Hmm, such command of the English language. 359, I am not in the habit of posting for kudos, yet I am well pleased to see that the list has now evolved despite your reluctance…

1) It's a Simpsons quote

2) I know what the three cars look like

3) The 911 GT3-RSR was in the PAL Prologue video

4) If you're going to be a rude ass, you can kindly leave.

You’re not taking this all a little too seriously?
Firstly 359, I am aware of the quote. (Jasper)
Secondly, the images were not posted for your benefit.
Thirdly in regard to the RSR, are you referring to the white gt3 cup (with yellow mirrors) that features in the pal bonus disk ‘the making of a driver’? (16.47 secs)

As for rude donkeys, I know not what you speak of…..

Dearest 359, I am reluctant to disappoint your proclivity for belligerence, yet as I mentioned previously- my fundamental endeavour is to further our collective knowledge in order to fashion an accurate and comprehensive list. I would like to believe that an astute individual such as yourself would share the above view.

Goodnight and warm regards to all....

2 full messages like that arn't that bad, it's when people start doing things like this.

1: Is there xxxxx car in GT4

2: If there is will it be available in blue?

3: And do you thing the race mods will return?

ect. That said he did do 3 in a row just before and although it's not too bad, we still encourage him to use the edit button for that.

Samberto: Do you honestly think making yourself appear superior via big words and confused grammar (by current standards) is a good thing? All you're doing is making yourself look idiotic and cocky. Especially with the inclusion of this particular smart-assed statement: "As for rude donkeys, I know not what you speak of….." You may be able to get away with speaking like that, oh, 300 years ago, but around here it is, in reality, looked down upon.

On a lighter note, thanks tons The359 for this excellent list. I respect you not only for your hard work on this subject, and how you've managed to keep your cool most of the time even with the idiots who insist on making posts of no substance. I only wish I could contribute, but it looks like I'm stuck to what ign.com provides me. lol.

On the subject of Ferrari, I submit a quote from an article posted on ign.com: http://cars.ign.com/articles/519/519206p1.html

Sadly, we won't see some vehicles in the mix in 4. When asked about two specific car makers, one German, one Italian, a reluctant Yamauchi answered, "Ferrari and Porsche, [aren't] impossible, but in terms of GT4, it won't happen." Sorry, peeps, no Enzo or Carrera GT this time around. So, the encyclopedia won't be complete until maybe GT5.

Looks like that despute has been put to rest if it hasn't been already.

Glad to (maybe) be of some help. Keep up the great work 359, I'll be following this almost religiously.

We already are aware of that comment but it's nt the end of the dispute, I don't think we'll see them in GT4 but some people like Phantasm put forward very good arguments as to why they might still appear despite that comment.

Is there any news on the Seat front?

Oh, and I hope the Faboud GT is in.

Trying not to add fuel to the fire, but didn't Kaz once say that there would be no F1 cars in GT3, once the rumor came out there was going to be F1 cars in GT3? He could be misplacing the truth quite possibly to surprise us...

Yeah......F1 cars were ment to be a total secret in GT3, even the F1 race series was hidden until super licence had been achieved.......if this was the car, who knows how many secrets there are gonna be in GT4!

It would be great if Prologue gave you some money to spend in GT4...like concept did with GT3.......I think Prologue will definately unlock or do something.....

It doesn't have anything in the game itself, but I'm betting that you can get the first two licenses in GT4 through the prolouge save if you've won all the school mode in it, like in GT2 you could use your GT1 save to get the first two licenses in that.

Here are some images of three newly listed cars...
Nissan R90CP
Honda/Acura NSX face lift
Ferrari 360 Modena

Warm regards,
Sam

Hi, Could you provide me with a Link where the Ferrari is included in the GT4 List? Thanks!

As pointed out by several individuals in various threads, it is an assumption that the vehicles featured in the pal bonus dvd were being tested for inclusion in gt4. At the beginning of the making of a driver, KZ notes that the purpose of the day was for the team to conduct research into how stability control systems work in real cars. However, he follows this statement by suggesting that: ‘I’ll just be happy if at the end of the day the experience rekindles the team’s motivation to create driving games.’
Further, at the beginning of the disc the female narrator states: (for the polyphony team) ‘today is a chance to have fun and learn more about the balance and handling of real cars.’

Hence, if the cars derived from the bonus dvd are to be included on the list, it is arguable that a suitable distinction ought to be made between cars filmed for the dvd and those that were catalogued on the official testing days.

Other cars of note on the bonus dvd:

Audi TT cabriolet (silver)
Porsche GT3 Cup current model (white with black mirrors no.10)
Porsche GT3 Cup previous model (white with yellow mirrors and upgraded rear wing)
shown in previous post
Lotus Esprit (blue face lifted model with round rear lights.)

Warm regards,
Sam

Thanks, I've seen those cars already, I was hoping on some liteature stating Ferrari's are in, Thanks a bunch!

There isn't any literature in favor of Ferraris being in as of yet, but there is literature against that. Ferraris are only on the list because of those photos.

From May 2004 (the date of the article from IGN.com) untile November 2004 thats alot of time between the release of the game and the article , I think any thing could happen during this time.

another thing about the BMW X5 4.6i ,BMW has a new facelifted modeland they changed the engine from 4.6i to 4.8i don't you think that the new model would be in the game?

does anybody know if the new 645Ci ,760i and the 330Ci will be in the game ?
the 328 Ci was in GT3 and the new model has 330iCi which replaced the 328Ci.

OK, I was going to make a thread on this, but decided against it.

How do we REALLY KNOW Ferrari and Lambo won't make it. Think about...The SVT Cobra R mustang was featured in BOTH GT3, and NFS:HP2.

For all we know, PD could be keeping many cars a BIG SECRET FROM THIS. They have ever right not to tell us, and keep anything a secret if they have Lambos, or hell, even Koenigsegg. WE may not know until GT4 comes out.
After all, PD kept the F1s a HUGE secret from us. They may doing the same with other cars. After all, it is their game. They don't have to release every car, track, and option if they don't want to.

We all know Lamborghini's JGTC car made it into Japan's version of GT3, by mistake from what I hear.

I have a huge doubt the 6 series will make it. After all, this car has just recently been released to us. The 760Li. HUge doubt on that too. If there is a 7 series, it will most likely be a 735 or 745. Now, the 330I may have a chance. Anyways, like I said above, we never really know until the game comes out.

Well, for one thing, the creator of Gran Turismo himself admitted that there's no Porsche or Ferrari... I think that has some meaning to it. :\ But then again we could be suprised like a few times in the past.

Just because a car has just come out, or is about to come out, should make no difference. The cars have been in the design process for years, and so has GT4. PD probably knew about some cars before most of the people working for certain manufacturers did.

The 645ci was relesed for sale by BMW about 4 months ago and maybe more, and the 1 series isn't relesed for sale yet by BMW, the official launch for the 1 series is in september , can you see my point?

Would that be the same point that was made about the RX-8 and 350Z? Both were concept cars when GT3 was released, but were included in the game.

Must we also forget GT Concept? And entire (ok, not quite) game with nothing but concept cars. When it was released for sale

Just had to note, I saw a 760 last summer in Newport RI. My wife couldn't understand why I was staring, slack jawed as it drove by. What a lovely sound as well. Even after explaining what it was, she still couldn't figure out why I stared. After all, it doesn't look much different than a 735 which I see on a daily basis.

might be same as 350Z and Rx-8,but with a huge diffrence 645Ci is not a concept its a production car, woudl you think that they would have a series which you can race big luxery cars like the 760iL and Merc S600 and the Rolce Royls Phantom and Maybach and Audi S8 ...ect, I know that they are not sport cars but would be intersting to just compare them to each other .

Isn't that exactly what the GT game series is? We've got races that pit less than spectacular FF cars against each other. We've got endurance races with Stock rag top cars. I would absolutely love to have a race that pits those cars against each other.

Also I hear that Autobac has got there own car. Its called the Garaiya. Its a two seat sports car. But I havent heard much. I believe that it will be in gran turismo 4. You technically can't any info of it outside of Japan.

If you bothered to read the list you'd see that two Garaiyas are listed under ASL (Autobacs Sports Labratory).
