors is a nice tip of the hat, but why no vintage racing Bentleys of the 1920's and 30's?! Why no open cockpit Indy cars (they've been racing there since what, 1907?!!), not just modern ones? Why no Aston Martin DB5? Why no vintage Alfa Romeos from pre-war years? It seems like you may get more people interested in some historic motorsport if you cover more of the highspots of the past. You could have cut the Lancer/Skyline/Impreza lists by 25% to add some machinery that seriously needs to be considered.

Hello,

Mission Hall, completing 1 to 10 (included) gives you a DMC DeLorean S2 '04

On Special Condition Hall, the first 2 should be :

Rally d'Unbria Easy - Cadillac CIEN '02
Rally d'Caburi Easy - Toyota RSC rally raid car '02

Oh, btw, I should be Umbria (Citta di Aria) and Capri (Costa di Amalfi), but that's a little detail :dopey:

QUESTION:

Are there car restrictions on any of the endurance races?

Because I am guessing the 300 Kilometre and 200 Mile races will be a little short time-wise if they let you use any cars on them?

1twojay, is that it?
All the events!

So what else is there to do, event wise.

Seems to me a whole lot of re-running events is going to be necessary to build up a substantial garage for OLRs

call me crazy, but in my game I have 16 endurance events...

there are only 13 listed in the prize listing. I'm at work, and don't have access to the game right now.. so I can't really say what's missing, but I'm pretty sure that 3 are.

(if this has been discussed earlier in the thread, I apologize)

Circuit de la Sarthe2 - Bentley Speed8

Whoa, lame. The CITY COURSE, POWER & SPEED, ORIGINAL COURSE, REAL CIRCUIT are Family Cup only?! How many races are in each one?

From what 1twoj states I believe there are no race series in these categories.
They are just a place to go for a free race against a similar family of car, hence family cup.
There are no prize cars.
This is also the place for free run, Photo drive, and test day with other cars.

Mukai is the Le Mans endurance Race really 24hours long???....in real time??? OMG
live4speed
unless the GT-One road car is in too, but I've not seen or heared of it
what!?...you never heard of the GT-One ROAD CAR????WTF??...you know every manufactuer at le Mans had to bring out at least 1 road car and ALL(Porsche, Mercedes and Toyota) did!!! and while the other manufactures were making their GT1 cars "more comfortable" so that they got FAT(over 1000kg!)or just lost some PS(porsche:580PS!) THE GT-One kept all its specification->equal to the race car(except those advertisments)!!!

so GT-One road car(you can find it in GT2/3/4 with all specs!):600PS----900kg-----351km/h on mulsanne---very efficient and good AERODYNAMIC---and the perhaps one and only ROAD Car with such a HUGE FRONT DIFFUSOR!!!(look pic!!!)

here some info/pics:

http://perso.wanadoo.fr/gtjaponaises/GTONE.htm

i would call this road car(at the moment) teh fastest road car on earth(only bugatti perhaps is faster but if the GT-One had about 800PS---cause that would be enough---it would easily drive 400KM/H, too!!!!...i drove about 400 IN`GT3 with the race car on test course;>)...i hope now you know sth about "THE MOSNTERRRR"

I didn't say I've never heared of the car, I said I hadn't heared or seen anything of it being in GT4. I know all about the GT-One road car. But Toyota only needed to make one of them because the rules and classes changed, normally I think the rquierment was at least one car for each year the car was racing or for each evolution of the race car it was one or the other.

oh sorry, i misunderstood.....and i thought......
but you´re right i haven´t heard of the Road car, too!!...so do you think they left it out??...that would be verrrry stupid cause this car was since GT2 in the game(and graphically it´s the same car as the race car just without adverts!!)so PD left it out or why we don´t get any footage/vids or posts about that car?

It's not in the new cars gallery, it won't be in the used cars and I've not seen it in the prize lists, so it doesn't look hopeful.

heh?...you´re kidding!
the R390 road car is there, too so why not the toyota?...i knew it all the time KAZ HATES TOYOTA´S-->ESPECIALLY THE GT-One!!!
