Week 9 winner Syntax error​

This week’s theme will be "80's Retro" as chosen by week 9 winner Syntax error.​

Further explanation of theme:

Cars:
All cars built in the 80's (This includes Race, Rally, Concept & Tuning).

Tracks:
Any track.





Winner will select the top 10 for the poll and pick the theme for the following week.
Post your final entry in red letters. Such as “Final Entry”
A preview image may be used, but it may be no bigger than 300*400 pixels by either photo orientation.
You may have two honorable mentions if a preview image is not used.
If you change your entry, you may use a preview image in your new post, as a link to the original post.
Do not use an entry from a previous competition.
Do not post more than three photos in this thread.
Only one entry may be submitted, and it must be uploaded using Imageshack and have the thumbnail picture.

Sharpen tool
Burn tool
Dodge Tool

Clone Stamp Tool (for removing watermark)

[Note:No plug-ins for any of the above adjustments or filters are to be used]​

You can use layers for overlay and layer adjustments, but not to alter the geometry and original subject matter of the picture: like
adding stickers and body kits, and objects that are not in the original image​

BTW, there will be a new rule next week, that you will only be able to change your final entry once per week. I was going to put it in this week but i forgot. These threads just get a little out of hand when people change thier entries several times.

Cool theme. 80s cars (and everything 80s) are the most ugly of all times though . It's Japan's golden era though, so I'll be trying to make a typically Japanese 80s styled shot ^^

BTW, my wife, who is Japanese, is a big fan of Miami Vice . Very joyable series! Awesome car (the Testarossa) too ofcourse, it sucks that GT is Ferrariless .

Well... I think "Entry" should already be elligible, and when you put "Final Entry" you're not allowed to change anymore.
So in combination with your rule this means you can:
Call your first entry "entry" - you still have the right to change it once, but you can also leave it like this
You call your second (or first) entry "final entry" - You can't change anymore.

HAHA... not wrong there my friend!! Horrible fashion, some of the cars could have been better..... but the music was great!!!! hehehe And definalty the golden age of Japanese performance....

What are you talking about? The music was the worst of all!
Some of the cars could have been better? Let's just say the majority sucked! And only a few designs from very talented people maintained solid quality (Pininfarina, Bertone,...). The 90s were pretty boring too though.

It's interesting to notice that many 70s cars actually totally have an 80s design. And late 80s cars (like the Mitsubishi HSR) also often have 90s designs. Futuristic, in those times, ofcourse. But it does "disturb" the effect of an age limitation, you know. If you want "80s style". Some 70s cars look more "80s style" than some late 80s cars, you know. But it's not so important ofcourse.

I think this is mostly true with european cars though. They started producing these "90s" models with more round shapes already in '84 or something (Ford Sierra, Opel Kadet) whereas most of the japanese cars cept their "box" looks to the 90s.
