I was using 6 as an example. I wasn't saying "Death to all Skyline who bring the total to more than 6".
Yes, the Skyline is the hometown hero, but the GT series is sold all over the world, and accordingly should appeal to people of many countries.
49 is way too much, IMO.

Need For Speed (the original, pre-Underground ones) was sold over the world, correct? The Japanese makes were always under-represented, which was to be expected from a US-based game. I've just come to accept that most games tend to show their cultural preferences due to where the company's based.

Lethalchem said what I was trying to much better 👍. To be honest, one car I've missed for a while was an RT-10 Viper. Or an ACR version. And with the much larger lineup of older american muscle in the game, I'm wondering why PD failed to include a Mustang other than the Shelby.

I understand and accept your point of view.;)

Still, PD have done a great job.👍

List updated again. We're back past 700 again. Shame we apparently wont go too far past 700 though.

About the Skylines, I can live with the variance of models like the GT-R, GT-R N1, GT-R V-Spec, GT-R V-Spec II, GT-R V-Spec N1, GT-R V-Spec Nur and stuff, but it's the fact that we get different model years for the same spec cars that we could do without. There's no need for a 1995, 1996, AND 1997 R33 Skyline GT-R.

Question- will the unconfirmed cars found not to be in the game be obliterated from the list?

Yes, there's no point in leaving a car on the list if it isn't in the game...

The only questionable car I can think of at the moment is the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VII Rally Car (the car that a lot of you see in the top left corner graphic for GTPlanet). Has anyone seen it in the game yet, and if they have, do they have a year?

I also need a year for the FTO LM Edition if anyone gets that.

I dont see Lancer 2000 turbo 81 in the list It is a FWD 168bhp beast with a huge turbo lag and tricky handling THANKS 359 for all your effort EDIT Photo in post 3221

The north american GT4 site listed the 2005 Hyundai Coupé, which has slighly higher power then the 2001 version (which is confirmed in a screenshot).

The 2005 model is not in the new cars section. So I guess we still can expect some surprise prize cars.

2005 model (172 HP, so this would become something like 175 PS)

2001 model (167 PS, Max torque obtained at lower rpm)

Ignoring riki completely, I am too confused as to why there isn't a mustang other than the shelby one. It's not really a case of Please i want one but i'm just surprised there isn't.

The '05 Tiburon was slightly restyled over the previous years version. However the '05 Tiburon wouldn't have been out yet in time for it to be at E3...

actually there are: the new mustang GT, and the Corbra R from GT3.

Its going to be a great game but I was really hoping there would be Lambos in it.

Hardly any games out have any Lambos in them. :(

They are very strinct in licensing the use of their cars, not only in games, but also for scale model manufacturers. Lamborghini currently has (I may be mistaking) given a license to use their cars to EA, and will not in the near future let their cars be used by other game companies (may be wrong again).

Yes.

GT3 Japan had the Lamborghini Diablo JGTC, no Acura RSX, and 6 F1 cars
GT3 North America had no Diablo, but had the Acura RSX and 6 F1 cars
GT3 Europe had no Diablo, but had the Acura RSX and only 2 F1 cars.

Plus there are naming differences for each region.

Oh yeah, Example! The F1 Cars in GT3 had more Variety in the US Version than the Pal Version, The Pal Version did have some way cool colors that were'nt in the US version though!

(((The North American Disc Did have the Diablo on it also!)))

I don't remember seeing that in the game...
:odd:

And if it is true, how would one go about unlocking it?

It has been talked about numerous times on the GT3 forum - go there and do a search and I'm sure you'll get more than enough info on it.

i believe it requires the use of a gameshark/sharkport or Action Replay device, and I know that you have to have an orignal release copy of the game. The PS2 Greatest Hits version has the Diablo completely removed from the disc. I had the original game, whic was then stolen along with my memory card and all other games(hardcore SHAFT). I bought the greatest hits version and the Diablo is nowhere to be found.

Yea the only way to get it is a SharkPort/XPort or Mk's! That means you don't have the Stratos, Stratos Rally Car or the Porche 996/911 or the Viper #51...

Excellent. I'll keep my grumbling to a minimum then until I get the US version. Perhaps there'll be more differences in the car list this time around as well. 👍

Well this is certainly odd. The Audi R8 is apparently available in 2 colors. Egghead's videos confirm that the YELLOW R8 is available as well as the red one...

Thanks for the help. :)

I don't think its worth it though... spending all that money just to unlock a few cars only a few weeks/months (*gulp*, years! :ill: ) before GT4's release is pointless.
