This week’s theme will be "Amalfi Hairpins" as chosen by Week 63 Winner alexwrc. ​

Further explanation of theme: ​

Another original comp theme from Alex, this week he wants images captured from the last two hairpins on Amalfi (heading in the normal direction). What will you do to make your's stand out?
​

Cars: Any.
Tracks: Costa di Amalfi (two final hairpins).
Phototravel: No.
​

• Winner will select the top 10 for the poll and pick the theme for the following week.
• Post your final entry in red letters. Such as “Final Entry”
• A preview image may be used, but it may be no bigger than 300*400 pixels by either photo orientation.
• You may have two honorable mentions if a preview image is not used.
• You may change your Final Entry once. If if you do so, please edit your original entry make a new post linking to it.
• Do not use an entry from a previous competition.
• Do not post more than three photos in this thread.
• Only one entry may be submitted, and it must be uploaded using Imageshack and have the thumbnail picture.

You can use layers for overlay and layer adjustments, but not to alter the geometry and original subject matter of the picture: like adding stickers and body kits, and objects that are not in the original image.​

AFAIK Richard Burns Rally is the only game on PS2 that has enough accurate physics model for that move. And isn't it mostly for loose surfaces anyway? But of course you could save the tears and do a move that looks like it.

Amalfi Sunset

I tried to concentrate on the lighting a bit more in this shot than I usually do. The car looks at an odd angle due to the way I took the corner which is niggling me a bit but I'm pleased with the lighting and that's all that matters to me really!

I think this shot is good. Not as good as Moglets but good. I am not sure if the smoke effect is allowed if it isn't then I will change my entry. But I don't think it is too noticable anyway.

I will say more about Mog's now..... It completely over shadows mine. I thought mine was realistic, but nope I was wrong as usual, just look at his it is jaw dropping.

The theme says where is the place. Evidentrly, they are the last two turns at reverse, so it was just an explanation.

Yeah, I just mentioned the normal direction so people would know which two turns I was talking about. If you do the track in Reverse, then you'd end up with some very different shots and I didn't want that happening .

All the shots are looking good, however, Speedster, added smoke is not allowed. It is well-done, but it would take this comp a bit too close to a full-on PS comp. I'll have to ask for the regular-smoke version

All the shots are looking good, however, Speedster, added smoke is not allowed. It is well-done, but it would take this comp a bit too close to a full-on PS comp. I'll have to ask for the regular-smoke version

I am going to have to completely change it then, the orginal has been out into a folder, presumably by accident that I can't actually get into. So here's my new one. It stinks, but I still wanted to enter. I really wanted that other shot to be allowed but rules are rules so I will go with this one.
