The screenshot of the 1969 Isuzu Bellett GT-R doesn't show a price, so it must be a prize car. But it's not on the prize car list. So how do you get it?

It probably appears in the used cars dealerships.

It probably appears in the used cars dealerships.

But even if it's in the used car dealership and it's not a prize car, shouldn't it have a price? Or am I missing something here?

edit: Or am I just being impatient?

No, some cars are showcased in the dealership, but asre only available for purchase in the used cars sections, others are prizes and some are secret ie not shown at all.

Can someone answer a question I have about the prize cars? When you win a series, and get a prize car, is it the same system that was used in GT3? Are there several cars in the shadows, and the selector randomly picks a car to give to you, or is there only one prize car that can be won per series? Thanks :)

Only 1 per series, and if you want you can go back and re-run the series and win the prize again (there is apparently an option whenyou goto run a series you have already won, yet i'm so slow that i am struggling to get series done once, let alone twice) :)

I see. Thanks for the answer.

Does anyone know if, for example in the 24 hour Nuburgring race, can you exit the race, and the re-enter it, where you left off? (sort of how you can leave a series, but it doesn't force you to quite the series, you can resume it). The reason I ask is, what happens if you end up with a colour on the Polyphony Digital Formula Gran Turismo '04 car that you don't want? Is there any way to choose the colour of your prize cars?

I doubt you can choose colors, in GT1 and 2 I had to redo races often to get it in both colors. Can you imagine doing the 24 hour endurance races again to get another color?

I'm afraid you can't leave those races either without having to restart it either, nowhere a save option was confirmed... SUCKS!

It's an informative list, but you left out the Caddy Cien prize when you win the Rally D'Unbria Easy race. Nevertheless, thanks for putting up the list.

Also, is there any chance for somebody to list the prize cars you win in the mission hall?

Thanks.

1 to 10 = DMC DeLorean S2 '04
11 to 20 = JayLeno Tank Car '3
21-24 = Pagani Zonda LM Race Car '01
25-29 = Toyota 7 Race Car '70
30-34 = Nissan R89C Race Car '89

You're welcome :sly:

I remember reading a list of the proposed cars for GT4 some months ago that included a couple of F1 cars from the fifties/sixties from makers such as Lotus and Alfa Romeo. Any sign of these anywhere yet?

Great thread, it has been really helpful since I got the game last week.
Now I have played the game a fair bit I cant help thinking the 24 hour endurances are a joke - I mean who ever has time to that?!?! Even on B-spec with 3x accelerated speed its going to be horrendous.

Also has anyone found an easier way to get the F1 car as I just dont fancy doing Nurburgring 24 hours to get it!!

Cheers, Anthony.

Well, I'm aware of another way that also involves some serious madness. That's the Formula GT Championship.
Let me describe it :
15 races
Laps Track
60 Tokyo
127 Motegi (Super Speedway I guess)
74 New York
77 High Speed Ring
62 Grand Valley
23 La Sarthe
78 Côte d'Azur
113 Seoul
76 Infineon
85 Laguna Seca
64 Motegi (the normal track)
15 Nurburgring
64 El Capitan
67 Fuji 2005
53 Suzuka

At least, you can save after each track, but it's still mad :scared:
And considering you don't have the F1 to do it... I'm wondering if a Sauber C9 will be enough to win :dopey:
Better let the PS2 24h on and win it with B-Spec on the Nurb.

64 laps at El Capitan looks plain easy compared to the other races. There should be an engine swap option because it is going to be thrashed by the end of the c'ship oil changes will not be enough.

Definitely not. I don't think even an Audi R8 would be able to do it. The reason I say this is, despite the F1 car being slower in a straight line due to the drag created by the downforce it generates, the F1 cars are several seconds per lap quicker (on any track where top speed is not a deciding factor). The only track that a Le Mans car could potentially take a victory would be on Motegi Speedway, any other track the F1 car would walk away, even if you had a fully tuned C9, R8, or whatever. Just go try it in GT3, on, let's say, Cote d'Azur, or Grand Valley, and I can guarantee you will get a headache from the F1 cars teasing you, tricking you into thinking you have a chance on the straight aways, only to be shown up in the corners, and even more prominently, the braking zones.
Actually, come to think of it, you could potentially win in a quick Le Mans car on the 'Ring, that is, if the F1 cars are the same as in GT3, they only have "medium" slicks, and those would wear out within one lap on the 'Ring I would presume, so with a good strategy on the 'Ring, you could use super-hard tires, and stay out longer, and potentially take a win that way, but any other tracks, it would be very frustrating.

I hate this artificial absolutely unnecessary prolongation of playtime!
the professional league of GT3 was the worst example for that!
