question: can we put a title in the photo? like a caption?

The rules state "Photoshop can be used to crop, resize, adjust brightness and contrast, and for adding text." so I guess captions are ok. Personally, I'd rather you added your caption under your picture as it is a photo competition after all. But if you really must add text - make it worth reading lol.

SUZQ044:: I see where you are coming from saying the cars are blury, but i am going for a look which actually makes the cars look like they are moving dont want it to look as though it is a still shot, you know what i meen ? a little bit of blur always makes it look like its moving dont you think ??

Finally managed to get USB flash memory, please feel free to comment 👍

Final Entry

Honourable Mentions

Toska, a little bit is one thing, but you can do that by focusing on the cars, and pulling down the focus/arpeture on the background.. giving it a motion blur of the background and not of the focal point, the way you have it, it seems as if you want people to look at the background, and not the cars.. for example:

'Somebody' (user), are you going to create a picture of the top 20 finalists together, as you did last week?
That was awsome
I've been concentrating on improving my time over at the WRS comp (not that it did me any good). Now that I've given up doing any good there this week, I'll do the finalists pic and post it with my final entry some time soon.

hey nice shot ... but one thing i noticed right away was this. The cars in the foreground (even though they are blurred) seem to take away from the focus of the Datsun. I think that it is partially due to the fact that in this perticular contest it is a for classic cars. I also think that even if this wasn't just classic cars the datson vs thoes first 3 cars is a little overwelming. Now if I had the opportunity to take that exact picture, I would have used something that the datson could compete with.

Now for the positive :) I really like the way the cars are positioned with the center car being in the center of the lighted area and the other cars in the shadows, it makes for a nice effect.

Hope this all helps
Chris

i'd like comments on mine too, what to improve if anything in general about the shots you do/dont like.. ?? cause i want to improve, not enter the same style thing every time and never get chosen so.. COMMENTS APPREICATED ::MY ENTRY::

edit:
toska-- your final entry is a bit blurry.. try adjusting your focus, the background came in clearer than the cars, so i would suggest aiming the camera and using the manual focus to pinpoint what you want the camera to focus on, then adjust the angle as you wish.. the composition aside from that is pretty decent 👍

Final Entry

Last weeks finalists and the first 10 winners

My apologies for not making the Winners pic more exciting but I'm tired and out of inspiration for the day. :guilty:

final entry

suzq044, Your entry contains cars that do not adhere to the rules, you will have to change it if you want a chance of being picked for the final 20.
I don't think I'm being pedantic or anything, there's plenty of scope within the rules for lots of cars to be used. Thought I'd give you a chance to change it rather than wait for you to ask why you weren't chosen, and be a reminder to everyone else.

Cheers.

Right here we go, same picture but not as blurry, this better SUZQ044??

FINAL ENTRY

The rules kinda have a loop hole if you ask me.

The eligable cars have to have been built between 1960 and 1980
Any Track
Photo must have at least two eligable cars in shot

It seems they leave room for extra cars as long as two eligable cars are included.

P.S. is it possible to take pictures in 2player? I dont think so but I was wondering if anyone found a way you could.

Yeah, I guess it is badly worded, sorry - I still don't want non 1960 to 1980 cars in though.
