Well, with so many cars, it's hard to include all, but why, why do they have to put in so many vintage cars? No offense guys, but I prefer real, racing cars rather then some beat-up muscle cars. I rather they replace them with all the JGTC cars and Le Mans machines..

bah. The best Le Mans machines ARE vintage.

I know the others are for racing too, but why must the type of cars be limited? Why are there no Lambos, Ferraris and why is there no z-concept which are used in JGTC?

yeah the R8 is cool and bleeding fast and all, but it just leaves me cold.

Open top, extreme prototype with complete form-follows-function styling. Just doesn't get me worked up like seeing old Aston Martin DBRs.

to the post above: the Z that is currently doing the rounds in JGTC has been featured in screenshots. So it's in.

Ok, different people have different taste. By the way, are there going to be an endurance 24hours race? Real life 24 hours. I heard that there are going to be in the game, but imagine the number of pit stops if they make us race at the complex string course or LAGUNA SECA raceway......hahahah

One of the best things about the GT series is that it includes basic everyday cars, to classic muscle cars, to all out racing cars. If you want to have a game that only has racing cars i'm sure you could find another one.

So many varieties of car and racing adds the depth to Gran Turismo that other gaes don't have, and those that tried to cash in on PD's formula have all failed.

Keep the vintage cars, I say, as there will be more than enough JGTC and LMP cars to keep us satisfied.

Also, does anyone know if the All-Japan Sports Prototype Car Championship (the forerunner to JGTC that ultimately failed) will be included in GT4?

In reality, anything's welcome, i mean the number of cars in Gt4 compared to any other racing game is enormours, even if we don't get the exact car we want...

The old JGTC Supra isn't included because it's more then likely filler, a car copied from GTC just so they could show off enough JGTC race cars.

You could have a very good point with your opinion about only champions being witheld, but I hope you're wrong ... all these cars are modelled yet, and it would be great to compare several cars of different seasons, not only champions.
The most exotic cars are often not the champions ...

Why would they not include a car, especially if they have all the work pretty much done for putting it in, surely there'd be enough space on the dvds.

Why would they not include the Lancia Stratos street car in GT3, when it was clearly seen modeled in screenshots?

Very true, but with your point about complex-string, that's a race long enough to require a driver changeover. How would you do that??

Even if you cheated with the hybrid ZZ2 (fastest controllable hybrid car), it would still take about 270 minutes to complete that race! And as for a stock MX-5, well, that's almost le-mans style! Well, probably over half!!

Why all the vintage muscle? well if it weren't for these muscler cars that were build for guess what? RACING! We would probably have alot less performance oriented cars on the market. And look at the value of persay:
1970 Boss 429 Mustang
1970 Hemi Cuda
or
1971 Charger Daytona 440 6-pack or Hemi 426

vs the value of

1997 Toyota Supra RZ or twin turbo
1999 Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec II

Those muscle cars are vastly more valuable and in a drag race could prolly shame those imports. Not flaming imports just making an example.
And actualy some muscle was run in LeMans:
Shelby GT350 R
Shelby GT500
Ford GT40 (was more sports but that sound ooh)

And as for JGTC well they do run some nice cars. But hey aslong as it isn't Nascar (hey lets see who can take a left turn better!) I respect it.

Totally agree with you there Hemi, and thankfully the Ford GT is in GT4. The shelby muscle cars (along with many others) were in Gt2. I just hope they make a return appearance in GT4...

Me too, those are some bad @ss cars.

I agree, its just GT4 is still missing quiet a few muscle cars and im sure with all the cars being made, they should be able to stick at least a few more in there such as the '69 Roadrunner and the Superbee 👍

Don't forget the 69 charger R/T, Dodge Super Dart, and the Yenko/Copo Camaros

Supra 3.0GT Turbo-A ('88)
Supra (au Cerumo JGTC '01)
Supra (Esso Ultraflo JGTC '01)
Supra (Tom's WoodOne JGTC '03)*
Vitz Turbo 5-door

Why does the Esso Supra remain on the list?
