ive got an idea, does anybody that is still active on this thread have a post on the first page? if u do u could put all the information together and actually update it sayin if things work or not and if u have to do certain things to them for them to work.

and if u want, i would make a new thread just for confirmed things that work.

hell, a website too, if someone had the information together, i could make a site and put it on there.

Look HERE for the List that ive made.
Iwill put it on my website too.

Ive PMed Jordan to make my thread Sticky to post hardware that works, no disscusion, and this thread for General discussion about hardware. But he didnt respond?!

without using a usb storage device is there any way i can get my photos from my ps2 to my pc. I have a usb printer wire if that helps :) cheers

I have an iPod and it works. its not the fastest thing in the world though. the battery also wears out quickly by writing too many pics to it. i just got a USB flash drive.

mine doesn't.

BTW, I'm using the slim PS2 SCPH 70001.
Wow .. that completely defeated my theory on why the Cruzer Mini works on some PS2s and not on others. Wait, my theory has one last chance, did you format the Cruzer to FAT32?

WTF? I got a Kingmax 128MB USB drive and my shot's look like crap. There all under 100kb (all of em around 70-80KB) and i have it set to save usb shots at super fine.......

here's my drive

creative muvo micro n200 works just fine. i think the way to figure out if your storage product works is if it has plug and play operation and or "no driver needed".

I just picked up my PNY Attache 256MB today at best buy. They have rebates that bring the price down to $20.00. It works wonderfully.

Tom's Site I know the site needs a little work, but im too busy playing GT4 to work on it :)

Might as well mention my Muro 512mb Mp3 player works. :dopey:

BTW, does anyone know if there's a way to use a USB storage device for the AR Max?? I still haven't found anything about it. Thanks for your help.

I use a Memorex 128 Mb Thumb Drive without a problem. This drive works fine with the MaxDrive software.

Just picked this quote from another forum:

Haven't seen this mentioned anywhere and i'm not too sure if this is the relevent section (maybe Q + A would be better) but however as mentioned in the title i was messing around in photo mode in Gran Turismo and i haven't got a USB storage dongle so i thought "What would happen if i connected my PSP to the PS2 and use that as a storage device?", so i tried it and sure enough BINGO transferred no problem! It was then just a matter of connecting the PSP to my PC and transferring the pics to my PC!! It even makes it's own GT4 folder on the PSP mem stick!

So a nice little touch if like me you don't have a portable usb storage thing!!

I currently have a USB cable for my PSP on its way from Hong Kong. I also have a 512Mb card in the PSP so I may give this a try.

so is the ar-max a complete no-no then of can it be re-formatted somehow?

if it can be re-formatted please could someone post hiow to do it!
if its already been posted sorry im lazy and i gotta go out
catcha later ;)

I have 3 things but i dont know if they work.

1. Max drive, can i format it to get it working?
2. Fujifilm digital Q1, does it work?
3. SD card and Card Reader, i dont know weather it would work.

Please help. My tv is buzy for another 30 mins

I own a PS2 SCPH-30001/97000 version 3 date code 1a. What USB memory flash do you recomend me to use, i havent tried whit any. What USB port version does this PS2 has?

Most flsh drives will work instantly and all flash drives will work if you fiddle around with them.

To my knowledge PS2s have USB 1.0 (mine does anyway) be on the safe side and get a flsh drive that does both I would reccomend a Kingstone one for reliability or a disgo one for compatibility and speed. I personally have both a Kingstone datatraveler 2 and a Disgo pro and Classic, all three of them are easy to use and fast.

I also have a Bytestore it has slow transfer rates when connected to my ps2 and was difficult to format.

The problem with PNY is that they don't last. Eventually you will start to see errors. At work we had ti switch all PNY because of frequent problems.
