I think the old JGTC cars like Tokuhon Tom's and Esso will be IN GT4.
In past case, there were several JGTC cars which was't champion included.
Like NOMAD Diablo......hmm I can't remember the champions.
I'll search next time.

I have another opininon that Tokuhon Supra will be in.
The DRIVER. Tokuhon's driver, Takeshi Tsutiya is very popularity here.
This is enough reason that this car will be in the game.

I don't know why Stratos was't included in GT3. But I think it has inevitable
reason to cut off Stratos. They won't betray us with meaningless reason.
And I hope they won't cut off Tokuhon Supra, that only used to show off
the JGTC race scene in GT4.

Why does the Esso Supra remain on the list?

I added it back in because the TGS car list included it. It's the only non-champion JGTC car that was listed. I guess that means it's in.

So far every GTC car is showing up faithfully. The recent shots of the Seoul track showed all the Hyundai's for instance that were also in GTC. The Esso under discussion was in GTC and there's no reason why it won't be in GT4, because as they're only limitation on getting cars in is time, and this car would require very little time - the modelling detail hasn't gone up much since GTC.

Besides, I think we'll see many different 'textures' (for online racing purposes you'll want cars to look different at least) and they may well not count as a separate car in the carlist this time, we'll see.

One of the very few that I haven't seen yet is the Spyker and the little wagtail (POD) (but I guess that's my fault as it's already on the list :D).

I am interested ... NICE, Arwin, very nice! I like that Spyker ... not overly fussed on the POD however.

I have been making note of GT Concept racers that have appeared in GT4 screens. So far I have yet to see:

Nissan MM-R
Nissan Xanavi GTR 2001
Mazda 6 LM
Mini Rally car
Mitsubishi CZ-3 Rally car
Toyota RSC Castrol

I don't know if I could cope with a 100 lap race of Complex String...

Cosmic
That sucks. Boring. Looking for a challange? Do it.

Polyphony001
Very true, but with your point about complex-string, that's a race long enough to require a driver changeover. How would you do that??

Even if you cheated with the hybrid ZZ2 (fastest controllable hybrid car), it would still take about 270 minutes to complete that race!

I DID do it. The limitations were road cars only, with 600hp or less. I took a Toyota GT-One Road Car and cracked it in well under 7 hours.

The MM-R was allready in Prologue as an ai car, so i think it will be in gt4.

And we allready have the new Xanavi GTR. So i think they wont include the old one.

I know I'm probably the only one who cares about this, but is that all the evidence a non rally Focus might be in? If so that sucks. I was really wantin to have other street models (well, bc I own one lol) to drive. But I'm pretty sure I read an interview w/one of the makers and he mentioned the SVT focus, and it's not on the list (well, it is basically the same as the euro st170). Man I'm disappointed, the WRC Focus just doesn't do it for me. And I hope theres more than just the Cobra R Mustang too.

Totally agree with you there Hemi, and thankfully the Ford GT is in GT4.
That's the new Ford GT, not the original GT40 ...
I'm afraid the old one won't be included : it hasn't appeared in any list or screenshot yet, and ... in GTC it beat the new GT (at least on Autumn Ring Reverse Track). So, as the new GT must appear as supercar in GT4, probably the lighter (and faster?) GT40 won't be included imo :grumpy:

The Mini cooper is a standard car in Concept, i think its avail to start with, the 160hp cooper s.

I'm not surprised you're not overly keen on the pod! Weird thing...
What about the Suzuki GSX4 thing, though? That was in concept but i haven't seen that and its not on the list, so Samberto you might want to add that to your list!! :)

I've seen the Gulf GT40 racing around paris in the new trailer. So it's in.

‘The MM-R was allready in Prologue as an ai car, so i think it will be in gt4.’

Thanks

‘you can forget the Xanavi Skyline,it is already in GT4
But then with the red/grey paint instead of the blue/grey’

As for the Xanavi, we are all well aware of the re-bodied V6 no.23 GT-R (incidentally it carried Pennzoil Zexel sponsorship in a previous year.) The 2001 no. 22 car is the Xanavi Hiroto GTR and does of course have the original straight six engine. To suggest that PD will do away with the Hiroto because they have modelled a car that also shares Xanavi sponsorship is simplistic. For instance the ‘2000 Tom’s Castrol supra and the ‘2001 Tom’s Castrol supra appeared together in GTConcept. We will have to wait and see.
‘What about the Suzuki GSX4 thing, though? That was in concept but i haven't seen that and its not on the list, so Samberto you might want to add that to your list!!’

I was thinking of it more as a concept car, yet you certainly have a point.

Do you race?
And it's very, very nice, far better than the original Gulf GT40.

Faster, yes. Better…well that’s subjective.

Here is a pic of the old boy in GT4

Edit: Cerbman, I was wondering whether you were planning on making contact with Lister. I would quite fancy a road going/GT1 Storm.

I never liked the old-school GT40. The new version looks much better, hence I like the new Gulf GT40.

I presume that you are aware that the Focus RS has been modelled and will no doubt appear.

On the topic of Ford, I am pleased that PD will include both the GT40 Concept and the 2005 GT. The one thing that I am uncertain about is whether PD will rename the “dream” GT40 LM as the GT LM. If so one would presume that the headlights will be altered.

Edit: 359, have you information on the renaming of the GT40 LM?

Aren't Ford bringing out a 4WD Turbo RS Focus too soon??? It'll have something like 250+HP, it's to compete with the Evo's and the Impreza's...

Samberto

I list it as GT LM Edition merely because that's what it SHOULD be, but the only proof of the existence of the car is from screenshots I believe and they don't list the name.

supercharger whine is no replacement for the original's throaty rumble.

the curves were much sexier, and the car was much lower as well. It looked more exotic than the new one.

As you can see from the pic in my previous post, it was officially the GT40 LM in GTC.

Nonetheless, it appears that Ford’s brief acquisition of GT40 naming rights has expired. Interestingly the GT40 concept from GTC has become the Ford GT concept in prologue. In the latest render it goes without any GT nomenclature as the side stripes and number plate simply read ‘Ford.’ This has no doubt been done to ensure that the concept and the production model are not confused.

GT LM it is then…

You are quite right.

I have addressed this issue by sharking the old car’s engine into the new shell, which I then lower significantly.

Edit: if PD includes the 60’s road car from GT3, we can expect five varieties of GT.
