You are quite right.

I have addressed this issue by sharking the old car’s engine into the new shell, which I then lower significantly.

Edit: if PD includes the 60’s road car from GT3, we can expect five varieties of GT.
See below

What is the difference between the yellow and red ones?

Is the yellow the concept?

Yes the yellow model is the GT40 concept that was unveiled at the Detroit show. Incidentally it wears racing slick tyres. The red model is the 2005 production GT. (yellow available on concept car only)

There were actually quite a few cars sponsered by Gulf:

1967 - 2 Mirage M1s
1968 - 3 Ford GT40s
1969 - 2 Ford GT40s
1970 - 3 Porsche 917Ks
1971 - 3 Porsche 917Ks
1973 - 2 Mirage M6s
1974 - 2 Mirage GR7s
1975 - 2 Mirage GR8s
1994 - 1 Kremer K8-Porsche
1995 - 2 McLaren F1 GTRs
1996 - 2 McLaren F1 GTRs
1997 - 3 McLaren F1 GTRs
2001 - 1 Audi R8

Aren't Ford bringing out a 4WD Turbo RS Focus too soon??? It'll have something like 250+HP, it's to compete with the Evo's and the Impreza's...

300+hp 4WD Focus RS;)

The GT40 and R8 were the only ones I knew of.

I know it's in because it was confirmed to me by Jaguar, but what proof do YOU have that the 61 E-type coupe is definately in? I have done a search for photos on here and not found any, can you help?

supercharger whine is no replacement for the original's throaty rumble.

the curves were much sexier, and the car was much lower as well. It looked more exotic than the new one.
The new GT beraley whines.
Watch the Top Gear vid where they test one.
It rumbles. Not exactly like the old one, but still no whine.
Wanna hear a whine? Listen to a 2003 or 2004 Mustang Cobra with a Kenne Belle Supercharger.
More like screams but still.

The mustang cobra whine is very obvious. I call it whine because I don't like the sound. It doesn't give me shivers like a throaty naturally aspirated V8.

And what I was trying to say about the GT is that it sounds nice, but nowhere near as nice as the vintage 289s or 427s.

Unless your an accountant.
Someone has a TVR Cerbera across the road from me that wakes me up when he goes to work.

Surely every accountant doesn't have a TVR.

Even though I'm sure quite a lot of them could afford it. ;) :)

Only if the Ford Gt didn't have mufflers. That's the sound you're looking for if it ran with just straight long tube headers.

Then pretty much everyone in Europe would be woken up.

In hindsight, I suppose a throaty rumble would be less likely to wake me up than a supercharger scream.

I've seen the Gulf GT40 racing around paris in the new trailer. So it's in.
I was in fact writing about the road cars on street tyres.

The '69 GULF GT40 will probably remain as it was an important car for Ford (Le Mans winner). The '66 Ford GT40 hasn't been confirmed yet. (Neither has any other 60's version of the GT40.)

oh. You mean the 289 powered street homologation? It's been in GT2 and GT3, I don't see why it wouldnt make it.

p.s. to 98cobra: HELL YES! straight headers.

krack-kakrack-kakrack. There's a guy down the street from me with a '70 nova with straight headers. It shakes the ground*.

Yeah wow that must sound the nuts. Not a great noise but my dad removed the cats in his 4.6 P38 range rover. Still has the rest of the exhaust but sounds meaty enough! :)

My brother (camaro chris) just was in contact with chevy and asked what cars the licienced for GT4, and the lady he talked to said she try to get the information and email it to him. So hopefully we'll find out soon, I am also trying to contact Ford.

I have also asked Chevy and I am waiting a reply I also made rounds on a few other companies and I am waiting for response from:

Ford
Chevy
Ferrari
Porsche
Koenigsegg
couldn't get a e-mail or # for Lambo.....

Next on the list to hit are:
Dodge
Chrysler
Shelby American
and any other companies anyone wants me to try...

You realize that Chrysler and Dodge would be the same thing? You'd have to email DaimlerChrysler. Same with Chevrolet, you'd have to email General Motors to get Buick/Cadillac/Chevrolet.

LOL, Alonsomania. Add in a few Wartburgs and Volgas and you've got GT4 made. Here's a few shots of the mighty Imp:

How can you not like these little fellas? Here's a link:

Now, to the important part: are they in GT4? Because I would love to throw one of these around the Nurburgring as much as I would like to do so with my car, the Argonaut.
