There is no official release date but the place i'm likely to be ordering it from says 6th February.
Not likely, as friday is generally the release day for games in this country. If it's february it'll be the 4th, 11th, 18th or 25th.

can you tell me if there is a link were you can see the bonus cars from gt4, already saw the 'initially available' and the 'used cars' link but i think the bonus cars are the most fascinating now, heck maybe that rx-7 is a bonus car...

does anyone knows anything about the great silhouette R30 skyline, from gt2? with so many japanese cars, this one should be in, right? but so far, i haven´t spotted... that car was a blast to drive...

It's late so I haven't scanned through maskrider's gallery entirely since it's been redone, but two additions I've found for the list, 359.

Mitsubishi GTO SR '96 (in addition to the '95)
Mercedes SL600 '98 (previous-gen)

From the "Japan carlist"

This is the official car list for Gran Turismo 4 in Japan and most of the rest of Asia. Cars are divided up by manufacturer.

1. Nothing "official" to it.
2. Which are the criteria to which a car must respond to be in that list?

At this moment, "being seen in a demo", without even a screenshot from that demo - let alone from the final Japanese released game - is a criterion. I think this should be marked above the list. If not, people visiting this forum are getting information that is misleading. Which is not good for the credibility of the forum.

People who have the game made screenshots of every car (used, new and prize cars).

Do have any proof of the previous gen. SL600? A great car that is

Hi fellow Belgian, I know. But if you crosscheck these pics with the "official list" some cars are not in these screens.

- so is the Audi Quattro Sport S1 Rally Car only confirmed by Cano, who said that "he saw the 1985 rally quattro during a show in - I believe - LA.
- the Aston Martin V8 Vantage has AFAIK not been seen in a screenshot yet,

As it's just for those cars that one looks for confirmation for in this list, it needs to be a reliable source. Certainly if it's called "the official list".

What are you babbling about? Every car on that list has been seen in the game, with the exception of a few specific cars whose identity are being verified.

Also, can anyone give me the year on the Mugen S2000 in the game?

perhaps he saw the wishlist erm list and thought it was the official.

as far as i can see the only question mark other the official Japanese list is the V8 vantage.

No I don't speak about one of the wishlists.

You know very well what I am babbling about.

Those "few specific cars whose identity are being verified" : they do not belong in an "official list". This makes that one can not look in your list and find out if a car is 100% sure in the game or not. I do not need your list for 99% of the cars, after 1 year of anticipation I know what's in the game, it's just for those few cars like the Vantage, the Quattro Sport, the Corvette Grand Sport, the Griffith (which is 94 in the screens of Maskrider, but 98 in your list).

Well it's not exactly your choice, now is it?

And the Griffit is according to Samberto, who says that a 98 Griffith 500 is used for a license test. I have not seen screenshot from Maskrider of a Griffith.

With my latest update to the list, we just hit an even 700 cars in the game...

Seems like we're getting down to the end of the expected number of cars, yet we seem to be missing a significant amount of vehicles. Didn't it get verified that ALL the cars from past GT's were going to be in, plus new ones?

I really don't think the claim that all cars from previous GTs would be in the game. Especially to think that every car down to specific model types would be in the game...

And I found that '94 Griffith...

@ the359:

what are you waiting for with the 1981 lancer? the correct name?

secondly I see on the list this car: Legacy GT-B ('96) but have not seen it in screenshot yet

Well I'm hoping someone can identify it in the used car section or something, because a correct name would be good. Correct year too.
