I really don't think the claim that all cars from previous GTs would be in the game. Especially to think that every car down to specific model types would be in the game...

And I found that '94 Griffith...

Damn, if that's the case then they really screwed us Ford lovers. I'm disapointed, but thanks for the info. 👍

I hope it transmogrifies into the V12 Vantage.
IMO the Vantage is by far and away one of the best looking cars ever.

What are you babbling about? Every car on that list has been seen in the game, with the exception of a few specific cars whose identity are being verified.

Also, can anyone give me the year on the Mugen S2000 in the game?

I'm pretty sure it's 2002.

In the guise of a V600, same mistake as in GT3, this is probably the reason why our friend The359 put V600 originally and still has. The wheels and the detailing around the grille are the differences from the outside.
The V8 Vantage has 6 spoke wheels, no chrome detailing around the grille and a 550 bhp engine.
The V600 has 5 spoke wheels, chrome detailing around the grille and a 600 bhp engine.

im really happy at the sheer quantity of nissan skylines pd has managed to squeez into the GT4. After all it is my favorite car
Well done to Ky and all the staff at pd.

You don't think, say, 6 is enough?

It would bother you that the R34 GTR V-spec I is in, but not the V-spec II?

They missed a very important Skyline in my opinion, the Skyline GTS25t (R33).

The V600 did have chrome detailing around the grille available, and it had the small shield emblem on it as well to denote the fact that the V600 is built by Aston Martin's Works Prepared division. You are correct in that it should have 5-spoke rims though (but then again, who knows whose specific car they modeled).

As my post says "The V600 ......., chrome detailing around the grille and a 600 bhp engine." The cars in GT3 and 4 in looks, are V600's, but the engine power and the name is the V8 Vantage.

I admit that 49 is way too many Skylines, but six would be under-representation. PD is a Japanese-based company; the Skyline is the domestic hero for them, and the history of it is long and varied. Since GT4 is apparently about the history of the automobile, having the history of the Skyline seems appropriate. There's way too many from the past 15 years, yes, but six? That would give us what, the first GT-R, an R32, R33, R34, V35, and one JGTC? The people who generally are complaining about the huge amount of Skylines are usually the ones suggesting American cars be represented better. They want every tiny little change for the Camaro or Corvette available. Isn't that just as bad?

Yes, the game's saturated with Skylines. But you have to expect it. Don't like it? Don't buy them. Don't get me wrong; I'd like to see American cars more too. But until PD can make KY's dream of a car encyclopedia real, the fact is the Japanese market will always be the driving force behind the game's lineup. Constantly whining about it won't solve anything.

...49 Skylines......I like Skylines but as ultrabeat said 6 would have been enough or atleast not 49. That is a disgusting amount in my opinion its more Skylines then most games have cars! :dunce:

I think there's a "happy middle ground" that could be had here though. They could cut the number of Skylines in HALF and still have more than any other car (thereby still giving homage to their hometown hero car), yet allow for more slots for cars with equally long histories to be better represented. Yes, like the Mustang. They really pissed that one away in this game. They did fine with the Vette and Camaro, so I don't know what the deal was with the Mustangs.

yeah. I would have been happy with the SVT cobra and the boss 302. but it seems there's only 2 mustangs in the game, and the new mustang GT has really small, goofy wheels. Unless wheel sizes change this time around, it'll look stupid no matter what wheels you stick on it.

I mean, the car has a 40 year heritage, a lot of that in racing, and it has sold many units. There are similar oversights concerning many classic euro cars, and aussies would surely like to see some of their 70s vintage racecars. I hope they get it right next time.

That's ford's problem not PD's. But i do agree about the sorry state of the mustangs this time round, although it may have changed, i last looked at the list last friday.

I was using 6 as an example. I wasn't saying "Death to all Skyline who bring the total to more than 6".
Yes, the Skyline is the hometown hero, but the GT series is sold all over the world, and accordingly should appeal to people of many countries.
49 is way too much, IMO.
